How much more important making sure the toilet seat is down now! Never had to worry about falling in before. I'll give everyone 2 guesses on how I found this out this morning.
I do like how my thighs look while sitting there though—so much trimmer and no more fat hanging over the edge of the seat.

Mentally, weight loss really can mess with you!
I was thinking today, that finally after losing a majority of my weight, I feel like this is how I'm "supposed" to look. Like, in a healthy form as to how my features should look, my body shape, etc. Not that I've reached my pinnacle of being or anything... Haha. But, I have always been bigger. I had no idea what I would look like slimmer. So now I just would like my brain to catch up to my current form, as I still kinda feel like an imposter. 😐
Also, everyone always says they are colder after weight loss. IT IS SO TRUE, I CAN NEVER GET WARM. Seriously, I take 2 showers a day so I can feel warm. Now maybe Snuggies aren't so ridiculous. 😂

I have mentioned this before but the number of 'bumps' and 'dents' you will find on yourself is shocking.
I have bumps under my breasts that are now visible when I reach upwards (aka, they freaked me out when I was changing a bulb yesterday - till I realised they were ribs!).
Then lying curled on my side there is a new 'dent' around the hip area.
Awesome to find, but I have ZERO basis for what 'normal' is anymore haha
That freaked me out too! I saw a picture of myself in a two piece and was like, “What creepy lumps are those?!?!” Oh, ribs. And the big sternum bump, also freaky when I’m reaching up!

Two showers! Showers tend to make me colder, not in them, but in the drying phase.
I have already decided I need to get some nice robes/housecoats/cardigans to wear around the house. And lounge pants (not shorts), and fluffy socks, or house shoes. All the lovely "snuggly" type of loungewear.
I thought it was hormonal (post kids) that I was suddenly hot all the time instead of being cold all the time like I used to be. No, I was just overweight. I'm cold again now.9 -
How much cute(r), younger and more vivacious you look and feel.
How much SMALLER your stomach (outside but especially inside) becomes. How you used to be able to "wolf" down hordes of food, but now you get so much fuller on so much less food.
How much more compassionate and at the same time different (NOT better, but different) you feel when you see obese/overweight people now. Before you may have felt like "I'm fitting in and everybody is "fat"--you tend to only see "everyone" in the crowd and as you're people watching as outta shape, but once you "get down to size" so to speak, you start noticing how VERY many "fit" people are all around you and it's a LOT of fit people around you now, again, that you simply didn't notice...for some weird reason, I simply didn't notice how many in shape people as much as the obese/overweight/morbidly obese people all around me--it seemed like they (obese/overweight) folks were everywhere--"the norm" so to speak, again, as much as you get slimmer and trimmer the slimmer and trimmer folk stick out more now.
I've heard of people being "nastier/unfriendlier" or not treating obese/overweight people as well as slim people. I'm noticing the opposite. As I am almost 60lbs down and nearing "normal" BMI and looking/dressing cuter and cuter more and more each day...I'm noticing less smiles from people (women) as when I was obese--when I was obese, women tended to smile at me so much more than now. I'm getting far more "eye-rolls" if you will, from woman and far more smiles/attention from men. It's amazing!
How much better/deeper/longer your sleeping is--it's wonderful--how less grouchy/irritable/discombobulated you are upon waking up from a full night's sleep being slimmer and trimmer is--it's amazing and wonderful too.

Did you ever have a sleep study? Sleep apnea can be reduced by losing weight, I am wondering if you had mild sleep apnea and it is getting better now that you lost weight.

No, I've never studied sleep apnea, but I wouldn't be surprised in the LEAST if I had it--at least a mild version of it or something--because sleep elluded me EVERYNIGHT for YEARS --such a YUCK it was--no more though-I sleep soundly/silently/peacefully everynight now--YAY. When I was obese I NEVER slept more than 2-3 hours at a tme max per night, I used to almost DREAD sleeping, because I was never at peace or comfortable or even wanting to sleep really. When I was obese, sleeping was as much of a trial as weight-reduction was for me. I was constantly getting/waking up all thru the night and my poor husband would tell me often than I would snore so loud it would often wake him up. He is a darling man and didn't complain a lot, but my entire family would tell me of my loud snoring. Beginning when I lost about 30+lbs, my snoring stopped and at 40lbs down I began sleeping super soundly--I'm almost 60lbs down and now crave sleep and sleep like a baby now. I asked my husband if I snore anymore and he said no, I never snore anymore (amazing). Wow, becoming slim and trim is working absolute wonders for me in the sleeping department and I'm so VERY glad.16 -

