@Radory - your numbers look great to me! 10 lbs in 5 weeks!

@catereed13 - I'm really sorry, that's so sad! I agree this community is here if you need support.

It's that time of the week again, Here is my update, hope everyone is having a good week:
    Start Weight (3 July): 175
    Goal Weight (14th Sept): 163

    3 July: 175
    7th July: 173
    14th July:170
    20nd July: 165
    27th July:168
    31st July:

Weight goal for this week: 2 pound
    Weight lost/gained this week: +3lb

Unsurprisingly I have gained this week. I had expected this what with my anniversary celebrations and trip to venice. I am back to normal as of today and will be cracking on with tracking and hope to at least lose 2lb so I am nearly back to normal. Hopefully it won't take me too long to shift it again.

Do something different, go for a walk, swim or just dance. Its all good as long as you get moving.

    Start Weight (July 7, 2015): 164.7lb 32.2% Body Fat
    Goal Weight (September 29, 2015): 150lb
    Difference: 14.7lb

    July 14: 160.2lb 31.4% Body Fat
    July 21: 160.4lb 31.4% Body Fat
    July 28: 160.1lb 31.4% Body Fat

Weight lost/gained this week: -0.3lbs and -0.0% Body Fat
Total Weigh Lost/Gained: -4.6lbs and -0.8% Body Fat

Not as good as I would like, but at least the scale is moving in the right direction. I've increased my exercise quite a bit. I'm trying to get back into running again. So far so good, at least my mood seems to be improving even if the numbers aren't yet. One step at a time.

Any tips on getting the body fat % to drop?

Any tips on getting the body fat % to drop?

First off: Very COOL profile pic! :)

Okay, I'm no fitness expert, but I have heard more than one "expert" simplify things by saying, "If you want more muscle, look at your exercise. If you want less fat, look at your diet."

Everyone seems to have their own opinion on these things, but many believe that the best way to build muscle is to do weight-bearing exercises and movements that require explosive bursts of energy (jumping, sprints, burpees, HIIT, etc.) Long cardio sessions are no longer viewed as the best way to burn fat. (But personally, I say that if you enjoy long cardio, do it, because exercise should be fun.)

On the food side of the equation, again, everyone has their opinion, and the real trick is to find what works for YOU and you find sustainable. Many people find that reducing carbs, especially sugars and refined carbs helps them achieve their goals. Eat lots of whole foods, plenty of protein & healthy fats. Cut the junk and don't over-eat fruit, because of the natural sugars.

Lastly, do NOT trust My Fitness Pal's numbers for calorie burns if you are logging exercise. Their estimates are just that -- ESTIMATES. Personally, I can not eat as many calories as MFP says I can and still lose weight. Again, you will have to experiment and find what works for you and your body.

    Good luck!

    Amanda, 30, 5'6"
    Goal: 130 pounds
    July 7: 151.6
    July 14: 149.4 (-2.2)
    July 21: 149.8 (+0.4) Carbapalooza
July 28: 147.8 (-2.0) Lots of gym time.
    Total: 3.8 pounds lost
Did good work this week! I found that saving lifting for the days I have off (Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday) makes me more successful. I only have to fit in one other training day on a work day, Wednesday or Thursday. Completed first week of C210K and got 30 minutes of rowing in, too. Diet is still a weak point but was 60% good. I think the cardio made up for most of the naughtiness.
Aiming to lose 2.8 pounds to hit my mini goal. Hahaha, ok but seriously, I'd be stoked to see a 145-point-anything on the scale.

I am staying on task with my stopping eating early and staying lower on my calories. I am seeing changes in the mirror more than on the scale and I am AOK with that!!!
