A fabulous couple of swing bands last night and lots of dancing gave me another 6 miles.... Tired this morning from a late night but the bike and me will have our moment today for sure.

As I see it you guys are all doing great. There are months we MAY not be able too do as much. The goal is too keep moving and I do see that in this group.....
I will not be able too log on for the next week or so. KEEP MOVING because that's what I'm going too do....IF I do not get a NEW THREAD/WALKING for Oct started by the last day of Sept then I WILL DO ONE FOR OCTOBER ON OCT 1ST and hope too see you there....

Wow @Machka9 - that sand must be tough to ride through!!!!
Made I it out on the bike this afternoon, but didn't go far, just ten miles. On the way back got a little distracted, and had to sacrifice my water bottle to collect blackberries.
Considerable scratches all up my legs after I fell into a patch but the end goal is good!!!0 -

We have ridden on a few beaches, with bicycles with wider tires and at a time when the tide is going out so we can ride the packed sand near the water.
But this time we just took a little break from riding on the road to walk over to the beach.

Hi everyone again . Here's to September! It's finally spring, so hopefully I'll be able to get out and about more often again.
I am making an effort to do stairs 5 days a week now, so I'll be tracking them as time, but not distance. And I must say, it has already made a difference. We had seats for the Symphony as high as you could go in our concert hall last Friday, and I had no trouble at all getting up there.
As for goals, I really want to do more than I did in August. Hopefully longer daylight hours and potentially warmer weather will allow me to do that.

Saturday's ride ...
My husband and I cycled 42 km in an area we haven't cycled in a while. Just a few weeks ago, we cycled in the start/finish area, but this time, we headed another direction.
The ride was an interesting mix of flat and climbing with 311 metres of climbing. The main hill had a 16% grade, and the last time I tackled it, I struggled a lot. I was dying. So much so, we haven't returned to this route in about a year. But today it was OK. Sure I was in the granny, but I made it up without much in the way of huffing and puffing or back pain (thank goodness).
The weather was also perfect ... sunshine, not much wind, and 19C.
And just as we returned to the start area, we cycled through a suburb full of smells of spring flowers and BBQs.

I spent 5 hours prep, painting and clean up. So I didn't get a lot of walking in today. I still am ahead of my goal for the month

So I had a busy end of the week last week (ok I was at the pub three nights) so I didn't get my usual cycle home from work and so by the weekend I was feeling unmotivated to do anything. Likely as I was hungover from being at the pub three nights and so I've fell behind on my target.
95.1 miles / 150 mile target
I go on holiday Wednesday but it's a city break so plan on lots of exploration. I don't usually include steps in my mile counting but taking my pedometer so I will on this occasion.
Setting myself this target I never thought it would be achievable and now im wanting to get there. Amazing to think this time last year I struggled to cycle couple miles on am exercise bike0 -

MichelleIt does help to have support! I'm visiting my MnL she's 90 so I help her do things around the house and take her to get her hair done. Girls night!
Not a lot of steps though! I got up early and lifted my weights. Then 3 hours of driving!

I am back. My mom is in the Hospital and they are having a difficult time finding what is wrong. We came home from a 2 day camping trip. The next few days will be difficult....

I didn't get much walking in because I helped my MnL clean all morning. Then had a 3 hour drive home. We had unexpected company so we walked the trail into town for supper. We live in a resort town.
