You guys are awesome. I will say this thread makes me kind of sad though because I can barely do squats unweighted or with a few lbs. :/

Ok so this is nothing compared to all of you but I seriously proud of this (95kg weighing in at 77kg) and looking forward to attempting the 100kg in a couple of weeks (not sure how to embed a video so don't know if this will work)

Good job! Be sure to keep your back straight during the pull. It's quite rounded in that video and that can lead to injury as the weight gets heavier. Try doing hip hinge exercises. Google for hip hinge with a broomstick. This exercise will help you learn what it feels like to be in the correct position.

Everyone starts somewhere. Never feel bad about where you are or the work you do.

Don't ever compare yourself to others. There will always be someone better, stronger, and faster than you. Just be better than the person you were yesterday.

    That is so great. Congrats!
Seemed like the only people willing to post here were the people who were absolutely sure they heaved around massive, incomparable weights. Always good to know, and see, that everyone can work and set goals and meet them! Even regular folks like me!

I own the same bar and have had very similar results with it. plus its good for farmers walks and of course shrugs.

As a side note I ordered mine from jet.com got their first 3 orders with 15% off and free shipping. Only thing I have to complain about is that it looks like at some point along its journey from China it was drug along the road behind a truck for about 20 miles and there were some spots where the knurling was rubbed away but its on the top of the handles so it shouldn't ever effect any of my lifts.

    Ya. I LOVE farmers walks!!

Pretty sure it's on CAPS end. Mine is the same. Not many scuffs, just the knurling. It's fine though because mine are WAY aggressive!

I'm probably going to get some FATGRIPS to put on it too. And for Dumbbells.

Do videos have to be posted on YouTube first? I have a DL vid I'd like feedback on, but don't want to put it in YT.

I think most of us would consider ourselves to be intermediate lifters......? I know I am. There's tons of people out there lifting incomparable weights for me.
We all started out with the bar. Most of us have just been at it for a few years. And we still have goals to get better.

    this is 100% accurate.

But we welcome all here who want to share their work. The work is never wrong no matter how heavy it is for any one person.

Oh definitely! I'm pretty sure this is one of the best threads on here because all of the "regulars" are such great people.
The way that comment was phrased just kind of rubbed me the wrong way... it's not like we're trying to shun people who aren't on that level. Maybe I interpreted it differently than it was intended, but yeah...
Everyone is welcome here. It's for PERSONAL bests! ☺️

Sometimes comments come off as passive aggressive "we aren't good enough to be here b/c we don't X"- and that's annoying because I don't think a single person here has ever implied that. So yes- it can.

Sometimes it's just "man I'm not worthy" and other times- it feels like more of a subtle petty jab. I hear you. 100%

Not my best form... but that's 100 kg or 220.5 lbs. New PR

Congrats on your new PR! That's more than I can hook grip.

220 double over hand is great!!

I am betting you have more in you with an alternate grip as well (something to consider- unless you're doing hook grip- which I can't tell)

Haven't been on in awhile but looks like everyone is kicking some serious *kitten*. I feel like I halted on 5/3/1 do to a lack of weekly volume. Does anyone know of another percentage based program with with movements being performed 2-3 times a week? I was told to check out juggernaut training but all I can find are Ebooks with zero depiction of the programs or information in them. Thanks any recommendations are appreciated!

Thank you. I'm very proud. Didn't start to deadlift until November 2016 so I'm extremely happy about this and I can't wait to do better.

I'm using double over hand and no hook grip. I thought that was only used with the snatch grip? Time thread and learn about grips I think.

    Thank you :D

Hook is considered top shelf by many if you can do it once weight is too heavy for double overhand.

    Really comes down to preference.

I try to hook but it creates havoc on my hand joints that are anot her story.
