Hi everyone again . Here's to September! It's finally spring, so hopefully I'll be able to get out and about more often again.
I am making an effort to do stairs 5 days a week now, so I'll be tracking them as time, but not distance. And I must say, it has already made a difference. We had seats for the Symphony as high as you could go in our concert hall last Friday, and I had no trouble at all getting up there.
As for goals, I really want to do more than I did in August. Hopefully longer daylight hours and potentially warmer weather will allow me to do that.

Steve you MUST be retired? Otherwise how in the world do you find time too do those really long mile days I might ask?
@ jeanniewes- No I am not retired, work 40 hrs a week. I work 6am to 2:30 pm so give me alot of afternoon time. Also it doesn't get dark until about 9:45 pm but that's changing fast. Down to about 8:15 now. At least the mowing will slow down so maybe I can keep it up.0 -

I admire your dedication Steve! That's for sure. My husband and I have Bikes. He is retiring end of the year. I am in hopes WE can do some regular Bike riding next Spring. I will still walk as much as possible through out the Winter. I hate when it gets Dark early! I love having more outside time. I also do not mind mowing. When the leaves fall I will have too migrate from using the Push mower too the riding one as we have so many leaves only the Large mower can handle those. I love digging in the dirt, planting, etc. I will miss that...
Today we have errands in the Big City. I will get some sort of walking there. I hope too get in a fast walk (at mall) while Husband goes too a mandatory meeting.

Been a bit sickly for a few days, but back into the swing of the morning walks. Spent the day in London town so plenty of walking around today.
Beat my walking target for the month too!!!!! Shame the weather hasn't been right for a ride. This weekend is the last chance I'll get for a few weeks as every other weekend is booked up with birthdays and dancing courses.

So chuffed!! Finally made it for a swim, and pushed myself to do two lengths in a row (I'm not a strong swimmer), mostly to try and allay the fear of going when the pool is a 50 metre pool in the mornings. And I managed half a mile!!! It's a big thing for me.
Helps that the pool is mostly empty on a Friday night. Everyone else must've been down the pub gearing up for the first game of the rugby world cup. In retrospect that's where I should've gone, rather than looking for myself at home and ending up electrocuted by a household appliance!!! It's okay though - there was wine......,(and we won)0 -