Wow, just the opposite for me--when I was obese, men (strangers) used to generally ignore me OR at the very least, indifferent. I used to be amazed with WONDER at how very MANY woman (and babies too) would smile so beautifully at me ALL the time when I was obese...not so much now from woman but THANKFULLY babies and children still continue smile and try to get my attention--it's so cute/darling/adorable is it when (strangers) babies and children smile and say hi to me now AND when I was obese--no change there--but women, I'm definitely noticing a change in the "friendliness" in women towards me, but it's cool...just different . The men (strangers) let's just say, super "friendlier" to me than when I was obese. I now find men (strangers) to treat me totally different from when I was obese. Not particularly deep, in my opinion, or else it's just something I came to terms with a long time ago. I'm an introvert anyway, so being the focus of any kind of attention (even positive) makes me decidedly uncomfortable.10

Definitely get comfy loungewear. I live in fuzzy socks at home, the ones that have the grippy dots on the bottom.

Oh how I wish this will happen to me! I've always been a great sleeper, but ever since starting the first symptoms of pre-menopause, sound sleep has eluded me, and it is TORTURE. I've tried everything, and yes, I've had a sleep study done (don't have sleep apnea). Just one night of really relaxing sleep ... is that really too much to ask for? I don't feel like me anymore.

Confidence booster is under rated. It really was awesome.
Health booster is obvious, but people don't understand how bad for your body it can be.3 -
I suppose it's not that no one told me, but more so I didn't heed the warnings that once you re-gain it's much more difficult to get back into the groove of losing again. I'm slowly making my way through it, but dang I want to be my old size again and wish I could just snap my fingers and be there already!26

How much more fun shopping is. I try on shirts I have no intention of buying just to see how the cut (like slim or athletic) fits. I used to dread trying on some I liked because I knew the size that fit would be hanging off my shoulders so that it wasn't too tight around the gut.9

How emotional the process is.
I've been near tears of joy for two days because of the progress I'm making.
A few months ago, I was upset because of the way people were behaving over my weight loss.
A couple years ago, it was frustration because it seemed like nothing was happening, but I was determined to not quit.

The closer I get to goal, the truer this is. What’s wild is that the more I eat the more I lose, as long as I’m working out hard and eating clean.
And there’s something amazing about eating real food when you’re really, truly hungry.

Anyone else notice how much less physical space smaller clothes take up in the closet or in a suitcase? And suitcases weigh less too! Also less loads of laundry because it takes more clothing to make up a load of smaller sizes17

Actually, I'm doing 3 times the laundry now. It's called gym clothes. But, yep, for my regular clothes a lot less space is needed. My S/M t-shirts fit 3 wide folded in my drawers, my old XXL fit two wide.

Read this entire thread over several months while stepping in my kitchen (getting my 10k steps in every day). When I started reading, I was perhaps halfway through my journey, and over the past two month I hit my goal and went beyond it. This thread kept these feet moving and the determination to succeed high.
Things I’ve found since reaching the bottom end of 140’s:
The bath hurts like nothing I’ve ever felt before (and I’ve had three kids!). That tailbone is not playing along! I need a pillow or something to sit on!
I can no longer hold my phone on my lap/between my legs, it slips right through the gap and I will smash it!
I’ve had to shorten the strap on my cross body bag, I found when I bent forward it would slip off and land round my ankles.
I’ve lost a remarkable amount of fat on my upper body. Collar bones and ribs on upper chest are clearly visible, as is my xyphoid process (which I love feeling), but lower down is still soft and lumpy in places as are my arms. My boobs are non-existent. So is my bottom.
I feel so strong, confident, flexible, and happy!
The discipline of weight loss has transferred to other areas of my life, my house is in the process of a brutal decluttering and is becoming a really lovely place to be!

For me it's not a case of judging what someone else is choosing to eat - just that the stuff that used to sound tasty just doesn't any more. The very thought of a 4 cheese pizza or sauce made with heavy cream just doesn't appeal so I don't need to make room for it in my menu. Now, a piece of a good, cold chocolate bar - will squeeze that in whenever I can20 -
that the leather jacket I bought last year is still too tight.
But now, it is too tight across my shoulders! stupid swimming!
(not stupid swimming at all really - was mega chuffed the other week when some said I was getting swimmer's build and shoulders! but meh, I like the jacket)12 -
