    Sep 2 - 30.81km (brilliant Ponggol route)
    Sep 3 - monsoon rain, no chance
    Sep 4 - 22.18km
    Sep 5 - 39.26km
    Sep 6 - 49.13km
    Sep 7 - haze back and psi 130 so no outside activity until it clears (thank you Indonesia)
    Sep 8 - 13.22 miserable km on the rollers in 33 degrees heat, 90% humidity and psi 132

    Goal: 6 spin classes in the month and as much outdoor biking as I can manage

    Previous totals: 1 spin class, 3 short rides totaling 7.4 miles

    Since 9/3:
    • 1 spin class
    • 1 family ride of 8 miles @ kid pace (8.7 mph)
    • 1 errands ride of 4.4 miles @ 11.9 mph (half of the ride with 20 pounds of groceries on the bike)

    Still nursing my calf back from its injury so it's been a slow riding month so far.

    Thanks. I was thinking about it last night and with the darkness coming earlier and the cold I was hoping to hit 1500 by the end of the year.

    And every ride it gets easier. For me, riding also gives me time to clear my head, so riding solo is a big plus.

    Generally, I get to ride outside twice a week and spend the rest of the days on a stationary bike. I'm going to aim for a total of 250 miles and see what happens.

    So far for September:

    Thanks @saphin -- I went for a 6 mile ride last night and ti was the first ride without any pain whatsoever. I decided to ride to work today and I didn't have one issue during the 10 mile ride -- I think its coming around.
    I wasn't stretching at all over the past few months and I think that was a big factor in the injury starting. It wasn't until I started to stretch my legs out that I realized how stiff they had gotten.

    I recently started commutting to work by bike (10miles each way) so I'm shooting for 420 miles, or roughly 17.5 hours of biking this month! So far, I'm 30 miles in!

    I think I was over optimistic about my goal for this month and am going drop it to 300 miles. I will not be able to put in a hundred a week to reach the goal. I am feeling good these last few rides, hills still suck, but my average pace is getting better.

    9/1 - 9.3 miles
    9/3 - 16.3 miles
    9/5 - 23.7 miles
    9/7 - 27.2 miles
    9/9 - 21.9 miles

    Total 98.4 miles
    Goal 300 miles
    Remaining 201.6 miles

    Thanks! I was thinking Monday was the first since it was a holiday. I'm actually 110 miles into my goal of 420 miles this month!!
