@trooworld The pictures look really nice, especially your artwork. The tacos sounded good, maybe healthy for a Mexican restaurant. Sorry about the migraine. @mh7816 Thanks for explaining about the holiday. I love seeing how different people, especially those from another country, live. It’s good that you can work from home. @cbabie You are making progress! I can imagine it would be hard working from home when you have small children. I used to go in the bathroom and read to get away from them. My husband would ask them, where is your mother and they would say, in the bathroom with a book! Hi, all. I feel much better today and ate my regular foods. I did weigh myself and I lost 2 pounds, but I know I’ll gain it back. DS grilled skirt steak using a recipe from his new cookbook. Plus we had salad and corn on the cob. Tonight was family dinner so it was a good meal to share.

@cbabie I'm glad your day was better. Good job squeezing in the bike! Sounds like food was on point, too, well done. Thank you! Yeah I think I get less migraines since surgery/losing weight, but I still get them occasionally. I hate shopping too. I used to like it, and I guess I do as long as I don't have to try anything on lol. You'll get there, I know you will! <3

@fabgeekmom Thank you! Yes, I think the tacos weren't too unhealthy and since they were small, I didn't feel too bad eating them. :) I'm glad you felt better yesterday. You are so lucky that your son and daughter love to cook!

Hi all. My migraine went away on its own throughout the day (thankfully) and it was a busy day so I'm glad. It felt like a Monday lol. Traffic home was bad but once I got home, I made a nice simple salad with blue cheese, 50% less sugar dried cranberries, pecans, and chicken breast with lettuce. We call this salad the "Ugly Salad" because my friend who gave me the recipe, when asked what it was, said, "Oh, it's just an ugly salad." LOL I made a nice balsamic vinaigrette to go with it.

@trooworld I’m glad the migraine went away. The salad sounds good. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. I sat outside on the front porch after lunch. DH put the umbrella up. We ate leftovers tonight.

@mh7816 I work from home most of the time too, I like it, I’m a real hermit lol. Probably spend too much time alone. Although I go into the office once or twice a week, but usually only for a couple hours. Usually I go when I have an errand to run downtown anyway heh.

@trooworld beautiful pictures of the coast! Reminds me of a trip I took years ago to Galapagos Islands. I loved it. I always wanted to go back but haven’t made it.

@cbabie wow broken knee that sucks. Yeah mobility is very important to me. I’m really trying my best with it. There is a gym here that has a mobility class once a week, like with one of their staff leading it. I think I’ll check it out at some point….dobt have the energy to get that recipe atm, I am sorry. I will try to remember it on the weekend.

@fabgeekmom lol about being in the bathroom with a book. When we were kids and didn’t want to go to bed my mother would say it was the only quiet time she got. So yep we had to go to bed. And congrats on the 2 lbs!

Well I have been tracking pretty well, I have been eating slightly higher than my goal but not too bad. But today I ended up with takeout- just a burger and fries, but over cals for sure. In my defense I had planned to make a beef roast but I started then realized I didn’t have all the ingredients for like the glaze or sauce. I am forever starting to cook and then half the ingredients are missing. That was the other reason I do Hello Fresh occasionally.

@fabgeekmom Thanks, and yes, the salad was really good. Good job with the swim! Sitting out on the porch sounds nice.

@its_cleo Thanks! Wow, what a trip! Good job with the tracking. That must have been frustrating, not having all of the ingredients.

Hi all. I had another busy day at work yesterday. At least the day went by quickly and now, it's almost the weekend. I'm in an art show this weekend: the theme was Good News. You had to choose a non-political news article and base a painting on it. I chose an article about the discovery of some new species of octopuses and I used my recent painting of an octopus for the show. It should be fun to attend the opening, which is Sunday. Last night, I got home late due to traffic and my husband (who had been home since noon) was cooking his dinner. He was going to be another 30 minutes and was cooking fish in the air fryer, which is what I needed to cook my meatballs. I was frustrated and didn't want to eat at 6:30 and then go to bed at 7 so I just made a protein shake with frozen fruit and called it dinner. It's getting to be a problem: we have a small kitchen and it's hard to cook at the same time and then he also wants to use the air fryer so I always end up having to wait to cook. By the time he's done, I don't feel like cooking anymore. I'm either going to have to drink shakes or cook on the weekends, I think (which I don't usually have time to do). I did much better on water yesterday, I drank 3 times what I have been drinking.

