Way too go homemade mama! There is nothing homemade about THAT! lol.... :)

I am actually running behind a bit. Several factors with so much running (husband trying too retire end of year..load of running and paperwork) and his sister has been in hosp for weeks and several days here and there extreme heat. HOWEVER I am doing as much as I can and the extra Exercise Bike ride helps when I just can't get out. Today temps are too reach 96F with a heat index of 105! Girls and I were out the door at 6:45 a.m. They walked with me for 2 miles. I dropped them off here at home and continued on another 1.5 Miles....
Total miles walking today 3.5... I will log progress for whole day late evening...

I'm in Tasmania ... and we had quite a heavy snowfall last weekend. Not right where we live because we're pretty much at the beach, but up in the hills.

It's the middle of winter ... and it's a cold one this year.

I actually wasn't all that excited about it. I used to ride right through the winter when I lived in Manitoba, and got used to reading the conditions quite well. If it was slushy + windy that meant the roads would be really icy and I wouldn't ride.

So here on Sunday it was slushy + windy ... and I was apprehensive. But the roads weren't too bad. I think, perhaps, they were better than I thought they would be because the snow had only just started a couple hours earlier and hadn't had time to chill the pavement yet.

Month almost over and I'm at half what I set as my goal. So for next month I will take July total and add 10 or 20 miles...I know 100 was aggressive but I wanted to try! I'll work to get 4 more miles in next 2 days

    Anyway, 7/27 3 miles 7/28 3 miles

MTD for July is 46 miles.

    Missing in action......

Am spending all day curled up on some stone stairs carrying out repairs. It's backbreaking work just because you're uncomfortable all day. And then too tired to go for a walk sadly, but given that there don't seem to be any footpaths on this peninsular (never seen an OS mail like it!!!) There's not a lot to do!!!

Way to go everyone else for hitting our nearly hitting your goals. @Machka9 that DOES look fun. I went snowshoeing in Manitoba visiting my sister, who uses all the traditional style of shoe (!) And it was fun but oh you get so hot!!??

Will work out my feeble totals for the week. I'm starting august with a weekend walking in Exmoor so next month is bound to be better!!!

a bit late with my report but here goes:

    Totals
Cycling - 69/80 miles - final ride of the month was a failed ride to the reservoir.
Walking - 25.5/50 miles - sadly no walking done around Strangford Lough. Gorgeous scenery though it was, just too tired.
    Swim - 40/100 laps
    Stronglifts 5X5 - 0/6 times
Lindy Hop class - 1/4 times

    Total mileage - 94/130 miles

way way off target but all the more determination to make August a MOVE month!!!
