Sigh. Well, there is not a lot of progress to report this week. I had a couple of not-so-good days, but I am frankly still surprised. No worries! I am eating healthy, exercising, and enjoying life. It's not called "the last five pounds" for nothing!0 -

I've been doing a DVD called Body Beast. It's weight lifting. They all say you don't burn "many calories" lifting so I put in 98 calories for every workout, which are between 40-50 min long with breaks between sets. I've lost 2 pounds this week and have gone over my calories a few times by 100-200. I think I must be burning more than 98 calories on my workouts. It's making my before Thankagiving push much easier. My goal was 125 by Christmas. Maybe I'll try for GW of 120 by Christmas.0 -

I had a rough weekend. Out of town with the boyfriend meant eating out. There was wine! It was fun and I am back on track now. I am sure I gained but am determined not to get on the scale until Friday.
Food back in line as of NOW! There will be exercise today as well.

I just wish I had gotten smarter sooner in life.
We leave Friday for 12 days away so it will be challenging for sure. But at least I lost the last few before we leave.
Now to not go overboard and to get in some movement. We have to always be vigilant.

Finally out of the 130s as of today! Continuing to stay on track and not eat back any exercise calories. Hoping for another loss however small in the next week and then to maintain over Thanksgiving weekend. Great job to you Vicky! You made it! I'm impressed by your loss considering your age (no offense). My mom is a little older and she will say- "I'm too told to lose any weight." You have proven her wrong for sure.0 -

Congrats Vicki! Remember that maintenance is a range and you'll go up and down a few pounds in that range.
I now have 5.6 pounds to go to get to 120 and "the range". At 123# pounds does that mean I'm at the upper end of my range and am really at maintenance?? Hmmmmm. Maybe!

Happy late thanksgiving everyone! I did pretty well this holiday. Unlike most people holidays are usually not a huge challenge for me.... It's just the day to day life that's tough on me:)

Went up 2.5 pounds over Thanksgiving and long weekend away at B&B- wonderful food at breakfast and then eating out for lunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday- hopefully it will be temporary water/food retention and back on it this week!
Lunch is provided today for teachers so I'm avoiding the break room, then there's a carry in next Friday with lots of Christmas dessert type things- trying to avoid both! If I'm not careful I could put on 2-3 more pounds by the end of December!0 -
