Back in MN from honeymoon.
Fell short of goal this month. Did ride a tandem on vacation and we decided to buy one - they are a blast.
I'm at about 45 miles for the month after a balmy 55 degree couple hour ride yesterday.
Nice to be back in the saddle. Looking forward to March weather.0 -

February has fewer days to work with, and it looks like it will be a very busy month with events, travelling, and starting my next course at uni, so I'll aim for about 48 hours of exercise.
I did a 200 km randonnee on Jan 30th and haven't been back on my bicycle since. That's partly because I'm recovering and partly because I've been very busy since then. But I should commence riding again soon.

Yes, I'm still here!! But my husband and I have been away so I haven't been entering things. That's us in my avatar.
We went to the mainland, to Warrnambool, Victoria. When we lived in Victoria, we visited that area several times and like it, so we decided to take a few days and go back again.

Feb 20 - 46.9 km (148 min) cycling. Actually, it was a lot longer than 148 min, but I entered that to get a realistic calorie amount.
On this day, my husband and I accomplished one of the goals that has been on my list since we arrived in Tasmania. We cycled up kunanyi/Mt Wellington!!
We started in a location about 2 metres above sea level ... and cycled up and up and up until 24 km later, we reached the top at an elevation of 1271 metres (4170 feet).

Fell quite a bit short of my goal but looking back at this month I only got out on the road twice. The turbo sessions have been great though and yesterday I felt as strong on the bike as I've ever felt. There was a huge climb in the middle of the 80km that has nearly finished me previously but yesterday I got up it pretty ok. I'm hoping that March brings more settled weather here because it felt good being out yesterday. Looking forward to starting a new month!0 -

Slow end to a slow month. BUT, it's infinitely more miles than before I started cycling and before I kept biking through the winter.

Feb 29th - And now this must be what hell feels like. My blissful Saturday ride was apparently too fast and too much for my poor quads, which are screaming at me, and made a million time worse by a ride straight into a 25 mph headwind on the way to work. I gave up after 2 miles and got on the train for the rest of the way to work. Planning to bike home though. 9 miles.
On to March! If the good weather holds and we don't end up with another 3 feet of snow, maybe I can get 250 miles for the month or more. If I can start to take the long route to work, my daily totals double, making it so much easier to rack up the miles.

@UmmSqueaky Fellow Minnesotan here -- I feel your pain about today. I got one mile out when the front was picking up. I had a few glimpses of the 40mph gusts that were rolling through my area and decided to turn around. Fatbikes are great for many things but they are not terribly good with strong winds.0

I ride my bike weekly on Wednesdays 10-20 miles. I plan on riding in the Tour de Houston on March 20th 45 miles. I plan on riding consistently until then. The most miles I have is 54 miles.0

Hi! So new to cycling.. less than 100 miles under my belt (got my road bike in fall). Yet, I'm doing RAGBRAI in July And my boyfriend tells me it's probably the hilliest in a very long time. Looking for cycling friends, challenges, tips and encouragement! Is there a group?0
