    Good morning all~~

I'm staring at this screen, and I have no idea what to say.
This being alone all of the time is wearing me down.
It could be one of those days, but I cannot afford to go down any rabbit holes.

I'd better do some gratitude journalling and positive thinking, right?

    Good afternoon, just.

Walk Miss Lana it does a lot for you. That is a wonderful picture - is it near you? Make a goal to join groups, get out more etc. 2021 is a fair time to start... Write a letter to your inlaws? What can we do to help you?

    Someone on other side of the wall is drilling something and no it is not me making that noise - I thought something was falling until it kept happening;

Scale is not my friend but cookies are gifted out and there are a handful left.

    Good morning Sara -
Thank you for the encouragement. I did walk yesterday! I went to the Pumpkin Loop that my Meetup group usually walks on a Friday. It is a 2.5 mile, slightly hilly, gravel drive. It has never been easy for me to do, but yesterday, alone, it was extremely difficult. I had to stop many times, and I took a shortcut that shaves 1/4 mile off of it.

Something has changed with my body since October, and I get out of breath very easily while walking. Doctor + cardiologist can find nothing to attribute change to. I must lose this weight I've put on this year.

Depression and loneliness are definitely contributing factors. The loneliness is because I am accustomed to having a husband. From ages 23 to 61, I've always had a life partner. Now it's just me.

Yesterday's photo was just something from the internet; I wanted something different for the solstice. I'm in Chapel Hill, NC, which is far inland from the coast.

Sara - I hope you have peace and quiet and no drilling today!

Waves to all who stop my later on~~

    Good evening.

My scale is not so kind either but I did walk 6k today so that is something.

I have groups of people who do zoom meetings once a week or every other week, aarp has a list of social groups based on location - just something to consider. Okay not that you need husband #3 yet (or ever) but just because you are "just me" doesnt mean you have to stay that way. You have been lucky enough to have someone in your life for almost 40 years, many of us cant say that. Quit kicking yourself.

I am doing better at work so for now I can breathe a little easier, but as it is Monster - you never know.

Cookies are out of the house until I make my next batch - I will barter if anyone wants more.

Favorite carol right now is Dominic the Donkey (you tube) I heard it last week on the radio while making cookies and had never heard it before it is only 2 and 1/2 minutes but lots of fun.

    Good morning ☀️

Yesterday I managed to put together a homemade, therefore lower-salt, chicken dish for dinner. The concoction could have served 4 or 5 people, so I have future meals in the freezer. Big score.

I must walk today. See you later~~

    Good afternoon,

My new step goal is helping, I got almost 7k today. I walk at work while my food is in the microwave, it is about 500 steps but it all counts.

Lana - glad you have meals set up - mine are chicken burritos which I hope thaw out and reheat well. I hope you got your walk in as well.

    Good morning,

Slept in because I was up late (too much napping). Ordered a hand mixer online as people are asking for more cookies - I am bartering. My hand between computers/knitting and baking cannot make it, so one had to stop.

Lana- did you get a card in the mail? I hope I did that right.

Quiet day here walking/knitting and napping while watching Christmas episodes. Just nice to stop.

Wishing all wonderful holidays - stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning All~~

It is freezing cold here; sun is out, thank goodness. I don't know how the birds do it. I put warm water out there in their splash dish, which was frozen of course.

Sara - yes I did, thank you! I've been meaning to write back! My mind is often so scattered 😢

I have to get up at 6am tomorrow for the first time in 3 days -yuck.

I woke up this morning with all nice things in my head - and then I looked at my calendar on my phone and jumped out of bed: I forgot that a utility service person is coming sometime between 8AM and noon. Gah!

I hope y'all survive your Monday.

    Hello everyone!
I hope everyone's holidays were as good as they could be. I have not been signing on, have not been caring for myself, have not been into this healthy living thing AT ALL! I cannot say I had a bad holiday, my daughter was home from CO. Enjoyed her company immensely! Ate and drank lots.
Had my carpal tunnel fixed in the middle of December. That was a very simple procedure, but lost much of my ability to do much with my right hand. What a pain in the *kitten*. Better already, still some pain, but not too horrible.
Not much else new. I will face the scale music tomorrow and then move on.
Lana - You know this...but you do NOT need someone to make you happy. We will have to make ourselves happy to be truly happy. I cannot say I am at that point either in my life.... I am sorry you are in a sad patch. I hope it gets brighter for you soon.
Hello to Sara, Missy, Maureen, Melichalupa, Tracy, Dawn, Runa and all others.
Setting new years goals this week already. Me first - I think it is vital to love me first and figure out why I keep doing this to myself.
Have a great rest of the day!

