I gave up a pair of jeans I barely wore. And I have a housecoat I never wore (bought two online for $25 each, size "tent"). Plus some nice dress shirts are pulled from my closet and ready to go (I look ridiculous in them). A lot of nice clothes going out but I'm not ready to replace them yet as I'm still losing.14 -

Yeah, don't really do date nights. Just go to the Keg after snow shoeing and don't have to look so nice for that. And I really do hate clothes shopping. So I'm waiting until ~ 220 before buying dress clothes. Except running gear. That I've bought.
Next I need to go through my t-shirts and send a bunch of them away. I can fit an XL and have 4XL in my drawer. And before you ask, yes I threw out the underwear.....15 -

Things i have learned.
1. Bras. Before i started losing weight i had an extender. Now I have no more hooks left to tighten them. I will have to buy new bras.
2. My collarbone. I have one! Who knew! Haven't found out if i have hip bones yet!
3. That the junk food i used to eat - like processed cheese singles- i cant eat any more. They taste awful.
4. I am so happy watching the scales go down i dont want to waste calories on junk food.
5. That when you do the right thing and lose in a healthy way with mfp it really is easy.
6. That i thought i wasnt fat before. But i was. I honestly saw myself smaller the whole time.
And this is after losing "only" 16 of the 40 kilos i have to lose.!34 -

Agreed! No one told me Goodwill And thrift shops would be my new best friend for clothes, at least until I reach maintenance!11 -

In the end muscle weighs more than fat and you get to a point where you experience weight gain, but it is muscle mass and you are actually more fit!15

This is me to, And now that im skinnier i think im fat because it comes off all weird and leaves me lumpy and easily bloated5 -
That my scale is a lying b**ch,it refuses to move but my clothes are all loose,i am discovering new bones,my underwear keeps falling down and even my shoes are loose.I took someone's advice and started measuring myself and i am losing inches like crazy.38

This was me too. I never thought I was that big until I was smaller. But I also now still see myself as that big when I'm not... I just want to know what I actually look like!!!!! lol26 -
It won't solve all your problems.
You will have more people hitting on you and asking you out, but beware. Go for the folks who were hitting on you when you weighed more because those are the people that respect you for you. You'll have to find good ways to weed out the shallow trophy seekers. That's a new problem that you likely haven't dealt with before, so don't get trapped by flattery.

How you can't believe how much energy you have, how unhealthy foods are now disgusting, how destructive some people are in your life (pushing food and telling you you look "sick" when you've never felt better in your life), how jealous some get of your new body, how AMAZING it feels to be CURVY, how much better sex is and your labido, how much you realise you can't respect folks who choose to stay unhealthy like you were, how you annoy others by telling them much healthier and sensible other food options are9

Yup that was me in total denial until the photos I had where I thought I looked ok became my before photos...such a massive difference.14 -

don't worry about the scale!! I had the same thing 2.5 months of scale not moving but dropping sizes like crazy...then the big whoosh came. great job!!16 -

Ahhh. When and if that ever happens to me I will suck it up and try to cope!19 -
That it's so much easier to floss your teeth when not fighting with fat-packed cheeks and lips
Thinking about it, I didn't even realise what a struggle it was until I lost weight and found it so much easier to do. Much like a thousand other little things (tying shoe laces, heck, putting shoes ON; washing your back, bending over to pick something up . . . the list is endless).
And why my bed appears to have suddenly become so much bigger? I have to roam around for what seems like miles to find my husband now No more fights over the duvet anymore either33 -
I know this one's been said, several times, and I'm certain I've already said it as well, but...
No one told me I'd be losing shoe sizes... Had to go get new shoes this week since I magically seem to have lost 2 full size...
Not that this girl is complaining too much. Went from a size 43EU (11-11.5US) to a size 41EU (9.5-10US) [Women's sizes... in case you're wondering].
There is suddenly soooooo much more choice
My credit card was practically crying, even though I had promised myself I'd only buy a simple shoe for work, a gym shoe and a high heel in a neutral color. There was no mention of the 2 pairs of leather ballerinas, 3 pairs of high heels, 2 pairs of gym shoes and where that pair of converse came from... well... you see... it kinda jumped out at me and I had to buy it in self-defense.
The basic work shoe? Whoops... I'll need to go back to the stores on Saturday...
(Side note: I had been saving up money for a shoe shopping spree since my summer shoes gave up on me last year and I knew from experience that the larger sizes are much much more expensive and ever so rarely on sale. So yes, I actually had the money to burn and still have spare since most of those shoes where half off!!!!!!!!!)45