Morning all, Yesterday was a bust for me. I am not sure what it was, but I ate my breakfast and a protein bar. I got real nauseated and stayed that way until about time to pick up my daughter from school. Thankfully that didn't happen today, but I volunteered at my daughters school today. It was fun. I feel so much better and feel as if I am getting "me" back.

@trooworld I am so sorry about your kitchen routine. I know my DH irritates me when I am trying to do something for my dinner and well lets just say I usually eat after the kids and him are done. LOL. Maybe its just a man thing. :). So glad your migraine went away. Your "ugly salad" sounds delicious

@fabgeekmom LOL I laughed at your comment, my mom always had a "basket" of books in the bathroom. Her's were things like the power of positive thinking books..smh Who knows maybe the 2 lbs will stay gone.. :).

@its_cleo Your cooking sounds like me..thats why I really try to do meal planning when I can, but most times its by the seat of my pants. I have also learn to improvise, it might say cream of chicken soup, but all I have is cream of mushroom…well family that is what you are getting. LOL. You are doing good on tracking, just keep it up! Don't worry about getting the recipe, if you have it yea, if not no big deal. I just happen to LOVE sweet potatoes, my kids hates them. go figure.

@its_cleo I’m sure it was frustrating not to have all the ingredients for a recipe. I hate that. Burgers and fries sound good. @trooworld The story about the octopus was really interesting. I hope you figure out your kitchen situation. @cbabie I am glad that you’re feeling better. I wonder if you had what I had on Monday. It’s good that you enjoyed yourself at your daughter’s school. And no, the 2 pounds came back. C’est la vie! Hi, all. I went for a walk this morning. It was hot but at least not humid yet. Dinner tonight was grilled pork chops, corn and salad. I did the cooking.

@cbabie Sorry you weren't feeling well. I'm glad you felt better yesterday. Yay for getting YOU back! :D Thank you. I need to figure something out. Maybe it is a man thing lol. I love that salad, it's easy to make and delicious.

@fabgeekmom Thanks. I will figure out the kitchen thing, I've got some ideas. Good job with the walk! Nice dinner.

Hi all. I think what I will do about the cooking is I will get things like these Kevin's Natural Foods refrigerated entrees. I had two different flavors this week (Thai-Style Coconut Chicken and Korean-Style BBQ Chicken) and they were good and the chicken looked like actual chicken, not ultra-processed like some of these entrees can look. I can throw some veggies in the oven, or steam them, or air fry them, and call it dinner. On the weekends, I can make actual recipes. At work, one of the IT guys replaced my laptop on Tuesday. He neglected to install all the programs I need, nor the printers, and so has been working on my laptop all week. It's still not 100% fixed. I've been so non-productive this week. I am looking forward to the weekend, the week was frustrating! I lost 2.6 lbs this week for a total of 55.8 lbs.

@trooworld That looks like a good meal plan. Too bad about the computer. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. I went grocery shopping. The protein bars and chips were on sale so I stocked up. DS is making shrimp burgers for dinner tonight, an ATK recipe, of course.

@fabkgeemom Thanks. Good job with the swim! I have to go grocery shopping today. Shrimp burgers, I made those with homemade tartar sauce and on brioche buns and they were delicious. I hope you liked them.

