@gemwolf110 I was glad to hear from you and sorry about your dog and busy schedule. It was good that you got to go on a trip with friends. @trooworld Too bad about the walking pad. I love chili, too, especially since the weather has become cooler. I tried the chili recipe in Skinnytaste Simple and it was good. Hi, all. I’m up a little earlier than usual so I’m going to start my exercise. I’ll do the bike again. This afternoon we are going to a brew pub to see our granddaughter perform with her group. We’ll eat dinner afterwards. Last night we ate at an Italian restaurant as DD and her family ate at the Mediterranean restaurant the previous night.

@fabgeekmom Yeah I was disappointed. I love chili, too, it's one of my favorite foods. Good to know about the Skinnytaste recipe. I hope you enjoyed your granddaughter's performance.

Hi all. We went Macy's Black Friday sale yesterday but I did not get anything: I didn't want to get stuff and then lose the weight and not be able to wear it. I could have gotten some things for after my surgery but chose not to as I don't have room in my side of the closet. We went to coffee afterward. I enjoyed the chili for dinner.

Morning all, this weekend was crazy, but I survived. LOL. Had to fight baby girl to go to school today. It's now like her, so just hoping it's not a cold coming on again. I didn't do well yesterday, birthday party for one of baby girls school friends..cake, pizza, oh yum it was good, but set the stage. LOL. She had fun and so did they and that's all that really matters.

@gemwolf110 so sorry about your pet. I think this time of year is crazy no matter what we normally have going on in our lives. LOL. glad to see you got away..good for you!

@fabgeekmom LOL sounds like you have been eating out for a few days...but that is always a nice break from our routines. Good choice to get the exercise in since your up early. I was going to try, but didn't get in bed until midnight...then got up and just could't..LOL

@trooworld Glad you had a quiet weekend. Probably good choice on the clothes. So sorry the walking pad fell through. but the right person will come along and you will be glad they can use it.

@cbabie Birthday parties are hard to resist! Pizza and cake, yum! But now you can get back to your program. I hope baby girl is not sick.

@trooworld It was good that you didn’t buy anything as you’ll be in a smaller size after surgery. Hi, all. Today was swim day. I went grocery shopping after lunch. Dinner was pork chops, wild rice and acorn squash. I followed a Skinnytaste recipe and brined the pork chops.

@cbabie I'm glad you survived your weekend lol. Hopefully baby girl is not getting sick again. Kids and sickness, it never ends, does it? lol I'm glad she had fun at the party. Thank you. I needed a quiet weekend. I sort of got it. I hope someone buys that walking pad. I don't want to give it away. Where's your sister? Is she hiding out or still traveling?

@fabgeekmom Yeah I agree. Good job with the swim! Yummy dinner.

Hi all. I got my CPAP machine and set it up as best as I could based on a video. I wore it for about 3 or 4 hours last night while sleeping but I don't think I had it set up right and couldn't breathe really well so I took it off. I have a video visit with a consultant from the company on Friday so hopefully, we can get it figured out.

@trooworld Hopefully the CPAP machine will work better after the consultation. Hi, all. The weather was warmer so I went for a walk after breakfast. I made Skinnytaste creamy mushroom soup for lunch to go with a sandwich. It was good and filling. Tonight I’m making Skinnytaste instant pot with spaghetti rings and beef. I’m making a few changes: I’m using turkey sausage and rotini. I got the idea from a FB group I follow.

@fabgeekmom I hope so, too. I'm glad the weather was warm for your walk. Good idea about the spaghetti rings, I hope it turned out well.

Hi all. I was so tired at work yesterday, I think the 5 or so years of poor sleep is catching up with me. I can't wait to see if the CPAP helps with my sleep. I need to get Thanksgiving groceries this weekend and I'm thinking I'll do grocery pickup from Walmart for part of them and go to Sam's Club for the rest. I really don't want to go into any of the stores but my husband is prioritizing his morning walking over getting groceries which is good for his health but bad for me. I can't bring the groceries in by myself so I have to do it when it is convenient for him, which means I'll probably end up going to both stores in the middle of the day on the weekend. I might get Walmart delivered.

@trooworld That’s too bad about your grocery conflict. I hope things work out. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. Dinner is last night’s leftovers. Last night’s dinner was good and easy to prepare.

@fabgeekmom Thank you. Good job with the swim. I'm glad you had an easy dinner.

Hi all. Now my husband says we can go to Sam's Club and Walmart in the morning on Saturday, which is a big relief for me.

