The psychotic break my brain once had where I apparently could not hold back from eating 6 cupcakes and 2 bowls of pralines and cream ice cream. I then threw up. I'm lucky I didn't go into sugar coma. lol.0

I have never really been a binge eater, generally speaking.
When I was in high school, my parents were out of town and for dinner I ate at least 4-5 chocolate bars "Bar None" I think they were called...I was trying to save up points for some prize in a contest and could not stop eating them...and an Arby's roast beef sub with mayo and curly fries.
Another time when I'd been dieting WAY too strictly, I ate 1/2 package of Chips Ahoy and about 4 cups of milk. The next day I ate the other 1/2 package, also with milk. During those days I ate very little else...maybe like a slice of lunch meat and a nonfat yogurt.
These are really the only times I can remember eating crazily. For me crazy was more like a dish with cream based pasta sauce at Olive Garden AND tiramisu after. Horrible eating, but not "true" binge eating.0 -
I will post this every time I see a thread like this...
Breakfast like 3 Weeks ago...
I would really like to come round to yours for breakfast one day!
Is that meat on a stick?? We just dont get meat on a stick in the UK lol.
On the topic of serious binges, I have no idea as my mind has blocked them out... No seriously it was just mindless eating, dont think I ever even tasted anything!
That, my British friend, is a corn dog. A corn dog is a frankfurter dipped in a cornmeal based batter, and deep fried. Most people hear about this and think it's pretty disgusting, but let me tell you, corn dogs are INCREDIBLE. They're also incredibly bad for you. But today is our Independence Day, and so I think I might have one. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!0 -
Ever?? Unknown. A common breakfast binge (I haven't done in a year).. is a loaf of bread (1680 calories), 1 stick of butter (814), 8 eggs (560 calories), and 1/2 cup syrup (420). Grand total 3,474 calories for breakfast. I would make an entire loaf of bread into French Toast, lather in butter and drizzle some syrup over top. It crazy I never hit 180#. My normal binges are for dinner though... stuffed on mashed potatoes and gravy.. if there was any kind of poultry stuffing a ton of that too. I am a big binge eater.0

One day in the span of perhaps 4 hours
Lunch
Homemade - 2 Ingredient Cookies--Banana and Oatmeal, 1 cookie
Jamican Grilled Jerk Chicken (Full), 1 boneless breast
Ham and Cheese Croissant, 1 croissant
Pork Gyoza Dumplings, 3 pieces
Sweet Deep Fried Wrapped Banana With Jack Fruit, 1
Diet Coke, 355 ml can (cause I am watching my weight)
Manouche, 1 whole pizza
David's Tea - Detox,
Dinner ( 3 hours later)
Potato Chips , 100 g
Caesar Salad, 1 cup
New England Clam Chowder, 2 Cup
Total calories consumed that day, was double of what I normally would eat. I felt so bad that I did not eat anything the day after, nothing...just water all day.0 -

