1461351h0otf8hco5.gif I have been tracking my walking for years. I have an Omron pedometer that I put in my pocket in the morning before I walk the dogs and transfer into whatever I wear all day and take it out of my pocket at the end of the day.

:'( I injured something in my hip that has me ;under the chiropractor's care so my walking will be much less that usual for awhile.

:) Beecky, thanks for starting this challenge

Would love to join you. Working on increasing distance. Doing 1.5 miles most days with 2 miles on the weekends. Working on getting to 3.

Great way to ease into it - you will soon be doing double the mileage :#

I've set a goal of 60km walking in September. (this is for "recorded walks" ie. not my daily total as measured by my Fitbit but the distance I walk when I actually mindfully go for a walk rather than just random stepping). I'm excited for September.

This is continued from previous Walking Challenges, but it’s nice when each month has its own thread.

*** Anyone can join in at any time. The more the merrier, let’s keep each other motivated****

Walking seems like the easiest way to start getting exercise, and even if you can't track distance (or don't want to), tracking time is good too...go for a 10 min walk after dinner, or up it to 30 minutes, you'll be amazed at the end of the month how much more exercise your getting in. :)

Check in everyday with how far you walked or how long, this is just to motivate us to get in at least some exercise every day, and keep an eye on each other.

Welcome everyone!! Great start for September! Please don't worry if you set a goal and do not meet it for any reason. Just keep moving as much as you can, try not to injure your body and limbs - something I'm good at :o , and be proud of any distance you do - it all adds up! B):#;)