@trooworld That’s good news about the shopping! Hi, all. It’s getting cold here but I think I can still go walking. DS bought the ingredients for omelets so that’s for breakfast. He also is making ATK chicken lemon orzo soup for lunch. I’m making chili for dinner.

@fabgeekmom Yes, I'm relieved. I ordered Walmart pick up for tomorrow morning and we'll go into Sam's Club for the rest. I hope it's not too cold to walk. The meals sound good.

Hi all. The surgeon's office called yesterday and offered me sooner surgery dates: Dec 10th or Dec 17th. I told them my original date worked best for me though. I wish I could have taken the earlier dates but it wouldn't work out with work + I'm not emotionally ready yet. I will be ready when I need to be but just not yet.

@trooworld I hope the shopping goes well. I can understand that you don’t want to push up your surgery. Hi, all. It’s cold today; actually it’s the coldest day so far. Luckily today is a swim day. Tonight is steak night.

I'm not even going to try and catch up. I've had a problem getting to the gym the past week. I've done some short burst of outside walking and once in a mall but that's it. So my goal this week is to get to the gym for some real exercise. Especially stretching. I'm having a problem with my hips again when I walk. So I'll be working on that too.

@fabgeekmom Thank you, me too! Too bad it's so cold. I hope you enjoyed your swim and steak night.

@theslightedgeforever Is there anything we can do to help you?

Hi all. I made a quiche for dinner last night, it was really good. I was supposed to make the crust but I just used a frozen pie crust. There is a lot going on today. I am getting groceries this morning, trying to get Comic-Con tickets, I have a Spanish lesson, and then I am going to a French restaurant with some coworkers to belatedly celebrate our birthdays (our birthdays were in Sept). It should be fun.

Morning all, well baby girl was sick again and baby boy has the terrible cough and runny nose again...UGH. I did get on my bike 2 times this week, went to therapy twice and yesterday was crazy. baby girl had a turkey trot at school and it was fun to watch her run. She was full on in to it. :)
I am glad school is out for a week though, so ready not to have to rush in the mornings. LOL

@trooworld Understand about you not wanting to reschedule...that would have made my anxiety go high...so glad you shopping worked out. I laughed at your itinerary today, Comic-Con, Spanish and French...you are so versatile. :)<3

@fabgeekmom I couldn't even think about swimming on a cold day. I know it's indoor, but my brain would say...no sweat in the gym. LOL Yum chilli, I may make that tonight, thanks for giving me the idea.

@theslightedgeforever Too bad about the hips. I hope the stretching helps. I do therapy exercises every morning for my hips. @trooworld The quiche sounds good. I hope you got the tickets. The French restaurant sounds like fun. @cbabie. With children someone is always sick. Having a week off will help. I always enjoyed seeing my children at school events. I’m glad you got on the bike. Hi, all. It was too cold and windy to walk so I got on my bike. We’re eating at the Mediterranean restaurant we wanted to go to last week.

@cbabie Oh gosh, the poor kids. Poor YOU too! I'm impressed that with everything going on, you still got on your bike! I bet that was cute to see baby girl and the other kids run. Yes, my anxiety was really high just thinking about rescheduling. It would have totally thrown me off. Hahahaha...I speak many languages (nerd via Comic-Con, literally speak Spanish, and the love language of French cuisine lol).

@fabgeekmom Thank you! Yes, the restaurant was fun. I'm glad you were able to get on your bike. I hope you enjoyed dinner.

Hi all. I was able to only get one day of Comic-Con: Sunday tickets, but it's better than nothing. After that, my husband and I went for coffee and read a bit. The French restaurant was really good: I had French onion soup and Beef Bourguignon. I regretted getting the Bourguignon because I can, and have, made excellent Bourguignon at home. I should have gotten the scallops! After dinner, we walked next door to what was rated as the #1 ice cream shop in the nation by USA Today, An's Dry Cleaning. It's actually gelato. It's called that because it's in the shop that used to hold a dry cleaning business so they just kept the name and made it a theme lol. They have really unusual flavors (olive oil and rosemary? It was delicious!) and they give you a sample of everything before you order (I ordered "Leather" and "Apron", fantastic!).

@trooworld The meal and gelato sounded really good. That was good to get tickets. Hi, all. It was warmer today so I went for a nice, long walk in the neighborhood. I actually got hot and had to take off my jacket. DS and I went grocery shopping and got ingredients for him to make vegetable soup. We’re going to my daughter’s house for dinner as DH is getting around without any trouble.

