@trooworld Your day sounded wonderful. It’s great that you can walk without pain. @its_cleo Your goals sound doable. Getting started is the first step. You can do this! @cbabie I’m sorry your day didn’t go as well as you wanted it to go. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. We’re eating leftovers tonight. I’m glad I don’t have to cook. Tomorrow morning DH is having his other eye surgery. We have to be at the surgery center at 6:30 AM which means we have to get up at least an hour prior as DH has to put eye drops in before going. DS is taking us.

@its_cleo I hope you had a good time off. Those are good goals. Thank you! It was a fun day. My knee: it is nice...I was really losing my mobility, which was super scary. It's nice to have the freedom to walk around as much as I want. Good luck with meal planning!
@cbabie Sorry Easter was just okay. I love ham but we didn't make any because my husband said it would make too much. I still wanted to make it and freeze the leftovers. Oh well. I hope your DH's headache is better today. I did have an adventurous day! It was an adventurous weekend lol. Oh no about your cabinets!
@fabgeekmom It was really nice. Good job with your swim. I had leftovers, too. I hope the surgery goes well.
Hi all. My new friend from the photo club texted me yesterday to ask if I wanted to get together to shoot again at the beach. So, we made plans to go next Monday. I will take the day off work, and we will shoot at the beach and have lunch somewhere. It should be fun. I got off early yesterday because I needed to run errands that I couldn't run this weekend. I didn't end up getting home until 5:30 pm. I had leftover broccoli salad. Tonight, I am making Grilled Halloumi Wraps. I'm trying to take better care of my skin…I have an anti-aging routine I got from the Budget Dermatologist (from YouTube) that uses drugstore products. I tried to do this routine last year, but gave up because sometimes I'm so tired that I don't have the energy to do the routine. I always wash my face, but don't apply products. Now, I'm trying again.

Morning all, I got my 30 min exercise in yesterday, ate pretty well and am going to try for day 2. LOL. My exercise had to be broken into parts as I could not find 30 min by itself to do them. LOL. I almost closed all 3 circles on my watch. I always get my stand circle just not the rest. I got 2 out of 3..so improvement.
Tonight I am going to ask DH to cook chicken on the grill, it's my favorite.
@trooworld I am glad you are taking off on Monday, that sounds like so much fun and relaxing!! As a Mary Kay person, I understand the routine and even me myself can't always do my night routine complete. I wish I had done better when I was younger..my dear sister got the good skin my grandma and dad had..me I got my moms alligator skin.
@fabgeekmom I hope and pray surgery goes well. I am not sure I could have my eye operated on. He is very brave. I am finicky. LOL Glad that you have your son there to help. We had left overs last night. I am glad I was too tired to cook. :)

@trooworld love halloumi. One of the best recipes I got from HF was a halloumi soup with sweet potato. I'm also terrible at skin care. I do wash my face, I'm trying to use moisturizer more.
@fabgeekmom I hope the surgery goes okay, sending good thoughts to you both.
@cbabie I've been doing the same thing, split my physio exercises.
I tracked yesterday and today, except today I made a spicy mayo to go with dinner (I tried to make a beef ban mi kind of thing)- I didn't track the mayo exactly, just guesstimated.
First day back at work and it was slow but I still feel beat.
I do feel proud of myself though bc I have a parking spot I own with my condo sitting empty and I've never rented it- I just get too anxious. But I saw a notice for someone looking for a space, so I reached out, and we agreed on price, did up an agreement. So that's a bit of extra money every month. Hopefully there won't be any issues. He seemed like nice person, and he lives in the complex here.

@trooworld Your meals sound good. I hope you have fun with your new friend. I don’t do anything special for my skin except moisturizer on my face and lots of lotion after I shower. I do wash my face with baby shampoo, especially my eye lids. A dermatologist told me to do that many years ago. @cbabie Good job on your exercise and your improved eating habits. @its_cleo Good job on tracking. Sometimes we have to guess as it’s not possible to always be exact. That was a good idea to make some extra money from the parking spot. Hi, all. The surgery went well. He was sedated and didn’t feel anything. I’ll probably have to have the same surgery. Almost everyone gets cataracts and no wants to have impaired vision. Dinner tonight was ham, green beans with tomatoes and biscuits. Our daughter and her family ate with us. We have leftovers for dinner tomorrow night.