I friggin loved Barnone.0 -
The biggest binge I can think of was when I was in my early 20's. I had been left alone by myself and decided to raid the fridge and watch a movie. This is when my serious binging started. I couldn't decide what to eat, so I ate it all. This was consumed in under 2 hours:
1 frozen pizza
2 White Castle cheeseburgers
2 quiches
1 big size bag of chips
1 box of chocolates
1 hot dog
1 Lunchable
2 buttered breads
3 cans of Pepsi
3 glasses of milk0 -
Some people are misunderstanding the term "binge". Binging is medical disorder. One I suffer with. It is the mark of an ED. Having an outrageously large meal or simply feeling "guilty" for going over calories does not constitute a binge, just lack of good judgement. Their are neurological problems associated with an ED.
Just thought I'd say this. I see this a lot, and being someone with an ED, it can be a tad tiresome. I'm not mad or offended, but just saying because I do have some friends on here that understand what a true 'binge' is like. It is far more awful that just feeling bad that you over ate.
Actually bingeing is a SYMPTOM of the disorder, not the actual disorder. Many in this thread are using the term correctly.
Okay yes. This is my poor choice of wording. What I was trying to say is that people over exaggerate. "I binged on a bag of Doritos". No, that is just giving in. A binge is more uncontrolled. I have had people on my friends list say things like "I'm going to enjoy myself at [inset family event] and not care" then in their diary say the one high calorie slice of cheesecake is a binge. What??? That is more what I was getting at. People just automatically assume eating high calories or a "no-no food" is a binge, when it is more psychological than that.
Bing Dictionary Definition:
1. heavy drinking or eating session: a short period when somebody drinks or eats too much, especially a period of uncontrolled drinking or eating caused by a disorder such as alcoholism or bulimia
2. spree: a short period of time when something is done in an unrestrained way
3. eat too much: to eat far too much food very quickly, sometimes as a symptom of an eating disorder such as bulimia0 -
In one whole day my fat *kitten* managed to stop at three different fast food joints;
First stop Subway; footlong chicken roasted sub with three chocolate cookies
Second stop Burger King; a large whopper with small french fries, and a vanilla ice cream cone.
Third stop Taco Bell; two beef tacos, a chicken enchilada (huge), loaded potato griller AND a few churros.
^ I get like this right before my TOM, it's ****ing wild.
I've eaten 3 fast food meals in a day many times, on trips and sometimes just when I was working too much. I will admit that they were all smaller meals but I've still done it. Mine was more like sausage biscuit and iced coffee from McDonald's, footlong veggie sub for lunch, and a gigantic Chipotle burrito with chips for dinner. Still a bad idea!! hehe0 -
another meal, not so much a binge as much as a "why not!" moment.
1 plate at a local irish pub consisted of:
1 fried chicken breast
2 Belgium waffles
maple syrup, gravy and hot sauce dips
mashed potatoes
and for desert a deep fried mars bar amd 2 beers.
was so horrible calorie and nutrition wise,....but it taste so freaking good!0 -
A whole large takeaway pizza, a bottle of red wine, six pints of beer, a large portion of french fries.
I think people throw the word "binge" around too much. If its not over 3000 calories worth of food it's not a binge in my opinion, just crappy decisions.0 -
Not to wreak everyone's fun on this post, but to me this is almost 'food porn'. I don't want to think about my 'binges'. And from the comments of a few people, I feel like this is just setting up a few binges.
Just my personal feelings on this...
Carry on.0 -
My most resent memorable binge was several months ago. I ordered a double burger, chicken sandwich, 2 extra large fries, 2 extra large sodas, a kids chicken nugget meal, and medium ice cream shake. It's been 5 months but a few days ago I had one and a half king sized candy bars and I don't know why. Anyone have a good book or web page to recommend about eating disorders?0

This was when my blood sugar bottomed out and honestly I don't remember everything I ate so I'm saying what I REMEMBER eating.
1.) 1 bowl of lucky charms (I mean a big bowl...2 cups)
2.) 1/4 cup raisins
3.) 1/4 cup peanuts
4.) 4 TBSP peanut butter
5.) 4 TBSP nutella
6.) 2 hands full of Swedish Fish
Of course...my blood sugar went from "LO" to "375" in very short order...0 -
I haven't had a big binge in forever, but many, many years ago my dinner would be a small deep dish pizza and a pint of Baskin Robbins ice cream. I'd down it all without thinking twice. I also once went out to eat with a friend, and after a meal at one restaurant, we went immediately to have a meal at another. Can't even imagine doing those things now.0

Entire full sized box of sees chocolates. Eaten on the 10 minute drive home.0

Valentine's Day was ugly for me doing this exactly.
Biggest binge was probably a full size chicken strips with fries, gravy and texas toast from DQ for dinner with a brownie earthquake sundae for dessert and then eating half a large pizza at 10 o'clock that night.0
