July's MTD Total is 31 miles.

I was up early today, two loads of laundry up and down the stairs, then grocery store while clothes were in the dryer. Finally! Finally went for a pedicure, which made my feet happy :p
Then a quick walk around the farmers market and stopped for breakfast before heading home to clean the kitchen. And last but not least a 3 mile walk.

Now it's time for me to flop on the couch and watch movies. My pick for tonight is old Harrison Ford movies.

    Still here, honest!!!

Having had a lazy well my plans for a swim followed by dancing were scuppered by a friend suggesting a ride. The route was.. Interesting. I've mentioned cows, fields, wild birds, rivers and all the good stuff before. This was different. This took you through the sorry of neighbourhood where stopping too long gets your wheels nicked. The sort of place where the off-licence (, for my American readers 'liquor store') has reinforced glass stopping customers helping themselves, and where ninety percent of the adult population would benefit from MFP. It was an interesting ride!!!

    Totals now
    Cycling - 55/80 miles
    Walking - 15/50 miles
    Swim - 16/100 laps
    Stronglifts 5X5 - 0/6 times
Lindy Hop class - 0/4 times

    Total mileage - 70/130 miles

Off to the folks this weekend so limited miles for me.

Glad all turned out ok!! Had one of them, was on a business trip so I took my bike. After the days meeting I jumped on the bike and headed to the local bike trail. About 15 miles I came to a little town and I could see a convience store down the street about 8 block or so. I swung off the trail to use the restroom and grab a poweraid. About 2 blocks in I noticed I was out numbered by color about 30 to one. I thought it will get better by the store and kept going. When I got to the gas station I noticed the attendent was behind a glass wall with a hand hole to take money. I turned around and went out to my unlocked bike. I think a becon went out of White boy on bike with wallet.... I felt like I was my own parade they were coming to the side walk from everywhere. I would just pray the light would stay green. I even looked and no one was coming and I went through a red light. When I got back one of the locals said where did you go?? I said Trotwood lol.. He said you didn't get off the trail did you? Yea I did, he says and you made it back alive?? There's about 1 or 2 whites shot there a week?? I am much more aware on my surroundings now in unfamiliar territory.

    Good cycling!

Over a few cold beers and then an adventurous bike ride, I'm game, but jesiann you have to come too lol

@ girlinahat- I rode a trail with a brewery right next to it. so many come in there for a beer then made a plastic bottle that fits into bottle cage on bikes with there logo. It holds 2 pints, it's awesome! On Saturdays you get a refill for $4.00

Well last week ended up being a light week in intensity. I added up my total exercise minutes and was super surprised, 317 minutes over 4 days. It sure didn't feel like I did that much! Gonna notch my intensity back up this week. Here we go!

@SteveCro Next time your in Evansville, check out some of the more rural roads north of town. I like to follow the Evansville Bicycle Club's Great Pumpkin Metric 25k/50k route (includes ~1,400 ft of climb on the 50k); and am working up to tackling the 100k. There are plenty of other side roads to take off of these routes too.

@SteveCro, I'm in! That would be an evening to remember. I could be the DD! :) I love the mountains too. Don't get to them very often so it makes the occasion that much better. My guys will be in the Missouri hills next week. There are some beautiful places up there.

I want, no, NEED a beer-related bike bottle!!! lol.

You know the early Tour de France races were all fuelled on beer don't you? They used to ride through villages, grab a beer, stick another in their back pocket and then good to go. Now they've discovered EPO and other such stuff the whole beer-as-fuel thing seems to have gone out of the window!!

Still a miserable showing from me I'm afraid. After such a good June, July is just not happening. The bike has gone in for a service (yes I have a spare so THAT's no excuse) so no riding, but I DID manage a swim last night, despite the debacle that is the pool where they pull you out halfway through and get you to wait while they set up lanes somewhere else in the pool.

Thanks! I will have to try some of North roads. The Trail is pretty short, senic but short. I rode it 2 and a half times, gets kinda of redundant. My youngest daughter lives in Evansville now. You from there or visit too? When she was at USI I rode down Boehne Camp Road to another street can't remember but some pretty big hills there.