@cbabie Yay for you! Good job with the exercise and eating well. I'm proud of you! <3 I love chicken on the grill, too. I rarely take a day off, so Monday will be nice. Aww, I bet you have better skin than you say. I have good skin, but not because I take care of it, it's just genetics. But neglect will catch up with me lol.
@its_cleo Me too! Oh, that soup sounds good. I love sweet potatoes, too. Yeah, I just don't bother with skincare, and I know I should. Good job tracking! Oh, that's nice you'll have extra money coming in via the parking spot. I hope there are no issues. Parking spots are a real issue in our condo complex: we are assigned one full spot, and then we share a spot with another condo. Well, there are people in the complex who take it upon themselves to just park in your spot because they think it's okay to do that. It annoys the heck out of me. It's the same people doing it.
@fabgeekmom It was good. Thank you! I know Monday will be fun. Sounds like you have a good routine that is simple to do. I'm glad the surgery went well. It's good that cataracts can be corrected. Yummy dinner.
Hi all. I know I'll be tired today at work: I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about work ugh. I hate that. I've been tracking pretty well lately. I've noticed that I am eating more calories than right after surgery, I'm eating between 900-1400 cals a day. I'm not happy with the increase, but it's healthy food. I'm still losing, so I guess it's all good. I see the dietitian in a few weeks, so I'll ask about the increase. I think it's normal, actually.

Morning all, Didn't end up exercising yesterday. Had so many urgent projects, it just didn't happen. The difference between men and women? I was vacuuming yesterday and trying to get the playroom and living room done real quick. My DH says you going to do the bedrooms? I said no that's your job..well he later told me not to put up the vacuum as he had to sweep the garage. I said what about the bedrooms? "I have to sweep the garage." Well that's his priorities. LOL I am trying to figure dinner out rn and can't. Nothing sounds good…LOL. This is when I wish @fabgeekmom lived next door..LOL
@fabgeekmom glad you DH surgery went well. Yes I guess we will all need that someday. I keep having my checked as my night driving is getting harder. LOL Interesting about the baby shampoo. I had never heard that. But at least you know its gentle for your skin. makes your face feel as soft as a baby.
@trooworld You are probably more active than when you first had surgery. You would need to increase your calories. It's great you are seeing the dietician and can ask and then no for sure. I used to go to sleep thinking about work..so glad I don't, but I had a weird graphic icky dream last night. Not sure why or what it meant. Just glad its over. I usually don't dream things I remember. LOL
@its_cleo Smart move increasing your income by something you already have and are not using. I am sure it will be great with no issues. LOL I had to read your first sentence twice. (I speed read). I thought you made halloumi soap with sweet potato, and I thought ucky…then I read reread and saw SOUP.LOL

@trooworld The calorie count sounds good although you’ll feel better about it when you talk to the dietitian. @cbabie That’s too bad about the exercise but you do burn calories from vacuuming. Hi,all. Today was a swim day. DH is doing better. We both had a good night’s sleep. I ate the last of the chicken for lunch today. Tonight we are eating ham. I’m making a salad and polenta.
0 -
@cbabie LOL yes, that is like men! I have a list of projects on a whiteboard that are not a "priority" for my husband so they don't get done. I hope you figured out something to eat. I am more active for sure. I hate when I think about work while I'm at home! Sorry about your icky dream.
@fabgeekmom Yes, I will. Good job on the swim! I'm glad your DH is doing better. I hope you enjoyed dinner.
Hi all. Yesterday was kind of a weird day: my manager got in a car accident on the way to work (she's okay, her car isn't) so didn't come in and a patron lost a book so they have to either replace the book or pay to replace it. And overall, the day was just off. I made a buffalo chicken wrap for dinner.

