A cup of oatmeal has 54 grams of carbs, which converts to almost 12 teaspoons of sugar. Changed to a cheese omlette and bacon and promptly lost 10 pounds. Also, a diet coach told me to make my biggest meals breakfast and lunch and have a light dinner, so I make my breakfast bigger.
Really? I didn't realize it worked like that1 -
Bowl of cheerios or bowl of plain oatmeal, coffee, teaspoon of honey, coffee, milk, coffee, and juice (sometimes). Oh, did I mention coffee? After my kids were born, I think Juan Valdez renamed his mule after me.1

This week has typically been a fiber one protein bar and a 100 calorie, 20g protein shake. I'm not much of a morning person and on the go for class early most days so it works perfectly for my situation. On off days where I'm not rushed I'll make coffee, eggs and usually throw in sausage or some sort of meat for added protein.1

I usually do Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with berries; light English muffins with soft cheese or avocado, turkey bacon, and an egg; or some combination of eggs/turkey bacon/yogurt/fruit/etc. I tend to skip breakfast or eat a very small one because I prefer to have the bulk of my calories in the evening.1

Same thing everyday...Roasted vegetable and egg white casserole topped with kimchi, salsa chicken and salsa.1

Herring in wine sauce (5 pieces = 85 calories and has 9 grams protein) with 1/2 cup 1 or 2% fat cottage cheese. Coffee black0

During the week I have black coffee.
On weekends I have brunch with my hubby and it's usually eggs benedict (if we go out) or eggs, bacon, and toast (with ghee! ❤ ) if we stay home.0 -

This morning:
Lender's Onion Bagel
227g Fage 2% Greek Yogurt with 11g Jello Sugar-Free/Fat-Free chocolate pudding mix and 2 tbsp. Torani Chocolate Macadamia sugar-free syrup added.
Toast bagel, use as an edible utensil for the yogurt/pudding combination, win breakfast.0 -
Special K protein cereal w/ cashew milk and raspberries, 1 egg sunny side up. Otherwise would have had a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, warm black bean salsa, and picante sauce in a low carb wrap.0

Oatmeal made with water, whey protein mixed in, topped with flaked almonds and squirt of honey0

I'm pretty boring. I drink a smoothie every morning cause I'm not a bfast person. 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup frozen berries, spinach or kale. It keeps me full and gives me energy for my morning workout. Plus it's low in calories so I can eat more for lunch0
-
Whole wheat toast, 1 Tb. coconut almond butter, 1 banana sliced, chia seeds sprinkled on top. Mmmmm good!0
