He will, just keep working at it. Remember, if u don't want him doing something as an adult dog, DONT let him do it now

I don't know about the state you live in; but, in GA they will renew your license by just writing them about its upcoming expiration date. I went with a friend when she went to get her license changed over to her 'new' married name; and I asked the guy if I could have a new picture on mine. My hair had been cut really short and it was gray instead of 'mousy brown'. He told me only if it had been destroyed or lost - I took the license out and asked if he looked at my picture and then at me, would he think we were the same person? He looked at me and said, 'well, probably not'. When he said that I snapped it in two. He then said, 'you're a quick study'... get in line'. I did not have to pay for it either. Now my picture is with me with longer hair; so I really want to have them take a new picture this next time; pretty much for the same reason. My hair is long again and my weight has changed fairly significantly, too after losing 33.5lbs. I have my boots on today and for once, my feet are warm.

I like doing pencil drawings; but, my favorite medium is oil; and then pastels. I learned how to do pencil drawings when my DOS said, ''Mom, you need to do a pencil drawing; because, only a 'real artist' can draw with them." Sort of 'pissed me off a little'; so, I took an online class and that Christmas I gave him a turkey done in pencil. He never remarked to me again about 'real artists'. He did not know that I could do it. Then 2014 - I gave him a picture of two turkeys by combining two different poses; and, on one I used a little colored pencil. That made it easier to chose a mat and frame; other than just gray and black or off-white. It looked really good with a blue inner mat; and a gray outer mat; and, a steel colored frame.

Had to give Cracker a bath this morning. I took my top off because she really fights being bathed; she is getting better and she loves being dried off with my hair dryer. She's not a stinky puppy anymore; and, I washed her bed and her crate liner and the bathroom rugs. She is calming down just a little; I found it was easier to run a little water in the tub with her shampoo and then wet her down; and, then use just a little shampoo on a rag; then I rinse her off with my watering can ... all in warm water. She isn't going to like being washed outside in the summer (probably). For the past few days she has gone outside and just run and run - especially when DOS's dogs are 'out'.

Got to send out my invitations for "Lunch Bunch" today; it'll be in 3 weeks. Get together with some of my old HS friends for this every 3 months.

Did not sleep well last night; and, then this AM DH told me that I had forgotten my nighttime meds. Dammit!!!!! He's going to either have to tell me to take it; or I will have to post anther sign by the coffee maker, I usually stay in a light sleep pattern and think about things that have not gone particularly well for me.

Watching one of my favorite shows: "Fixer Upper"; but, I think I have seen this one before.

Joyce - Your story from Jan. 3 really touched me. I'm am now openly crying at my desk at work. It is sad that it is now amazing that children do not need all kinds of toys and electronics to have fun; but I am so happy for your family that children were allowed to be children. That is a true blessing for them, and all of you. And the stories about the heroin addict and alcoholic - Praise, Hugs, and Prayers all around. I saw my ex through outpatient alcohol treatment, and all I heard was "he used to be so much fun, but now that you took away his beer, he is just so sad and boring". You are all so lucky to have positive attitudes and happy stories to tell. I am endlessly happy for you all. Thanks for the tears; they are supportive, happy tears for you. I know you posted this MANY pages ago, but I just had to tell you - Yay ! ! !

I'm back from the gym... Did a half hour on several weight machines and then a half hour of treadmill (15 mins warmup and 15 mins after weight machines). I've had the gym membership for over three years and benefitted greatly the first two years or so. I had a personal trainer in the past and learned how to use the machines correctly so I know that these muscles that are screaming are from lack of use and not injury!! But oh my ... Have I lost a lot of strength and ability! I purposely took it slow and light today ... Sheesh! I'm drinking my water.

My plan ... Because a goal without a plan is just a wish ... Is to use the gym's machines Tuesday's and Thursday's and to use my basement equipment on other days or when I can't get out. The basement, however, needs to look a lot more appealing though.

The gym is not convenient ... Nothing is around me ... About a 20 minute drive. So went grocery shopping afterwards. Much better shopping after a workout! Felt so righteous! Only good stuff went in the cart!

Karen NY ... Buffalo has not seen much snow. I'm "near Buffalo" ... About 19 miles south and nearer to "ski country." We've had a few snowfalls already, the last New Year's Eve where we got about a foot. That's still in the yard but will probably melt this weekend. Ski country is not happy by the way ... Very few resorts or trails open.

Janetr ... You have snotty Pom-poms? Aww... Feel better!

Jane ... Sorry you can't be near your MIL right now. So very frustrating I'm sure.

Today I feel good! The sun is shining. I worked out. Dinner is in the oven. I feel like I'm back on track!

