@machka9, you really just don't slow down very often, do you?

Oh man, we had such a wet weekend. Remnants of the hurricane that battered Mexico. Those folks are in a bad way. :(

 No ... I like to be busy.

And that "free time" I spoke of is already filling up very quickly. Last night I cleaned my kitchen for the first time in a couple months. My husband has been helping out a lot so it wasn't a disaster at all, but it was nice to get in there and do some extra bits. And laundry ... I've only been doing the absolute necessities, so now I'm catching up on that. My husband and I each do our own laundry, so he's been fine, but I've been rummaging through baskets and bins and the back of the closet for things to wear.

Which brings up another thing ... I've lost another 9 kg since I started that course, and it has become increasingly difficult getting dressed in the morning because whatever I grab is usually way too big for me now. I've been cinching pants and skirts up with belts, and wearing bulky vests over stuff to hide the bagginess. Now, finally ... I can actually sort through all my clothes, pack away the ones that are too big, and find out what I've actually got and what I need.

Plus now ... I can walk, cycle and lift weights more!

Wow, @Machka9! You've lost 20 lbs!!! Girl, that is FABULOUS! Way to go!

    Thanks! :):) ... and that's 9 kg since mid-July. Since I started here mid-February, I've lost a total of 24 kg (53 lbs). :)

About mid-June I hit my first weight goal and thought I might stop, but then I decided to keep going and see if I could reach my long-distance cycling weight of a decade ago. I'm about 2-3 kg away from it now.

We're nearing the end of the month, so I thought I would share one of my walks with you. I do this walk, or a variation of it, at lunch once or twice or sometimes even three times a week ...

I walked along the waterfront, and turned to look back at Mt Wellington ...
    22330093778_75d90ef8e7_z.jpg

Then I walked out to the cenotaph where I knew I could get a good view of the first cruise ship of the season ...
    22330093038_ca240f0c54_z.jpg

While I was there, I figured I'd get a shot of the Tasman Bridge ...

And another shot of Hobart and Mt Wellington on my way back to work ...

    wow,,,,,,,,,,,just wow on the photos!

Thanks for all the encouragement and continued prayer. Things have been really busy here! On top of everything else we've had too have a new heating/ac unit placed in our home. Still some work left on that but at least the heat works. Thank GOD as it has turned a bit cool. Only 2.5 mile walk yesterday (Tuesday) Will update all that later.... :)

@machka9, really? Just wow... That is quite the view. I would be lying if i didn't admit to being just a wee bit green with envy.

@stevecro, I have definately slowed a bit. We've had quite a bit of rain as well and the treadmill just doesn't call to me like the outdoors do.

OK SWEET PEOPLE :) HERE IS YOUR LINK FOR NOVEMBER. I will be away a few days. Husband and I really need a few days away. This month has been challenging. As you know I lost my mom. We had too have a new Heating/ac unit put in. My riding mower (of which I mow up fall's leaves) broke. A ceiling fan fell out of the ceiling and this area has too be repaired. My husbands care was broken and had too be repaired. We decided too take a break before we completed the ceiling/fan problem. We need a few days away...We are not 'down' because we know these are part of life times. We all go thru things that we must pass thru. in our case WE SERVE AND AWESOME GOD and know that HE IS WITH US EVERY STEP OF THE WAY... :)

That being said YOU GUYS HANG IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!! You're ALL doing great!!!!! I do love Steves' avatar. I really like when people add photos and things that are important too them.....YOU GUYS ARE A GREAT GREAT LINE OF SUPPORT....I THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! :) Follow on thru October and then follow link below...

Hi All, I'm Anna. I don't usually go through the forums but for some reason this morning I decided to. I stumbled onto this one and just found the November link. I do some sort of exercise almost everyday, I like to mix it up so I don't get bored. I have been with myfitnesspal forever it seems. If some of you want to send me a friend request that would be great and I'm looking forward to becoming part of your journey in November.

can I just move straight into November? I don't wish to talk about October, I've looked at my stats and they are...not good.

Part of the issue I've realised is that I've had some nightmare project at work, and rather than relaxing by MOVING I'm making conscious decisions not to do the things that make me happy, such as walking, cycling, swimming and dancing.

That’s not right at all, self-sabotage never helped anyone. So if you’ll all just forget about me for a couple of days, I’ll be back bright and breezy and full of tales of moving more on November 1st.

Well hey there @girlinahat! We were wondering where you had gotten yourself off to. Sure, we'll give you a pass for the rest of the month. I'm sure we've all been there. See you in November!

And for those of us who recognize Daylight Savings Time, don't forget to 'fall back' on Sunday. An extra hour of snooze time! YAY!
