Buy expensive shoes, they' said. It's worth the money, they said. It'll help with the pain, they said.

    They were wrong.

When you're having a bad day, think of the things that make you happy, those that love you and live to see your smile, the things that make you the amazing person you are.

    Never forget....
    You are loved
    You are amazing
    You deserve to be happy

Someone should create an app to pair you with a stranger to watch a TV series with you so you can talk about it with someone.

When I found out my toaster wasn't waterproof, I was shocked.

Were you trying to eat toast in the bathtub?

I think I'm near my breaking point at work. The work load is so heavy, and the projects so complex, and my resource is so not competent, but not enough time to train anyone new...

So many meetings, so many to dos, and I'm sick. I feel like I'm ready to cave.

I need to work OT, but I'm fried. I don't have enough energy to do this all.

    But... I'll keep pushing forward.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

The challenge is to try and eat 10, with no utensils... And no teeth! Haha

Sometimes all it takes is a smile or a hug from a loved one to make your day better when you're sick, stressed, tired, worn out, or just having a bad day. Never underestimate how much you can impact someone's day.

    Dear life,

When I asked if my day could get worse, it was a rhetorical question, not a challenge."

That's not just an arbitrary number.

    About 700 pounds.
Compared to beavers, groundhogs/woodchucks are not adept at moving timber, although some will chew wood. (At Cornell, woodchucks that gnaw their wooden nest boxes are given scraps of 2-by-4 lumber.) A wildlife biologist once measured the inside volume of a typical woodchuck burrow and estimated that -- if wood filled the hole instead of dirt -- the industrious animal would have chucked about 700 pounds' worth.