@trooworld I’m sorry you had a bad day. Hi, all. Not much is going on. I went for a walk after breakfast. DS is off today and is grilling chicken along with pickled carrots and hummus. He makes his own hummus which is really good. We’re going to Sam’s to get chicken and some other stuff.
0 -
@fabgeekmom Thanks. Good job with the walk! I make my own hummus, too, it's easy to make and miles better than store-bought hummus. I hope Sam's went ok.
Hi all. Nothing much is going on. Yesterday, work was okay. Today, I weighed in and lost 0.6 lbs. Not too impressive but I am getting very close to Onederland. Oh, I do have an NSV: I had these work pants that were way too tight in my closet and I broke them out yesterday to wear to work. Well, now they are too baggy! So, I'm going to Macy's this weekend for a couple more pairs that actually fit. Today is usually my work-from-home day but I am going into the office for a half-day. Then, this afternoon, the handyman is coming to work on the drywall in the bathroom (due to the leak).

Hi everyone. I live in Australia, and have done WW at least a few times over the last 20 years. I had a lot of success with WW a long time ago, but struggled to lose weight when they introduced all the zero point foods. I’m now just doing mfp. I have about 115 pounds to lose, or 52kg. I started mfp about 2 weeks ago. Nice to meet you all.
My last big weight loss journey I lost about 65 pounds, or 30kg, but unfortunately over several years gained it all back plus a little more. I am pre-diabetic, so really need to lose the weight. I’m 47 years old, and work in a very sedentary job. Looking forward to reading the posts from this group :)
0 -
Hi and welcome @mh7816 ! A lot of tried WW and then just do MFP. I’m 48, from Canada. Tracking is the only thing that has ever worked for me.
@fabgeekmom glad the surgery went well. I had my eyes checked last year and they said it was fine ‘for my age’ lol. Not sure what that means, but I have a hard time reading the small text on things now.
@trooworld the thing with skin care is it’s good to do, but then I feel a lot of products don’t really do anything. That’s odd about the parking spot being shared, that would stress me out. I hope you find some pants you like!
@cbabie lol I heard men like vacuuming bc they like using a machine. I guess it’s a stereotype. My place doesn’t have a lot of carpet, and I’m glad but it’s just endless sweeping instead.
I’m doing ok with calories. Wed was my weekly weigh in and my weight was down, hasn’t been down in a month so nice to see the tracking is making a difference.
I saw the physio Wed. I’m only going once every two weeks now. He game me another exercise to do and told me to increase weights on the others. There are 5 exercises total, 4 for hip/glute muscles- like all the muscles around the hip joint- and 1 core. I tried today and holy smokes it’s a lot. It takes me an hour and 15 mins on a good day, if I was tired and needed more breaks it would be longer.
But I’m really trying hard to be diligent and push myself. Trying to squeeze in some bike rides if I have the energy.
The weather is finally getting nicer.

Morning all, not much new going on here. It's been so nice out. I wish it could stay like this and not get so hot, but it's better than snow. LOL.
@trooworld LOL on the pants, isn't that just life? Good luck with the repair. I hope it's a quick one. I feel so bad for you guys, you have had so much trouble with that one area. Glad your boss is okay. Yay on the loss, I would take that rn LOL. I haven't gotten on the scales, too afraid to!
@fabgeekmom I have never tried pickled carrots. Does it make them a little sour? Yea on your walk.
@its_cleo Good job on continuing your exercises. I know you will love yourself in the end. I know my Physical Therapy on my knee took me an hour to do. I have to get back to those too…don't want to lose what I have gained. LOL
@mh7816 Welcome to our corner of the world. Yes I think the zero points hurt us. It's still about what you put in and what you work off. LOL. I used to work a very sedentary job too, (retired now) I think that's why l worked out in the mornings as I was too tired from sitting all day in the evening. Everyone is different, my boss couldn't workout until after work. (she likes to sleep) LOL I am so glad you are here!! This place is a safe place and we are here to encourage each other.

@trooworld That’s good that your pants are too big! You seem to be losing at a moderate rate. It’s all good! I hope the repair goes well. @mh7816 Welcome to our group! I agree about the 0 point foods. Tracking calories is more accurate. You can do this! @its_cleo Good job on the tracking , weight going down, and doing the physio exercises. @cbabie It’s nice that the weather is warmer but not too hot. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. We had steak tonight with salad and mashed potatoes. DS made the mashed potatoes and they were so good. He doesn’t trust me to make them. Ha! Ha! I don’t mind.