Hi all. I went to the dietitian yesterday and it went well. She was pleased with my progress. Her only notes for me were to increase my strength training (from zero to two to three days). I asked about the calorie range. I told her I have been eating about 700-1100 calories a day and she said that is just perfect. I decided to join the paid version of Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home program. It's only $6.99 a month, so it's not a huge investment. I did 15 minutes of a 45-minute video yesterday before I left for the dietitian. Then, when I was in the kitchen making dinner, I did a 500-step video that is free for everyone on YouTube...that one only takes 5 minutes to do so you can squeeze it in at any time. Today, I hope to do another video. I also have to go grocery shopping and then later today, I am going hiking with a friend. Here's the 500-step/5-minute video, in case anyone wants to try it:

@trooworld I really like your painting of the octopus, and those photos are amazing! Are those seals? I’ve never seen a seal before except on TV. Sorry to hear about the difficulties with making dinner. In Australia we have airfryers with two baskets. I don’t know how they work as I only have a small airfryer, as I live by myself, but I’m not sure if something like that would be useful.

Good to hear your appointment with your dietitian went well. Is eating 700-1100 calories a day what you are set to eat because you had weight loss surgery? I thought we were not meant to eat less than 1200 calories a day, but I must be mistaken. You’re certainly doing very well :)

@fabgeekmom Nice to hear you like swimming. I can’t actually swim, but I used to follow someone on WW who learned to swim as an adult, and she loved it and it sounded like great exercise. I’m frightened of being in the water though, although I’m not entirely sure why. I’ve never heard of shrimp burgers. We call shrimp ‘prawns’ in Australia, and a lot of people love them. I don’t eat a lot of seafood, I tend to eat mostly chicken for my protein.

@its_cleo I have become a total hermit since I got this job 4 years ago! We only have to go in the office occasionally, although we can go in more often if we want. It’s easy to go over calories with takeout, happens to me if I’m too lazy to cook and I don’t check the calories of the takeout before I buy something. I got caught out the other day getting Subway, not realising I’d chosen a higher calorie option.

@cbabie Sorry to hear you were feeling sick yesterday. It’s awful when that happens. Glad you’re feeling better now. Is your daughter in high school or is she in grade school - we call it primary school. Hope you don’t mind my asking.

I’m doing okay. I thought I was going to lose weight this week but I must have eaten more than I thought because I gained .4 pounds, or 200 grams. It is my time of the month - sorry if too much information - but I still didn’t think I would gain. But realistically I’m probably eating too much, and will try a bit harder. It’s been so busy at work, I wish they would hire more people but they won’t unfortunately. I like my job but it gets a little exhausting lol

@trooworld You have become really active since your surgery! The walking app sounds like fun. What app are you going to use for strength training? Or does the walking app have strength exercises? @mh7816 I have heard of prawns. I think they are like shrimp but maybe different. DS put shrimp in the food processor with other ingredients to make patties and then sautéed them in a little oil. A .4 gain during your time of month is not bad. I used to gain more than that. I’m 73 so all of that is a distant memory. LOL! Hi, all. I walked outside this morning and I was hot. I need to start earlier but I get so lazy after breakfast. I visited my cousin for a few hours and that was nice. She had asked me earlier if I wanted some cake she made and I said yes, even though I really didn’t want it. She forgot to give it to me and I didn’t remind her. A week from Sunday is Mother’s Day and DS is planning on making a cake. So I would like a break from cake. DS is in NYC so I am coming family dinner. I’m making a Skinnytaste pasta recipe from the latest cookbook, Instant Pot Spaghetti Rings with beef. I’m changing it up, using Italian turkey sausage and penne. Plus I bought some focaccia bread that I will heat up in the oven.

@mh7816 Thank you! Some are seals and some are sea lions (the ones with the little ear flaps sticking out are sea lions). There are two-basket air fryers here too, but my husband doesn't want to get one right now...we've got a Ninja Foodi which is a combo of an air fryer, pressure cooker, dehydrator, oven, etc., lots of things. If and when it breaks, I'm sure he'd be up for it. I want to get one now! LOL Yes, the low-calorie range is typical for weight loss surgery patients. I know it sounds like a low number but I guess it's okay because I have a tiny stomach now. You are right, a person with a normal stomach shouldn't eat less than 1200 cals a day. I'm sorry about the gain. It could just be a normal fluctuation, maybe if you weighed in today, you would be down. I know the scale is fickle! My job has been like that lately, too. It makes it stressful and exhausting.

