Did my first meet last Saturday.

Ended up 9/9 and unofficially breaking the state of IL record for total for my age/weight division. Just waiting on updated database for results from the other meet on same day.

Left a lot of weight on bar because of rib tear and didn't slap on the belt but a couple lifts, so next one I should have much better results.

I don't know if I already posted this but here's me benching 225 for 8 reps from last year. My goal is to get at least 10 reps.

Good idea with the bands. I gotta start doing that. @DasItMan91

I heard if you use them for one month, you will notice a difference in your lifts. I might also buy bands with heavier tension (like 10-50 lbs)

That would be awesome! I have trouble right before lockout. I have the whole line up of EliteFTS bands except the 200lb+ resistance one.

I've never used bands. How iyo do they help? It sounds interesting.

They can improve muscle and bone strength and they can improve your balance, reduce joints pain, improve speed of movement and make your body more elastic. They also increase your strength.

Agreed - 9/9 is great. And an 1157 total kicks *puppy* - especially for your first meet.

Nice job @Chieflrg - I've only gone 9/9 once and have never set a record.

Also, I was at this meet completing my state ref test. You see the lady in the background right? Thats the state chair, Tonya Lambeth and her son Mac in the foreground who is on the national team. That green folder in her hands is the written portion of my state ref test. lol

Anyway, congrats on your first meet and a successful one at that. I got to see your last deadlift attempts and knew you had them.. the guys in your flight preceding weren't as lucky... they couldn't lock out and kept getting reds.

When do you find out your results?

At Penn State Uni gym. Pulled on a stiff bar, beltless with calibrated plates. 370 which moved decent. Then 480 on a trap bar. Loved the trap bar so much, I just ordered one on Amazon haha.

we have 3 at my gym- I pick it up like once every 6 months. I really should do it more often.

It might be my favorite piece of equipment now lol. I'm excited for farmers walks. Going to get my Double overhand grip strength to match my deadlift PR of 455 :D

I just bought the cap mega hex bar the other day and I really like it. my only issue with it is doing the much more complicated math for the 75lb bar. Gonna try a preworkout to get rid of the 5am brain fog.

Cool. I popped my tendon out of place on the 2nd attempt and had to finish with fingers only. I think my gf said she red lighted me on that particular one.

Depending on the size of the meet and where it sits in the cue awaiting National office verification, it can take up to a month.

As far as ref results, takes anywhere from a month to six weeks. When I did the USAPL Certificate, I knew as soon as I hit return on the test button. I passed.

I figured such, she seens like a good hawk and nice lady :).

Also possible she might of red'd for the lockout.

She might not got the info that I can't fully lockout(forgot to announce) on my legs because of the joint disease prevents me, but she did white me the other two so I just assumed it was the hand since it popped out on her side.