I like that " My Plan.... Because a goal without a plan is just a wish!!" And you are so right ....."The basement, however, needs to look a lot more appealing though."

We finally have our basement much more appealing... The walls up finished - rooms have doors - bathroom is almost done just have to finish the shower. Flooring is down and TV and couches in place AND LOTS of room for my mini trampoline and to do my Leslie Sansone walking DVD's/ the gym is 20 mins away for me and not sure when I would do it unless I retired....

I am currently on a website called mysavings.com and they have at least 3 different options to get samples of tea. Free is my price range, in case anyone wants to give it a try. It's one more way to get or win stuff.

    Hi Ladies
Decided I had to jump ahead six pages to check in while I continue to try and catch up on reading. Wow! A lot of posts.
A little overwhelmed right now and CRS can't seem to locate Dec goals. I know that my main goal was to lose four? Pounds in December and I lost eight! Which brings my total since August 6 to a thirty pound loss! I am SO HAPPY about this and also about my NEW FRIENDSHIPS WITH YOU ALL! I also remember I was supposed to walk the dogs every day and I fell short there. Lastly, I had a checkup which went well. I finally got my blood work results back and am super happy about that too. Will post numbers later but all my cholesterol readings were pretty low coming in about 2/3 goal levels except the one that is supposed to be higher and it was by a third..so my ratio was 2.2? This comes after halving my chol meds in July so I am going to call him and ask if I can reduce or do it! Yay! Additionally my reunion w my son went well. Work is going well, though I still am dealing w arthritis. And I confessed fully to my best friend that I couldn't go through w the Feb trip to the Keys and she convinced me to go still on her tab! They had received a size able inheritance from my moms estate, while mine was the home itself and she feels life is short who knows if we will both even be here a year from now. I do feel a bit uncomfortable about this but she insists she has no one else to go with and doesn't want to wait. I have decided to just be thankful for the blessing of their generosity and go.
I have a lot of work to do in many areas of my life, but with my success with weight loss and with going back to work this fall I fell enthused and confident. It's been many many years since I could say that. I am jumping on the de cluttering wagon! Deciding wether to post a horrendous before pic of the first room I am going to tackle. I feel this would make me accountable and I know you ladies will give me the kick in the pants I need to get this issue resolved. Anyway, I love you all but must resume facing my kitchen disaster and try to catch up on reading posts. Katla I'm sorry about your wrist. Pip in case I don't post again for a bit. I am pulling for Winkle and would like to know how she is as soon as you know.
    Good night

Mindy - Good for you for accepting your friend's generosity. :flowerforyou: I would feel the same if I were her and I agree life's too short. B) I have a friend with no money and I find it very frustrating that she won't let me treat her. :'( Accepting help when we need it is very mature and wise.

Beth - Proud of you.

    Tired tonight. Hope I sleep.
My fish soup was heavenly. :D I'm right on target for calories today, which I was worried about earlier.
I did my holiday drawer declutter and will tackle my main wardrobe tomorrow. The hanging stuff is mainly ok, but the floor is a mess with shoes etc all in a pile. I've done a lot of laundry recently of stuff like bathmats and oven gloves that get missed.

    Love to all. Heather UK

Hi everyone, just read the posts on here. I look forward to reading them and enjoy your company.

Last night I went out for an hours walk and tonight my husband came with me, we were out for 90 minutes and we both really enjoyed it. We have talked more tonight just by being outside and looking at different locations. My husband loves local history and tonight he has wanted to see certain old properties so that he could do some research on his computer when we came home. I am trying to get out more to do more walking or go on my cross trainer, hopefully I will lose some weight.

    Wishing everyone well.

It's nice to do things with your mate. On the other hand, I have been known to watch military shows, (not really my thing) but I get wrapped up in the story, and having a nice time, spending time with him. He has been better going into Antique shops, a thing I love to do. He used to not even bother, said they smelled funny, but history has its own scents and textures. He is learning to not just appreciate history in books but in the tangible things. Good for us eh?

Becca - If you continue with the hacking and coughing you might check with your MD to put you on a steroid like Prednisone. My lung MD put me on one after I had spent 3 weeks coughing; but, not as bad as I usually do going the antibiotic and cough medicine. I was very surprised that one round of it took that irritating hacking cough away. If your MD won't Rx it for you, ask to be referred to a 'lung specialist'. He even told me that I had bronchitis and usually I will get pneumonia if I don't get treated aggressively. I took my pneumonia shot last year, I think and it was the first Christmas that I was not 'sick' the whole time.

I've not been exercising for the past 2 weeks; just chilling.

Don't have anything to say, really ... just reading the posts since the last time I was here.

Good news, my sinuses are draining. Ok not nothing to get excited about, but I know the end is in sight! Way too much info I know, but that is just me!