@fabgeekmom I am trying for sure. The walking app has walking videos that incorporate dumbbells and bands. So, I'll start with that. I have an app called JFIT that gives you programs but I don't know if it has the equipment I have. I think it's meant to be used in a gym (which I don't have a membership to). I have all sorts of equipment, though, so I should be able to figure something out! That's good your cousin forgot about the cake. Dinner sounds good.

Hi all. Yesterday didn't go as planned: I did a 30-minute aerobic/walking video and my knee was hurting throughout it. It's been 3 months since I got the cortisone shot and I think it's starting to wear off. I am going to make an appointment with the orthopedic doctor for another one. So, instead of hiking, my friend and I went for a 45-minute walk and then sat on a bench and talked. It was nice. I did a total of over 2 hours of exercise between a couple of aerobic/walking videos and walking. It is supposed to rain today, which is a bummer because we are supposed to go to my art opening and then to an animal-centered event at a nature sanctuary, which is outdoors. We'll definitely go to my art opening but I'm not sure about the animal event if it rains. For dinner last night, I made Tacos Al Pastor (pork tacos in red sauce) + refried beans + my husband made elote (corn stuff). It was delicious but I could only eat a taco and a small amount of elote and beans.

@cbabie does this link work for you? https://www.hellofresh.ca/recipes/peanut-sweet-potato-stew-65f1d6b9d4f950689014c7ef?locale=en-CA

For the ingredients- the Indian spice mix is 2 tsp curry, 1 tsp of chili powder, 0.5 tsp of cumin. But that is light spice, you could add more in those proportions. This is based on me experimenting with it. The unit of halloumi is basically the regular package size you buy in the store.

@trooworld that sounds like a good compromise with the kitchen. You could also cook and then freeze meals I guess.

@fabgeekmom good work on limiting cake lol! It’s hard when people want to give us food. I had a birthday a couple years ago and a coworker bought me something sweet. Some cranberry chocolate thing. It was too much for me but I couldn’t say no.

@trooworld I don’t have any cooking gadgets. Once in a while I think I should buy something but I’m afraid I would never use it. The last thing I bought was a little blender and yep I never use it. Oh and I bought a grinder for coffee beans and I’ve never taken it out of the box lol. Which do you find most useful?

I did make my roast beef yesterday and it turned out well. I always worry about meat being cooked enough that I over do it, but yesterday it’s nice, I like beef rare. I will freeze a lot of it for sandwiches and stuff.

I’m sorry about the cortisone shot wearing off….I’ve heard they are of limited use.

@mh7816 .200 grams is nothing 😊 Don’t beat yourself up about it.

Well I did well tracking yesterday. Today I signed up for a volunteer event to clean up garbage along the lake- like a spring cleaning. People are terrible, they have parties by the water and leave trash everywhere. I’m not feeling great, though, so not sure how long I will last. My goal is 2 hours.

After that I might try to get a bike ride in, depending how I feel.

    Morning,

Yesterday eating wasn't that great..kids wanted pizza, so pizza it was. I am a glutton for punishment. I start that challenge again tomorrow that I ALWAYS gain weight instead of lose it. I intend to change that this time. It's really nothing more than an accountability group. There are prizes for the most weight loss. LOL. It's cloudy here today and windy.

@fabgeekmom I love that you are so active in your life right now. I have learned that its really important so our bodies don't quit. You have a healthy way of looking at life and that is such a good thing for you and people on this board. Thank you for being you. What are spaghetti rings? LOL I think we called them a can of spaghetti O's in my kids younger years.

@trooworld So happy to hear your dietician report was good. I used to do Leslies walks all the time, when my treadmill broke. LOL. Sorry about your knee, glad you decided not to keep going.

@mh7816 my daughter is in kindergarten. No I don't mind you asking. LOL. .4 lbs is nothing..you got this!

@its_cleo Yes that link works! Thank you. LOL I am the queen of kitchen gadgets.