@mh7816 Hi and welcome! The good thing about losing 65 lbs is that you have proven that you can lose weight! I'm from San Diego, CA in the US. I did WW for many years but didn't have much success. In December of 2024, I had weight loss surgery. I have lost 52 lbs since then, which is almost half of what I need to lose. I'm also pre-diabetic. I'm in my mid-50s. I'm glad you found us!
@its_cleo Yeah it's hard to say if they are doing anything for me, because I have really good skin as it is. I think that's why I haven't bothered lol. The parking thing totally stresses me out, I can never tell if it is a guest of the condo that shares the spot that is parked in the spot, or someone parked there illegally. And that condo that shares the spot always parks in spot like it's theirs! Ugh. Thank you! I think I will find pants. Congrats on the loss! Wow, that's a lot of exercises for your hip. 1 hr 15 mins is a long time. Is it helping? I'm glad the weather is nice.
@cbabie I'm glad you are having good weather. It's been a bit cold here. Yes, that is just life lol. Yes, this condo has been a headache but I'm still glad we bought it because our mortgage is half the price of a rental! Yeah, I'm glad I lost. Maybe you have lost, too, you won't know until you get on that metal monster lol.
@fabgeekmom Yes, I'm pretty happy overall with my rate of loss. Thanks. Good job with the swim! Dinner sounds amazing. I love mashed potatoes.
HI all. Well, as I was walking one of my dogs in the morning, I ripped my favorite (and only heavier jacket that fits) leather jacket. So, I ordered a new one from Macy's! It was a good price, normally over $500 but I got it for $235. Work was good yesterday. I went in because some of our students were graduating and I wanted to go to their portfolio show. They were really happy I came and a lot of them gave me hugs. It was nice to attend. I came home and the handyman said he was running late and asked if he could do the repairs next Friday morning. I said that was okay. I honestly wish we could just skip it, every time he comes, my dogs act like jerks and bark the whole time and it's really stressful for me and them. Today, my retired manager is meeting me for coffee and then we are going to an event for Independent Bookstore Day: a book crawl, which is that you go around to as many of the 14 independent bookstores in the area as possible. For every $10 you spend at each store, you get a stamp in a "passport". After so many stamps, you get a prize. It should be fun. It may rain though, so that wouldn't be fun lol.

Hi everyone. I’m not sure how to tag people- do you just type their name with @ before it? Or is there a shortcut? It’s nice to read about you all.
Are you all from the US, except for @its_cleo, who is from Canada? Sounds like you are all heading towards summer, where here in Australia it’s almost winter. Thank goodness, because Australian summers can be quite unbearable!
I’ve been back on mfp for 16 days and have lost 4.4 pounds in that time, most of it in the first week. My goal is to lose 1 pound a week, but I know that won’t be easy. I’m not exercising yet due to pretty bad back pain, but hope to go back to it eventually.
0 -
@mh7816 Yes, to tag someone, use @ plus the username. Good job on the weight loss. You can lose weight without exercising. Then when you can exercise do what you can do. A little about me: I live in the USA, in Virginia. I was on Weight Watchers but couldn’t lose weight. My doctor suggested My Fitness Pal as many of his patients had lost weight on it. I lost about 9 or 10 pounds and have kept it off except for about 2 pounds that I lose and gain. I have learned to eat what I like in moderation. @trooworld That’s too bad about the jacket but it looks like you got a good deal on another one. It must be stressful having dogs when the handyman comes. It looks like you have a fun day planned. Hi, all. It’s warm again here so l will go for a walk. First I’ll walk with DH as he doesn’t walk too much and then I’ll walk with a Peloton workout playlist. DS is grilling salmon tonight for family dinner with my daughter, her husband and her daughter. We do family dinner on Tuesdays and Saturdays and then go to her house on Sunday.