@fabgeekmom It was. Yes, I'm glad we got tickets. That's good that the weather was warmer and you could go for your walk. Yay for your DH being able to get out!

Hi all. I met my old boss at a museum yesterday for an exhibit on the art and science of indigo. It was very interesting to see how indigo dye was found everywhere in the world. There were beautiful textiles of all types. After that, we met my husband at a coffee shop and had a nice conversation. The weekend went by so quickly. I have to make a chocolate tart for my coworker's work anniversary tonight. I would have liked to make it yesterday but I couldn't find my tart pan and had to order another one. It's an involved recipe and I'm going to hate myself for agreeing to make it tonight lol.

@trooworld The museum exhibit sounded really interesting. The chocolate tart, I bet, will be delicious. The work part doesn’t sound like fun, but sometimes we do what we have to do. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. I had to get a few things at the grocery store for tomorrow’s meal. That was the third day in a row I have been grocery shopping. I hope that is it until the weekend. Tonight we are having burgers, French fries and green beans. Super easy.

@fabgeekmom It was. Good job with the swim! I hope you don't have to go back to the store. I need a lot of butter and I wanted to get more but my husband is convinced we have enough. We do NOT have enough, we will have to go to the store halfway through the cooking on Thursday! I'm glad you had an easy meal last night.

Hi all. I got home at about 5:30 last night and looked at the chocolate tart recipe. It was going to take 5 HOURS to make (including resting times etc)! I ditched that idea and made a quick chocolate chip cookie dough that I will bake this morning. Speaking of, I'd better go get them ready.

Morning all, I just got back from getting my blood taken..and on to the next appointment at 11:30. Therapy is going good. She found a tense spot on the back of my leg and told me it was VERY thick...she started massaging it...Oh my it hurt but felt good..LOL. So still improving.

@trooworld good for you in pivoting from making a 5 hour desert to something much quicker and easier. So glad you got tickets and enjoyed your weekend. Let us know if you run out of butter..LOL You crack me up with your descriptions of your languages. :)

@fabgeekmom happy you got to get out for a long walk. Those are always nice and relaxing. It is good news to hear that your DH is getting around with no trouble. I bet he is enjoying his independence. LOL
I love my bike, I think it was a good investment!! planning on getting on it after all my appointments today.

@trooworld 5 hours to make a dessert! No way! That was a good switch to make cookie dough. @cbabie I am glad therapy is going well. And the bike, too. Hi, all. I went on another long walk. It’s going to get colder soon so I took advantage of the warm weather. I have Skinnytaste beef stew in the crockpot. I made turkey meatballs to cook tomorrow in the crockpot. I’m eating healthy until Thursday and am looking forward to some treats.

@cbabie I hope the appointment went well. I'm glad therapy is going well. Hopefully the massage helped that spot. Yes, the cookies were much easier lol. I know I will run out of butter lol. :)

@fabgeekmom Yes, that was way too complicated. I don't know what I was thinking when I picked it out lol. I'm glad you got a nice walk in. That's good you are prepping healthy foods.

Hi all. Everyone enjoyed the cookies, so that was a good move. I'm working from home today and off the rest of the week. I have a lot of prep work to do, I may take a break here and there to cut up some veggies for tomorrow. We are making:
    - mashed potatoes
    - bread stuffing
    - broccoli-cauliflower casserole
    - cranberry sauce
    - spatchcocked turkey with gravy
    - Amish-style egg noodles
    - caramel turtle brownie pie + chantilly cream
And my inlaws are making food, too! There are only 4 of us lol. I may not get on here tomorrow, I don't know. If I don't, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

@trooworld That menu is awesome! The caramel-turtle pie sounds delicious! I can understand that you probably won’t post tomorrow. Hi, all. The beef stew was delicious yesterday. No leftovers except a little bit for DS to take to work. This afternoon I’m making Skinnytaste slow cooker turkey meatballs. I have to make bread to take to my cousin’s house tomorrow. We eat the same menu every year. I have to go grocery shopping today as I need garlic for the sauce for the meatballs. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

@fabgeekmom Thank you! I am actually here because I need some coffee before I start lol. I'm glad the beef stew was good. I hope the grocery store went well...we stopped at the grocery store last night for some lemons and it was such a mad house. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi all. I did no prep last night. DH spatchcocked the turkey and then dry-brined it so that is out of the way, we just need to roast it. I needed some coffee before starting on prep work. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
