Eating in the shower?

I have a random question for all of you. Do you ever bring a snack with you when you take a bath/shower (I sit in the shower quite often so it is more like a combination bath and shower.

Anyway, does anyone bring a small something if you are going to relax in the tub? I feel like I'm really weird when I do this. I usually bring cut up fruit or something of the like.

I know this topic may rub people the wrong way. Yes, I am very aware that it is not considered "normal". The way I look at it, is if people can drink wine while taking a bath, why not being a snack since I can't/won't drink wine.

I would love to hear people's opinion whether it be good or bad. Also, I would happy to find out in not the only one who does this.

    Just water.

I think if you enjoy it, rock on.

    Shower beer, heck yes.

That's really it for me, but my shower is really small, so food would probably get all wet.

    Hmmm.... a new cleanse!

But no. Other than maybe finishing off my gummy vitamins I popped in my mouth before stepping in.

Hahaha, I feel like I'd probably get whatever I was eating all soapy or something, and then take a bite by accident. I've never liked bringing wine into the bath with me, glass + slippery surfaces = a bad idea when you're clumsy.

I do although it feels weird at times lol. Especially since I don't know anyone else who does it. Really long hot showers is my stress relief.

Hahahahahaha omg, I should write a book telling that eating in shower helps you lose weight, and the people who have plateaued just means they have to be in the shower for a longer period of time. Oh, and you can never eat outside the shower because it will turn right into fat.

Haha. I sit in my tub with shower head on but no drain plug. Probably another weird thing no one does lol.

Shower beer, that's it. So do you have the shower running down on you while you're sitting in the bath? Doesn't the food get wet?

    This thread made me laugh.

lol I was wondering the same thing. Don't you kinda have to stay away from the water so your food doesn't get wet?

  • Yes, pretty common. Cereal, waffles, snacks, tea, toast, bagels.

I once ate mashed potatoes while in the bath. My dd was just born and it was the only way to eat and get a bath that day. I may have been crying as well.
I don't bring food in the bath now but if you like snacking then I don't think it matters in any way.

My shower isn't over the bath, but there was a shower over the bath in a hotel I stayed in in New Orleans and I remember lying in the bath, no plug, with the shower beating down on me for like an hour. I had the worst hangover in the world, and it was heaven.

Yes that is pretty much what I do. Food almost never gets wet because I keep it on the tub "wall" (I can't remember the actual name lol). Besides it is usually a cut up orange or apples and other fruits so if it gets a bit wet, it's not a big deal.

In a shower, no. In a bath, I'd be more receptive but I haven't done it.

I was thinking I'd try this but then I remembered I use my shower as a way to pass time before my next snack...so it wouldn't be that pleasurable to me.

I had just finished a 20+ mile walk, and had an event later that night so I needed to shower - but I was starving and salt deprived and really short on time so I ate a snack sized bag of chips in the shower, but it felt really weird to me.

When I was a little kid I would sneak Doritos into the bathroom for my bath time and dip it in mcdonalds honey mustard haha. I liked it a little soggy. There are many things that are attributed to my weight problems lol

To answer the wet food question, since someone asked again. It typically stays fairly dry. The shower head is aligned to the middle of the tub , so I'm not directly under it.

Not sure why that's weird. If I'm tired or have a headache or hangover then I also do this... Bathtub is gross and too small for an actual bath. Shower bath feels nice.