Morning all, same as yesterday, not much here going on. I will let you know that I had a total melt down yesterday and got into some candy and binged. It made me feel awful. For some reason I was struggling with depression..but over it today and excited to start my day. My DH finally planted some flowers in my back yard so when I sit here at my desk I can see them. I also bought a squash plant and bell pepper plant. I am trying my hand at growing that. We will see.
@trooworld I love what you and your boss are doing…how FUN! Oh I hear you on the Condo, I would hate to pay rent right now. Since covid it seems the rent skyrocketed. No matter what you live in, time will eventually show in your residence. Things just don't last like they used to. LOL. My grandson is graduating HS in June and talking about what to get him, I told my daughter my mom got me the dishes I still use 50 years later. LOL ( I was getting married right after graduation). LOL
@fabgeekmom I love that you and your kids get together for family dinner so much. LOL My daughter text me the other day and told that Prince died that day so many years ago, so she knew what music she was working out with that day. I laughed, it reminded me when you said you were taking your second walk with a Peloton workout playlist.
@mh7816 Yes we are going into summer, I live where we get up to 120 at times. So I am enjoying what we currently have which is high 80's low 90's. LOL Good for you on your weight loss. I want to also lose 1 lb a week. I won't do it if I ate like I did last night. LOL. I reached my WW goal without exercise, so yes it can be done. I think exercise just helps us tone our body and keep our joints moving! So glad you found us.
cbabie
0 -
@cbabie. That’s too bad about the candy. Eating certain foods releases dopamines that sort of gives us a rush. That’s why it’s so hard to give up those foods. Hopefully you can find something else to ease your depression. I’m sure the flowers help. DH planted tomatoes and winter squash. 120 degrees is really hot! That’s funny about the dishes. Things were made to last back in the day.
0 -
@cbabie Wow 120 degrees is really hot! We get temperatures up to about 114 where I live, but thankfully not too often. Sorry to hear you were struggling with depression. I binge eat sometimes too, but usually on fast food as opposed to sweets. I can only imagine how many calories I would eat on those days!
@trooworld I agree renting is very expensive, so it’s good you own your own place. I rent and my friends have commented my rent is much higher than their mortgages! Losing 52 pounds since December is a lot - sounds like you’re doing very well with your weight loss.
@its_cleo Do you do your exercises every day or less often, like a couple of days a week? It sounds like a lot, but it must be very good for you. I saw a physio a long time ago for a problem with my knee, and he gave me exercises for my back pain, but I never really did them. I should have but I didn’t quite understand the explanation and I guess I wasn’t convinced stretches would fix my back. Although my back pain was far less when I was a healthy weight, so hopefully I will lose a lot eventually.
@fabgeekmom When you say you use a Peleton, do you mean a treadmill? I know they make exercise bikes but I don’t know what else they make. I agree that it’s nice your family gets together for dinners. My only family is my brother, who I visit once a week, and my mother, who is in an aged care home. I visit her once every two weeks, because she is very far from where I live, and I don’t drive.
I’m doing okay. Back to work tomorrow after a week off for holidays. I have to be careful not to turn to junk food when I get stressed from work. Stress is a big trigger for me to eat too much. I will try to be good and make sure I write down everything I eat.
0 -
@cbabie aw a binge once in a while happens to all of us. With me, it’s chips and dip. I almost bought some yesterday. I feel like the occasional splurge if we’re feeling down or stressed is ok. Sometimes we just need to get through the day.
Wow 120F that’s a lot. I’m not sure summer is ever going to come here. Right now it’s 7c, or 44f
@fabgeekmom that’s interesting about food and dopamine, I didn’t know that. Well, I think I heard that for spicy food.
@mh7816 I do the exercises every other day- or I try to. My hip is messed up- last fall I somehow had a soft tissue tear- it’s called a labral tear. And gluteal tendinopathy, which happened at the same time. It is very slowly getting better. …I expect for sure less weight would help your back and joints. Physios- I’ve had good ones and bad ones. This is the second one I tried, he is better than the first. I’ve had a lot of overuse injuries in my life- that is what this injury is. …Stress is a killer for me too with food. – Tagging – I just do bold bc sometimes it doesn’t work. – C ongrats on the weight loss!
@trooworld sucks about the jacket. I hope you’re having a good weekend.
My weekend has been quiet. I have to do my physio today, and then just housework and watching baseball, until the Jays start losing anyway lol. It’s sunny here today which is nice.
Not sure what to do for lunch. I’m tempted to get take out- there is a Mexican brunch place nearby that does nice quesadillas, but it would be more calories. I want to make a sweet potato salad for tomorrow.
0 -
@mh7816 I don't really tag people, I just bold their username. I do this because I write my responses in Notepad and then copy and paste it into the response window. When I do this, I can't really tag people. I write in Notepad because MFP has a way of eating your responses and I don't want to lose what I write. I am from the US, from Southern California. It is Spring here now, I think Summer starts in June. Winter! I'm glad we are done with Winter, although California's Winters are rather mild. Congrats on the loss, that is awesome! Yes, renting just is so expensive nowadays. Thank you, I am happy with the rate of loss! I get the turning to junk food thing. When you are stressed at work, can you take a little break and walk around the building or outside just for a few minutes? That always helps me.
@fabgeekmom Yes, I was sad about the jacket as I really liked it. But hopefully, I will like the new one, too. It is really stressful when the handyman comes. It was a fun day. I hope you enjoyed both walks. I hope you enjoyed the salmon.
@cbabie I'm sorry about the meltdown. What caused it? Depression is the worst, it just sucks any motivation right out of you. :( How nice to be able to see flowers from your desk. I just see a bunch of clutter in the form of craft supplies lol. Good luck with the gardening. The book crawl was fun! Yes, rent is so expensive everywhere. You are right about things not lasting like they used to. I think they do that on purpose. :( Wow, your dishes have lasted a long time, that's awesome!
@its_cleo Thank you, I am! A quiet weekend is good once in a while. I hope you figure out something for lunch.
Hi all. The book crawl was really fun but the bookstores were very crowded and it was a bit anxiety-provoking. I bought three books and a bookmark of a 3D shark (see pic below). I went to Macy's after the book crawl to see about the work pants. I tried on about 5 pairs and didn't like the way any of them fit, they were either too small or too baggy. So, I came home and ordered my favorite brand in a smaller size. Then I ordered some other items of clothing because Macy's is having a good sale! Today, I am going to a free outdoor art festival and then to this art event at a coffee shop where you bring your own supplies and sit and make artwork with other artists while listening to a DJ. After that, I have to drop off a piece of art at a coffee shop where it is going to be exhibited in a show next month. Should be a busy day.

