That place is absolutely freaking disgusting I would rather go to a Chinese buffet and pig out on crab legs. And really people can't make a hamburger themselves these days

What, you don't make your own crab legs? Slack.

This^^. And I think Chinese buffets are vile.

Agreed. Not only for the potential kitchen practices, but the fact that a bevvy of other people got to breathe and get their grubby mitts all over the food first.

While McD's might not be the paragon of fine dining, in my experience most (not saying all, there are some shoddy operators out there) actually do stick to the strict hygiene and cleaning protocols set by head office.

You're just missing out on the opportunity to give your immune system training. It could use it since virtually everyone has parasites like worms in them.

McDonald's is the devil's work. Wendy's is much better. They have Frostys . . . and Triples.
    I cannot stand their fries.

Their fries or What a Burgers fries really

McDonald's fries were the best back when they used beef fat to fry them in. Now they toss the fries in some chemical that imitates the beef flavoring at the time they cut and freeze them, then fry them in vegetable fat. They needed to make the change because the saturated fat content was too high.

What's wrong with McD's? I got me a shamrock shake there yesterday as a reward for smashing my 8K PR by 5 minutes.

Nothing, assuming you log whatever you eat there and fit it into your target numbers. Otherwise it is just a personal opinion regarding taste and choice options.

For awhile I would see Baskin Robbins ice cream cake ads and there isn't a Baskin Robbins where I live. Today it is shoes, living with lung cancer and some casino. I think ads are amusing.
I eat at McDonald's sometimes. I look at the nutrition info online and make a choice that fits my goals. I only eat out once a week so it isn't like seeing an ad for a restaurant really sways me into some mind of unhealthy behavior.

Not sure about anywhere else, but UK McDonald's do a passable coffee.

They do here, too. And only $1. The brewed coffee is a great classic taste. Their McCafe stuff? Not so good.

Same here in the states... McD's coffee is actually quite good, when taking the price into account. It's not sumatra beans, but it's pretty good for $1.

Advertising McDonald sandwiches on MyFitnessPal!?!?!? REALLY!

what is wrong with mcdonalds...it has fat, proteins, and carbs...sub out the fries and you have a pretty decent meal when in a pinch...

Sub out McDonalds fries?!?! Thats sacrilegious!

Unless I order them with no salt I find they are too salty. No surprise as often 2 or 3 people will walk by a put salt on them. No salt means they have to put a new batch in the fryer for me. I usually don't want to wait so I go for a side garden salad and that works well for me.

    mcmuffins all day

They just started all day McMuffins in Australia. I'm annoyed. All I want is to be able to get a cheeseburger before 10:30am. Is that too much to ask???

ME TOO! I dont give a hoot about their all day breakfast....gimmie the lunch/dinner menu at 8am!

Though, did you see they have Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurries??

How did I not know this was a thing?

It's only in Australia, I think. So if @Alatariel75 wants some visitors...

Anyway, OP, I just had McDonalds on Tuesday. Quarter pounder=520 or so calories. No fries. If I don't have enough room, then I get a McChicken.

They are in Canada, at least in Ontario. Very tempting for me as are the Shamrock Shakes. Difficult to fit in although if Monday is nice I will try to get out for an hour or so of cycling and then I will have some extra calories.

Same in Aus. All the coffee drinkers I know rave about McDonalds coffee.

At least getting the fries fresh ensures that they'll be hot.

It's like 3.5 hours for me to drive to Windsor, don't tempt me

I love it made in my French press. I don't care for it in my auto drip, though. Haven't found the right grind/amount ratio for it yet.