@trooworld Too bad about your knees and the rain spoiling your plans. Good idea to walk instead of hiking. The pork tacos sound good. @its_cleo Goid job on tracking. I’m glad the beef came out as you wanted. Good idea to freeze leftovers. That’s great and admirable that you are volunteering to clean up. I agree, people can be slobs. @cbabie Thanks for the compliment. Ah, pizza! Hard to resist but you can get back to what you consider normal. The spaghetti rings are exactly like the canned ones you buy for your kids. I have bought the dried ones at a specialty grocery store but most of the time I use whatever I have. Hi, all. More on the cake story. My cousin called and said that she had forgotten to give me the cake and asked if I wanted her to bring it to me. I told her no, that I was trying to be good, especially since on Mothers Day we’re having a heavy meal. It rained today so I rode the recumbent bike. We’re going to my daughter’s house for dinner. She’s making split pea soup since my son is not home (he hates split pea soup). I’m looking forward to it.

@its_cleo I just looked at your recipe. I make a similar peanut stew but it doesn't have halloumi in it. Maybe I'll add some next time. I am thinking about cooking and freezing meals but it never seems that I have enough time on the weekends. We'll see how it turns out! Ah, I see, well if you don't think you'd use a kitchen gadget, why buy it, right? I find most useful the Ninja Foodi for the air fryer. The air fryer makes cooking easy! I'm glad your roast beef came out well. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, I hope you felt well enough to volunteer and ride your bike.

@cbabie Pizza is hard to resist. Good luck with your challenge. I hope you win a prize. Yeah I love Leslie videos, so fun! Thanks.

@fabgeekmom Thanks. The tacos were good. I'm glad you stood your ground on the cake. It's not easy when people try to give us food. Good job with the bike. I like split pea soup, it's nice on a rainy day.

Hello all. It did indeed rain yesterday so we didn't go to the animal event. We did go to the art opening, it was fine. I sat and talked with another artist while I was making an art piece. That was fun. For dinner, I made Black Pepper Stir-Fried Udon noodles and added shrimp for protein. They were really good and easy to make. A bit spicy because of the amount of black pepper it recommended but nothing I couldn't handle. Today, I am off because the handyman is coming: our front door won't lock (the metal security door will, but not the inside door) and there are several other things he has to fix around here. Hopefully, it won't take the whole day, and I can go out and do something fun.

Morning all, I heard a couple of you talk about rain. It rained and hailed here yesterday and today. Today I got caught out driving in it. I was taking my grand daughter home and I told her a fine time you picked..LOL. Not fun, you have to watch for flooding roads here. Well today is the first day of my challenge. so far so good, but it's only Monday mid day. LOL.

@trooworld I love the car tire picture..that's is what I have around my waist..LOL. I hope you get time to yourself today..that would make an awesome Monday right? :)

@fabgeekmom I have never had split pea soup. I laughed when you said DS won't be there..LOL. My youngest daughter ate those spaghetti o's from the time was about 6 months and still likes them. Good job on the cake, not sure I would have been so strong. Cake is my weakness. I hope to get on my bike today too..waiting for baby to take a nap. :P

@trooworld I hope you did something fun today. The pasta dish sounded good . I’m glad you enjoyed the art opening. @cbabie I hate driving in rain! That’s funny about your daughter and the spaghetti o’s. They are good but I prefer the ones I make. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. The weather was a little cooler which was nice. I cooked salmon in the air fryer and roasted some potatoes. We also had a salad. DS comes home tomorrow.

@trooworld I will read about air fryers, maybe it will work for me. I feel like I could use something to spark some different recipes…..I hope the handyman fixes everything. It's always a nuisance taking care of stuff like that, but it's nice to be done. I have a leaky faucet I've been ignoring lol…….yeah the halloumi is nice, but it does add calories. But I eat a lot of cheese. I got Hello Fresh next week and there's a halloumi salad lol. They got me with that, although I could probably have just made it on my own.

@cbabie good luck with your challenge! Whatever works to be accountable for yourself. I've been trying to post here and in the May tracking group. It works about half the time lol.