@mh7816 I use the Peloton app that my daughter shares with me. She has the bike. I have a recumbent bike. I also use the app for walking outside. I do exercises every morning for my hips. I broke my femur a few years ago and I still do the exercises. I think they help. I’m curious as to what holiday you celebrate in Australia. @its_cleo A quiet weekend is nice. I’m glad the exercises help. Hi, all. Dinner last night was good. We have one piece of salmon leftover for lunch today. I’m lazy this morning and have been working crossword puzzles and drinking coffee. I’ll do some kind of exercise and then of course, dinner at my daughter’s house.

@trooworld I forgot to respond to your post. We have so many on the platform. It’s nice! The book crawl sounded like fun except I would hate the crowds. I think I read the middle book. The art thing also looks like fun. That was a good idea to order pants online. I hate trying on clothes at stores.
0 -
@fabgeekmom I'm glad dinner was good. Your morning sounds relaxing. Yes, we do have a lot, whcih is nice! Yeah I wasn't crazy about the crowds. I've heard good things about the middle book. The book on the left is a book of poetry. I hate trying stuff on in the store as well. I'd rather return stuff later! :)
Hello all. Well, the day just didn't have enough time in it: we ended up not going to the make-your-own-art thing. But we did go to the free art festival and drop off my art at the coffee shop. At the festival, I was able to get sugar-free lemonade, which was a nice treat. I was very thirsty and it hit the spot. I made Gochujang Buttered Noodles and added a pack of Kevin's Natural Foods Korean BBQ-Style Chicken for protein. It was so good! I didn't eat much of it but what I ate was delicious. It was super easy to make as well. Today, I am going on a photo adventure at the beach with the new friend from my photography club. I took the day off work to do it. It should be fun.

