Date Miles MTD ------ ----- ----- Oct 03 6.0 6.0
It is cold and rainy in windswept New England, so it seems like the right time to inaugurate the Treadmill Season, the running alternative to the snow, dark, and cold! Still looking forward to outside running on the weekends or the odd work-at-home day.0 -
@Stoshew71 @kristinegift Thanks. I will check the carb loading / diabetes question with my nutritionist. I don't think I need to worry about that yet since I am not aim at running long distances, not yet at least
10/1 4.75 -- I would like to do 6+ miles in the coming days, so, am resting tomorrow!
10/2 rest day
10/3 6.51 -- first 10k, longest run (time), and farthest run (distance)

Welcome! This is a really great group!0 -

Just ran 5miles, 75 to go.
With that said, "GO DAWGS!".0 -
Haven't been able to get out yet this month but reading through this has me itching to go!! Maybe next week.
@melaniefave41 your running partner is beautiful. Mine is an ornery pain in the butt that I haven't taken since I've started back running because he's too fast for me!
He's the husky mix on the left, my beagle is to scatter brained for me to take running, and the lab is too old.
@Elise4270 I miss my tree frogs! They are great little pets0 -
Is anyone else just a little down or daunted when they see their Month To Date total just above zero? I feel it too, momentarily, but never fear, consistency wins, one run at a time.
For all those that are still to Hot and Humid - We had our first snow of the year - its not going to stay but it does give you that kick in the @xx to get your yard work completed.0 -
I'm in for 100mi/160km.0

I'm in! Hopefully I can do 80!0

Thank God for running groups! Would not have gone out this morning without people waiting on me! And wouldn't have run quite so far without other people to suffer alongside me. 49 degrees but felt like 44 with wind from 14-27 mph, and a slight drizzle the whole way. Hoping this wind goes away for my HM tomorrow! I can contend with chilly temps and hills, but wind really beats me down mentally. But a good social run to cap off a 51.2 mile week. Not too shabby!
24.2/220
Awesome job. Yeah, sorry for you guys on the east coast getting all that Joaquin weather. We just got a mist and a few wind gusts.
Groups are great. I have 3 groups throughout the week. Makes getting up at 4:30 worth it. LOL

And here I thought for sure I'd be ahead of you at day 3, but nope! Your 22 miler has you way ahead of me per usual! But it's awesome that you felt so good at twenty miles to keep going! And I'm jealous that you can do 22 miles with 300 feet elevation gain; mine are always in the 800 feet+ neighborhood.0 -
Only day 3 and so many posts to read! Love all the pet pics
I brought my first super awesome running watch, a polar m400, which was my mid-weight-loss-goal-reward. And I spent 2 hours playing with it yesterday!
2 miles yesterday to "test" the watch and a parkrun today with a PB of 28:08. I was stoked
I am meant to do an 8 mile tomorrow but I'm driving to cardiff and back, so it's either get up at 5:30am before I go or go on Tuesday.
I'm pretty new to longer runs (8 being my longest so far) but it's cool to do an 8 mile on tuesday and a 9 mile on the following sunday, right? I think my legs will be fine with it, although i will have to miss zumba

Hey, everyone's animals look so calm- mine are all so unruley! Good looking puppy dogs!0 -
DAY 3: 5 1/2miles
The best run I've had this month (lol l know its just started) 15 1/2 miles down. I'm still on my runners high!!!0 -
I was trying to post a picture of my cat, Athena, but every time I try to drag the photo over a little box appears in the bottom left corner of the webpage that says it's not allowed. I've never tried to post pictures before. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?0

10/3 -- 2.47mi -- super incredibly proud of myself! I completed week five day three of C25k. Anyone who knows what that is knows that I just did my first twenty min run non stop. It went great! At one point I thought I might die but obvi I didn't, lol.
The weather was in the 40s and it was drizzling but hey- way better than hot and humid.
Really looking forward to my next run but may push it to Tuesday to give my shins a rest. Also doing 30 day shred..

I'm slowly getting back into running. After injury, I've finally learned about the importance of stretching and rest. You guys are doing great!0 -

I see you ran out of routes and had to go in circles, eh? Awesome job. I am not sure I'd ever be able to run the long distances you're running, but, hey, that's okay too Seriously though, watching from here motivates me to no end!
And, @kristinegift your runs are amazing too. I can't believe you run twice in a day and keep going! Awesome!0 -
@kstar_lee Awesome work and congrats. I did that not too long ago--maybe 7 or 8 weeks ago-- and remember it well.0