@fabgeekmom nice beating cake temptation again! It's been raining a lot here too. I'm kind of tired of it. I hope you have a nice dinner with your daughter.

Well I did the cleanup, I managed 2 hours. I felt good about it, about 100 people volunteered. I didn't make the bike ride though, felt kind of sick. Better today.

I'm doing better with tracking yesterday and today, though tonight I'm anxious and was tempted to dive into chips and dip but I have resisted.

I have physio this week, but my hip is getting better so I don't know how much longer I will go. I still cant walk a lot, but the pain is mostly gone, and I can walk maybe 10 mins more than I could before so I think it will come along slowly. I need to find some exercises classes to do after the physio ends though, so that is my goal this week. I could do it alone, but I've done that the last few years and I feel like I need a change. A fitness class or 2 would be a nice change to be with other people.

@cbabie Wow, hail...I'm sorry you got caught driving in that. Good luck with your challenge! In my Fat2Fit group, we are doing the Mel Robbins 7-day reset ( https://www.melrobbins.com/episode/episode-266/ ). It just started for us yesterday. Oops...that car tire picture was for the Fat2Fit group, I don't know what I was thinking lol. I'm glad you said something, I need to repost it in that group! :D That would have been an awesome Monday but that's not how it turned out (see below). :(

@fabgeekmom Unfortunately, I did not lol. But more on that below. Good job with the swim!

@its_cleo I really like them, I don't know if they are right for you? But they help me a lot: they cook things quickly. Thanks, he did fix everything but took all day lol. I love cheese. I'm glad you made the cleanup and you feel better now. I'm also glad your hip is getting better. I hope you can find some classes.

Hi all. The handyman got everything done but it took all day and instead of fixing the toilet, he had to replace it so that was an extra cost. But he is very reasonable in his prices so it ended up being less than I expected, so that was good and now we have a brand new toilet. I did have time after he left to go drop off a prescription at the pharmacy but that was about it. I made an excellent Asian Chicken Salad from Skinnytaste last night: https://www.skinnytaste.com/asian-chicken-salad/ I really liked it. I will have the leftovers today for lunch.

@its_cleo Good job on tracking and resisting the chips and dips. I’m glad your hip is better. I hope you find a good class to help you. @trooworld That’s good that you got your toilet replaced. The salad sounds good. It’s nice to have leftovers for another meal. Hi, all. I had to get blood work done for a doctor’s appointment next week. I had to wait a long time but I worked my online puzzles while I waited. I walked after lunch. I’m not cooking tonight as we are going to see our granddaughter perform in her spring concert. We’ll eat a sandwich before or after the concert. DS is home.

    trooworld Posts: 7,525 Member

@fabgeekmom Yes, it's a nicer toilet, plus my husband just broke the tank lid of the old one anyway and we were going to have to pay $60-80 to replace that so it's a win! LOL The salad was really good. That's good you had something to do while waiting for your lab work. Good job with the walk! I hope you enjoyed the concert.

Hi all. Yesterday felt like a Monday, it was busy and I didn't get much done. Today will be better. I had made a plan to do some sort of exercise before work but that's not going to work out: by the time I wake up and am ready to do something, it's time to get ready for work. Instead, I did a 17-minute beginner pilates YouTube video yesterday after work. Between trying to walk on my work breaks and doing something after I get home from work, I should be able to get exercise every day. I don't always take my work breaks, though.

Morning all, yesterday was a bust. I am not sure what was wrong with me, but I didn't do well on anything. I was nausea in the morning again for some reason. I think it was something I ate. I ate cereal and a protein bar. Not sure which one might have caused it. I will keep watching if I get that way again.

@trooworld So sorry your day wasn't exactly as you had hoped. Good news is you have a shiny new toilet..and you didn't have to clean it to get it shiny. LOL. Glad you could post still in your other group. Yea for you for trying each day to make sure you are moving!!!

@fabgeekmom I hope you enjoy your grand daughters function!! Glad DS is. home, now you get a vacation from cooking. :). Were your online puzzels word puzzles? I am trying to show baby girl how to do the "find the hidden words".

