Agreed with Vince Vaughn, I cannot stand him - not sure why. He's not even good "bad" like Nic Cage, who just makes my pee my pants with awfulness. I have avoided the "Hangover" films on the basis that they have Vaughn in and because it's like WOOHOOOO cringefest - ergh.

Vince Vaughan wasn't in the Hangover movies......? But I agree his character is always the same. He was the best in Swingers but since then he's pretty lame.

Vicky Christina Barcelona. Pretentious, dull crap.

I know there are others on the hate list, but that's one of the few i couldn't even sit through all the way.

Oh that was awful. And I like Woody Allen.

I like the way penelope cruz and her husband (in real life) argue. it was totally real. god. penelope cruz. i would do a lot of bad things for that girl.

The Kings Speech---Good Grief. Just awful.
Hugo---My company actually took my whole department to see this when it came out as a "Christmas Outing". I was asleep after two scenes.

Some that were mentioned here that I really loved were:

Black swan: I took many, many years of dance so I am probably biased.
Avatar: I got it and it made me think. It's one of the only movies I ever saw that I would NOT have rather read as a book.

Titanic. There was enough room on the EXPLETIVE door for both of them! EXPLETIVE!

    Edit: MORE EXPLETIVE!

Apparently I'm one of the few people who liked Titanic.. hehe

But I do have to say, If Rose had kept her *kitten* in the damned boat to start with, Jack would have been able to lie on the door and they both would have lived. Selfish b#tch. lol

    Halloween...
I was excited to see it since it was very popular and 'scary' in it's time. But I was SO BORED! I thought it would get better, but it just didn't! I understand that scary movies from then and now are totally different, but still, I didn't see the appeal at all!!

ALL the really scary movies from the 60's and 70's are really boring and tame by today's standards.

Oh...and 'Bridesmaids'....I had a bee in my bonnet over that for at least 3 days. I so wanted to bust Kristen Wiig's character Annie in the face with a chair. Repugnantly weak, shallow, whiny, manipulative, wretched POS female character. If I were her, I would be ashamed for ever playing a role like that. Don't people have any integrity?

Everybody seemed to love this movie: it just made me angry that there are stupid girls out there like her who drive and vote.

Exactly...I thought I was the only one who thought this way about this movie.

Avatar. No..>.< I was dragged to that and I was ****ing miserable the whole time. Talk about a really awful slow boring movie and the damn romance was ridiculous and it's the same as every other stupid movie. Only up side was one of the characters in that played Fischer in Bones.

Also, here comes the hate, I was really annoyed with GI Joe when it came out. I saw it on Fort Gordon during my AIT training and my battle buddies and I literally just sat their and ripped apart everything that was happening. Like who the **** chews bubble gum in battle. No...NO NO NO...I'm sure there is a ton more

Cast Away and Forrest Gump - both awful wastes. I like Tom Hanks, but blech.

Of late, One Night in Paris. So. Ungodly. Dull.

Also...Donnie Darko is also one of my favs.
The Descendants was also incredibly boring. (not a Clooney fan)

I can't believe no one mentioned hating Inception. I liked it, but I hear so many jokes about it.

Maybe I'm jusst really ****iing stupid but to this day, no matter how many times I watch Inception I get bored and walk away because I just can't follow it! Like..a dream within a dream or what the **** ever. The jokes are more enjoyable. I don't think I'm that slow, I figured out Memento just...this damn movie...maybe it's not that I'm not getting it maybe I'm just bored. I don't know, I'm never trying to force my way through it again though.

Also no one mentioned it, but can we just take a moment to hate on sequels and prequels? they're almost all ****ing terrible and yet some how they keep winning awards. It's ridiculous

'Pulp Fiction': saw it and couldn't figure out why so many people raved about it so I went to see it AGAIN (I do try to be open-minded) and still came to the same conclusion. Lame. Have seen several Tarantino flicks and feel that each one is worse than the last. The only one I liked was 'Natural Born Killers' and I think that was written by Tarantino but directed by Oliver Stone.

IMHO...Tarantino is overrated and uses gratuitous violence for shock value just to get people talking to drum up publicity. Ho hum, how dull. As a viewer, I don't care to be played like that.

Haha! I like most Tarantino stuff but I didn't like Natural Born Killers. I think that is mostly because I can't stand Juliette Lewis.

Hunger Games. I mean seriously what the fvck was that shid

I was momentarily distracted by your profile pic…

Anyways, in regards to The Hunger Games most of the people who don’t like the movie didn’t read the book. I read all 3 books in like 3 days in about 3 days…I love them. As for the movie…I enjoyed it; but I wouldn’t say it’s great.

As for movies that others have loved & I have been “meh” about:

Napoleon Dynamite (I laughed out loud once…the rest of the time I was trying to figure out why I continued watching)

Anything with Nicolas Cage in it…I just can’t stomach him.

The Hangover…I liked it; but it was nearly as funny as the hype made it seem like it’d be.

    Avatar…basically, TL;DR

WHY and HOW can people find it funny or entertaining?

You're just jealous because I've been chatting online with hot babes all day long.

    :D

    LMAO! Great come back!

    The Matrix

The first one was a masterpiece. The other two were so bad I was pissed off. I guess the fight scenes were pretty good so they made ok popcorn movies but the plots were horrible.

"People are probably going to hate me for this but Les Miserables. I've never seen the play, so I can't talk on what the differences are, but the movie itself was just so hyped like a year before it came out so I go in like "This is gonna be the best movie ever!" and come out like "What the heck did I just watch...two hours and forty minutes?! I want that time back." ".....

I agree that the movie was terrible although I am a HUGE fan of Hugh Jackman. Shame you didn't see the play I LOVED the play but absolutely hated the movie. And please would someone please get Barron Cohen out of here!!! Don't think he's funny and just down right annoying.

    The Kings Speech. AWFUL.

I haven't seen it, because the trailer made me want to punch the screen. not a good sign.
That is one of my all-time favorite movies. I liked it more than I thought I would.

ME TOO!!!! I loved this movie! We even bought it so I can see it again

    And ... Colin Firth!!!

I liked it, but I'm a writer and it inspired me. But then I watched it again after reading a Hemingway bio and the bad history kind of ruined it for me.

    Saving Private Ryan

    The Black Swan

My mom couldn't believe I hadn't seen Saving Private Ryan. I bought it at a used record store for 75 cents. Eventually I'll get around to watching it. You know, to get my money's worth. I agree about The Black Swan, it wasn't my thing.

I love Silver Linings Playbook. I've seen it three times!
