Mini update here! Life is great, I booked my flight to see my sister, BIL and future niece/nephew in SC in April. The weekend prior to that I will be competing in my first power lifting competition, I dead lift with my coach this weekend as well.
Last night we found out that a neighbourhood of micro homes are being built and will be for sale come Spring, https://littlehouseco.com/ if anyone is interested in seeing them
Sounds awesome!
BTW, I meet with a powerlifting coach on Thursday and I'm freaking excited!!!
Awesome! Keep us updated on how it goes.0 -
Congrats on the powerlifting coach, Quik!!! Can't wait until we hear how you do in your first competition. Did you ever imagine when you started Stronglifts that you would be getting into powerlifting? I am completely jealous of the progress you ladies who lift have made in the past year!2

I need dates, people. Rock Hill is a day trip and I need to know where in NC you are running, Patricia. That may also be a day trip. Charleston is a weekend, though.0

Nope. Didn't really even realize it was a thing...3 -
I've already mowed through 650 calories this morning. Uh oh! Hangry day!
ETA: And now my stomach hurts.1 -

I knew someone was around there! I just couldn't remember who! I'll be there Friday April 14th to the 17th
I would love to meet up, lunch and maybe lifting? What do you think Mel?2 -

OH MAN! Lifting heavy is killing me, hungry all the damn time! Still not sure if I want to go to maintaining until after comp or not.1 -

I confess I am also jealous. @quiksylver296 @MissKalhan @BodyByBex @MoHousdon (and I'm sure I've forgotten others) have all made incredible progress!! But I know how hard they have been working and I'm not quite so envious anymore. What can I say, I'm kind of lazy5 -

I will check the calendar when I get home. If there are no conflicts, we'll make a plan.1 -

Ummmm, I know how to make jalepeno cranberry sauce, so we could probably figure out the syrup, right?0 -
I really want an Apple Watch 2, but I keep putting off buying one because of how much it cost. I know I don't need one, but it's pretty and has some pretty cool features, so I want it. I want one so bad that I had a dream about one last night, lol.
I mean I know eventually I'm going to buy one, but I'm trying to be good and not buy one b/c my Fitbit still works. Plus, my sister is getting married this year, so I'm going to have to buy a bridesmaid dress. I'm going to Vegas in May, so it's not like I don't have things that my money needs to go to, but yeah... eventually it's going to happen. I already know myself, lol.3 -

Eta: on this highly mythical trip I have invented and invited myself to thanksgiving if there is moonshine pie6 -
Those pancakes sound amazing!
I upped my calories to 1820 (1.5 lb/wk) and I've been trying so hard not to spend all of my extra calories on sweets! I feel a lot better on 1800 so far, since I started getting dizzy while working out when I was eating 1610...
Despite that small setback, I've added 10 lbs to my bench press, 5 lbs to my other lifts, and tacked on 1 extra minute of running to my interval training!12 -

I am the same way. That's why my husband never knows what to get me for birthdays and such. If I want something I find a way to get it myself!1 -

For sure! It's just really odd because I'm so full all the time! But, I'm doing strength training 2x a week and interval running 2x a week with yoga in between, so I imagine my body deserves all the fuel I can afford to give it
...And with that in mind, I'm going to go see if I can make some black bean brownies4 -
Hello. I've lost 15 lbs.12

My friend and I are the same way. We actually were going to get each other a gift but we couldn't because we each had already purchased it for ourselves, lol.3 -

Great progress! There is always the temptation to run and eat the sweets when you have extra calories to spare.2 -
@kellyjellybellyjelly Thanks! I'm trying my best lol
@raymax4 Most definitely. I'm trying to focus on more healthy sweets and that seems to be helping. The black bean brownies I'm making tonight (will post pictures later) are only 134 calories per brownie and smell amazing so far!1
