I'm in pretty good shape for an old coot, a firefighter/alpha male type, and am one of a handful of males in a mostly female workforce at a rehab facility. Many of these ladies are nurses, and are quite 'direct'. We all flirt and have fun, but it's just that. It's harmless.
Once though, years ago at my cousin's wedding, an old acquaintance wanted me to take her out to the car for a 'workout'. I declined, but for months afterwards my wife, who had met her and shared an occupation asked why we didn't invite her to visit. I finally had to explain. That closed that window.0 -
I can never determine whether someone's flirting with me; it's like a language that I just don't understand. My standard response is suspicion.0

At least five. He hasn't returned any. I think I was too forward. Damn it. Oh well. Moving on...0 -
At my age, any bit of attention is flattering.0

No. It makes me really uncomfortable, partially because it only ever seems to happen in weird places for me. For example, at work (I should mention here that I'm a cashier), or as I'm walking out of Goodwill with my newly purchased records and am followed to my car. I could name more specific examples, but mostly they just make me feel gross.0

Maybe this is my problem. I don't know. Maybe I just don't see the signs, and people take it as encouragement?

Depends on the recipient and the art of nuance.

I'm betting you already have a graduate level education in it.0

I'm 40 something no need to flirt with me…but I will try if it gets me something0
-
Lol I like your style! I like it, confidence booster0

Who doesn't? As I get older I have noticed the flirting styles have changed. After 35 things became more "forward" on the ladies side.0

Depends on who's flirting with me0

yes if it is not creepy. I had a guy follow me around in the grocery store once and when he tried to talk to me I did not like it at all. A waiter flirted with me a couple weeks ago and I loved it. Even if he did it just to get a better tip it worked LOL

It's sooooo rare it's like asking me if I like unicorns. I've heard of it, but not sure I'd believe it if it happened0

Love it, but I have the type of personality where I jokingly flirt with basically everyone, so if anyone flirts back I generally assume it's in a friendly, joking manner. Gotten me into some odd situations....0

Yeah heheh you throw it thinking nothing of it then when someone bites it's like whoa.0