@trooworld I’m glad you had a good time at the festival and enjoyed the lemonade. The gochujang sounds good. DS laughs at me when I try to pronounce it. He bought the ATK Korean cookbook but hasn’t made anything yet. He has made a few recipes online that were good. Hi, all. I came down with a stomach bug this morning and spent some time in bed. I feel better now and are eating some saltines. DS got me some chicken soup at the grocery store.

@fabgeekmom the Peleton app sounds good. Nice that your daughter shares it with you. Sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell. In Australia we have Good Friday and the following Monday as public holidays for Easter. Then last Friday April 25 we had Anzac Day, which I believe is like Veterans Day in the US. This is also a public holiday. Because of the short work week last week, I was allowed to have the whole week off. I don’t take time off that often, so it was nice :)
@its_cleo sorry to hear about your hip. I agree about the Physios - some are better than others. I saw one I really liked once, but she moved to another state so I couldn’t see her any longer. Your weekend sounded nice - I hope it went well.
@trooworld The art festival sounded good. What sort of art do you create, that’s going to be in the exhibition? A painting? I like the sound of sugar free lemonade. Would save a lot of calories :)
@cbabie I hope you’re going well. I see what you all mean about the tagging not working on mfp. I can tell it’s not working as I write this post LOL.
I’m fine, went back to work yesterday and it’s quite busy. I work in a call centre for a phone company, helping business customers. If there aren’t calls for a short while there’s so much other work to do, like answering emails customers send in. I work from home, which is good, but a little isolating at times. I have been eating well the last few days, so hopefully I will have a loss this week :)0 -
@fabgeekmom It's not the easiest word to pronounce lol. I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. That's good you are feeling better.
@mh7816 Thanks, it was fun. I do mixed media paintings, I will post a pic of the one that is going to be in the exhibit. It's called "The Lone Ranger." Yes, the sugar free lemonade was a nice treat and practically calorie free! :) At least when you are busy, the time goes by fast, right? It sounds like you stay very busy at work. That's good you work from home. I work from home on Fridays.
Hi all. I had a great time yesterday. We spent about 2 hours walking the coast, taking pictures. Then, we went to a Mexican restaurant and had fancy tacos: I had a quesobirria taco (made of beef) and a filet mignon taco. They were small and I only ate half of the filet mignon taco. Delicious but they were expensive for what they were ($12 each!). After that, I was originally going to drop off my new friend and go to a coffee shop and make art but I changed my mind because I had the beginnings of a headache. I came home and took a nap. I woke up and the headache became a migraine. I still have it today but I have to go to work regardless.
Water yesterday: 20 oz
My phrase for the year: “A new era of me.”

Morning all, Yesterday went better than the day before. Got on my bike, rode for 20 min before baby wouldn't leave me alone. LOL. Didn't eat late night snacks, Had just chicken for dinner…so all in all a good day. Baby girl came home from school and I had to cook chicken breast for her..she has gotten into a thing she loves just to eat chicken breast.
@trooworld Love the pictures, I am so sorry you have a migraine. I haven't had one in awhile and don't wish those on anyone. Funny about you have your go to pants, that's good I wish I did, but don't. I hate shopping so online is a good thing for me..just don't buy clothes too much anymore. Thats why I have to lose this weight. LOL
@fabgeekmom I am excited to try to grow a vegetable LOL That's great you have that app to share. My daughters and I used to do the same things. Now one just goes to the gym and the other one says she will never exercise again. LOL. (she will watch) LOL Yes now on the dishes, I wonder if the paint is lead based .LOL
@mh7816 that's great you get to work from home. I did for a bit during covid years, it was hard with a baby in the house that wanted to knock on my door..LOL. But it served it's purpose back then. Now I am just retired. LOL. sweets have always been my go to..that and JIF! :)
@its_cleo I know what it's like for PT, I broke my knee in 91 and I hated all the exercises, but I will say that I watched my dad through the years not do them and see how immobile he became. I didn't want to be like him..(even though I am in lots of ways. LOL). I hope it gets better as you go along..I know it will, just keep at it. Sweet Potato sounds yummy. do you have a recipe?