@its_cleo I am sure you will find some exercise classes for your hip. I sometimes think going to the gym is better for me, but when I look at how much time it takes, it doesn't work in my schedule. baby boy keeps me pretty busy.

@trooworld Your plan for exercise sounds like a good one. A little here and there is better than none. @cbabie I’m sorry you didn’t feel good yesterday. I wonder if the protein bar made you sick. Yes, I do word puzzles: crossword, spelling bee. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. DS wasn’t feeling good and went to urgent care. He has the flu so he is isolating from us. He’s taking medicine so hopefully he’ll feel better soon.

@cbabie Sorry you weren't feeling well and that the day was a bust. I do have a shiny new toilet lol! I think I know what happened to the old toilet: my husband used to mop the floor and then dump the mop water down the toilet. I told him to throw it outside but no, he had to do it his way lol. Well, the handyman said there was debris in the tank and probably clogging the toilet. Go figure! I hope DH learned his lesson.

@fabgeekmom Yes indeed! Good job with the swim. Your poor DS! Hopefully he feels better soon.

Hi all. Yesterday was busy at work. Traffic wasn't too bad, luckily. The weather was nice, the sun was out, so I decided to take one of my dogs for a longer walk. As we walked, a truck pulled up beside us and was talking to me about Violet. They said she was good-looking and asked if I wanted to breed her (they had a pug, too). I told them she was fixed so couldn't. It was kind of odd. We kept walking and had a nice walk. Today at work, we are having lunch at a restaurant. I've already looked at the menu and decided to get a mixed seafood grill. That is really the best option and it looks like it will be pretty healthy, considering it's from a restaurant.

    Water yesterday: 20 oz

@trooworld That’s too funny and weird about your dog. I know it’s good to have a working toilet. The seafood sounds like a good choice at a restaurant. I hope you enjoy it. Hi, all. DS is feeling better. He’s wearing a mask and staying away from DH and me. I cooked an American Test Kitchen recipe for chicken and bell pepper lettuce wraps last night. It was really good. Tonight I’m preparing Instant Pot Braised Chicken with mushrooms and tomatoes from the same app. I’m using chicken breasts instead of thighs.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t posted in a while, it’s been very busy at work; I’m always on a later shift, and usually finish at 6:30pm but a couple of days this week finished much later. Lucky I work from home!

@trooworld I hope your work lunch goes well. Yes that does sound like a healthy choice. That person in the truck asking about your dog did sound a little strange, but glad you had a nice walk after that :)

@fabgeekmom Does DS sound for Dear Son? I’m sorry to hear he has the flu. I hope he gets better soon. I hope your granddaughters’ concert went well.

@cbabie Sorry to hear you were feeling sick. Some protein bars leave a bad taste in my mouth and upset my stomach a bit, but they are usually the ones I hate the taste of so don’t eat again. Are the protein bars you’ve been eating lately ones you’ve had before? I hope you figure out what’s causing the nausea.

@its_cleo A fitness class sounds good, I hope you find something you like. I don’t think I could keep up with a class LOL but I used to see a personal trainer a fair while ago, and I really enjoyed that. I had to stop because I couldn’t afford ot anymore, but I wish I could go back.

I’m okay, I’m going to my doctor to get an iron infusion next week because I’m a bit anaemic, but I can’t take iron supplements as the side effects are terrible for me. I am quite short of breath these days and get very tired, so I hope it helps. My eating is hit and miss- I’m tracking everything but it’s hard for me to stick to my calories. Will see how I did on weight in day on Saturday. My very naughty cat escaped when I was taking the bins out. She’s a white cat but now is all dirty LOL.

@mh7816 Yes, DS is dear son. DH, dear husband, DD, dear daughter. I have had an iron transfusion and I felt much better afterwards. The shortness of breath might be from the lack of iron. That’s funny about your cat. They love to get out of the house. DD has 2 cats. One escaped but she was able to get him. I always laugh at the cats as they don’t know how good they have it, being inside.