    Good evening,

Lynn!! I am glad you got your carpal tunnel dealt with. It may be down the road for me as well. Glad you had your daughter for the holidays.

Like you the scale was NOT my friend today got 6k in steps because I had to and I drank more water (same reason).

Doing better at work - I must be possessed!!! Nothing like pissing off the Monster. We have 2 new people and while they are doing well, they have yet to hit the knarly stuff. Just glad we have new people.

My Christmas presents to myself were all about having a better/healthier kitchen. Not to put action to words.

Eye candy would be appreciated ... just saying

Wishing all a good night. Stay safe and sane out there.

    Good morning
POTM - pissing off the monster. I have one of those at work - luckily she is not my boss, supposed to be a "coworker" but not so much. POTM is going to get put down on my goal list
OK - my check in. Not been this high for quite some time. Hopefully the first part will come off now that I am back to my work and eating routine. Geesh.
I did buy the book and workbook for the Beck program. Last time I found that partial PDF, so I am going to hit that hard once I get it. Might declare some things here to make them real :)
Snow predicted here tonight. Can't shovel though due to wrist - darn it LOL.
    Have a great Tuesday.

    good afternoon,

Found out cafe at work will open next month (been closed since April) not sure how it will work but better food? I will find a way.

walking 6k of steps (2.7miles per google) and did it both days this week. scale is nicer.

POTM like that really do --

Lynn how is your dog? Cant the dog shovel snow??

Lana did you met your walking buddies? I walk while my food is microwaving and it makes a difference in my final #. Find out how many steps it takes around your pool...

Time for me to pass out and take a nice nap.

Hi Sara - I WISH my dog could shovel snow. That would be a great trick! No POTM today for me - she is off.
Welcome 12Sarah! Good group to ask questions to and vent!
    Good morning Lana!
Work is closed until the 4th. The little bit of a routine I got back into may go out the window, but I am stocked up with fresh veggies. one day at a time!

    WEDNESDAY DEC. 30TH

    Good morning all~~

Well I hit a new all time high this morning - gee, everything I ate and drank yesterday had both calories and the ability to cause bloating? 🤨

Lynn - You know I've always liked the Beck Book. I 'lost' my workbook; I think it is still in my roadbox in my theater from before I retired, but I do have the regular book and the workbook's little magic cards. 😉

    Good evening,

Airing out place smells of industrial cleaner and it wasnt done in my place!!! Will be colder in here tonight so we shall see.

Got over 5k today and walking /drinking more water and grazing less are my key to focus on. Yup I ate Christmas so it is telling me on the scale.

POTM came in the form of telling M that we categorize where services were rendered not where people are from and I had to fight her for it and I am wondering if she is losing her mind or quizzing me.... both are a little annoying.

Hot drinks to keep us warm and soft socks are on the order at the Cboys memo bulletin board.

    Good morning all~~

Sara - How old is Monster? Some people get really whacky before, during, and even after menopause. One lady in my NYC apartment building developed borderline personality disorder right around that 50-year mark. Who knows what demons Monster has raging in her head.
    Congrats on your three 6Ks!

Maybe I will have a nice glass of wine and find a series to binge

    good evening,

Another 6k which is nice to see.

Monster is 60 and she is just not a happy camper - age is probably not helping.

Third new person starts Monday and our trainer was unwilling to come to work this past week... We shall see what next weeks drama is. I am doing well but not outstanding - one of the new ladies is very fast and another is making mistakes (which is not unusual) I hope that keep Monsters brain extra busy.

Neighbors shoot their guns and set off fire works at midnight so I dont need an alarm set. Just glad it is a 3 day weekend as I intend to rest.

Here is hoping 2021 is a better year.
