    I would not let my mother live under my roof. I would assist her in finding a decent place to live, I'd even help her pay that rent but live in my home? Nope. Don't have that kind of relationship with the woman.

    no i wouldn't , shes your mom and has provided for you for years ( im assuming ) where she is on government assistance and has recently become a widow , she must be really going through a hard time right now ... i would think to myself what would my mom do for me in the situation , had the roles been reversed ?

    If it were my mom no. She's done a whooole bunch for me I couldnt bring myself to do that. I'd giver her a bill or 2 or ask to help with groceries. But it all depends on this person's relationship with their mom, everyone's different.
