    :bigsmile: kevrit, I like the harder squat challenge, I just don't want to join the group to do it, so I'm going to post on this thread so I can be accountable.

    :smile: Jodios, I will post on this thread on Friday when I complete the 150 squats for day one of kevrit's new challenge...I'm not going to do the ladder because I already have enough going on (three hours or more of dog walking, four line dance classes a week, plank challenge, and a yard project that fills my remaining opportunities to be active)

    Finished 170!!!!---not easy........will try some exercises of the new challenge and try to repeat the one we just finished; don't think I could possibly do more squats with all the other activities at the gym. Rest day tomorrow and plan to continue to post here on squats/elephants and on the new thread for the bits I try there, OK?

    I've enjoyed this and the interaction with everyone else doing it. Thanks, ladies!

    Ok ladies! I am game with continuing on this thread. The ladder stuff was just to add more to the challenge. As I stated in the other post, only do what you can. The purpose of the thread, this one and the last one is to interact with each other, challenge each other, and be accountable. I am starting the squats challenge over my self but the easy one because of medical reasons. I am already doing the ladder and am up to rung 9, so will continue what I am doing.

    I really am enjoying this group and want to keep it going. I will come back tomorrow with my day one post. Move it on Ladies!! :bigsmile:

    on my rest day today, it felt very weird to walk the dogs in the morning and not do any squats

    I'm so glad the gang is sticking together!

    Today was suppose to be a rest day but I did an exercise DVD that had me doing a ton of squats and plies...I lost count after 150 and I was only half done! :laugh: :laugh: I think that what I might do is just start the hard challenge with you guys when you post it so I'm on the same timing. I've been doing a lot so I think I'm ready :noway:

    I ended up doing a kettle bell work out tonight.........it just didn't feel right to do nothing at all today. I'm thrilled we're sticking together on this too!

    :flowerforyou: a word about "rest" days
    I may take a rest day from squats but I walk my dogs for about three hours a day, go to line dance classes four times a week, and always log 18,000 steps or more (34,000 yesterday)

    Okay - stated the hard challenge (no idea what I just signed up for!!!)

    Day 1 :150 Done - 25 regular, 25 plies, 20 elevator, 25 right leg only, 25 left leg only, 20 curtsy, 10 pulse

    Today we played 9 holes of golf and pulled our clubs. Feel like I earned dessert tonight!

    Finished my 35 squats with weights today. Still quite depressed so didn't do much today. Did some clean up by throwing stuff out that I don't want to move and posted some stuff on Craigs list to sell. This thread has a bunch of great ladies! Stick together girls!!

    35 squats done earlier.............my dh is putting up a shed and I was helping; the triangle peice above the front doors slipped, fell and the edge hit me right across the forehead and knocked me down; then the 2 doors fell on top of me with him trying to get out to me.......not doing any more exercises today; maybe not tomorrow either...............knee is banged up, sore, scraped......forehead bumpy and bad headache.............BUT.........hips are intact!!!!
