Sherry, In the last two days I've had weird malfunctions of programs on my laptop computer that later straightened themselves out so perhaps the challenges of your tablet will do the same. Your words are coming through perfectly

Heather, I haven't said anything about the house in Hove but I fell in love with the photo the minute I saw it. I am so happy for you. I know you will stay in the moment as all the parts in the puzzle sort themselves out. While you are busy decluttering and packing, your sellers will find the perfect next home for themselves in coordination with you finding the perfect buyer for your current country house and before long we'll hear the story of your moving in to the new house.

My visit to line dance class this morning went well. I felt good walking through the dances and sitting while everyone danced to the music. I suspected that I might have been able to dance some of the dances but I stayed with the plan I'd made. After lunch I went for a walk in my neighborhood with my friend who just got back from Texas. However, when Jake suggested going to Costco, I told him that I needed to sit and I got my knitting and watched recordings of figure skating.

Hello, Delighted Damsels!!
My friends, I am having one of those Veruca Salt moments... I know it’s ridiculous, I know it’s unrealistic – but DARN IT! I want it now!
I hate being irrational. I guess in the back of my head, I am still susceptible to the guy with the magic beans. Despite KNOWING that there is no magic – that only hard work will get me where I want to be – I am still somehow searching for the “easy” way. I suppose it’s a good thing I don’t have a cow.
Rationally, my brain knows that I have been fat since childhood – that I am going to have to sweat and struggle for another whole year – at least – before I get anywhere close to being where I want to be. Rationally, I am proud of being the lowest weight – and certainly a smaller size - than I have seen in 20+ years and excited to see what the future will bring.
Irrationally, I want the rest of my unsightly flab to magically melt away, overnight. I am frustrated by the snail-pace that I have set for myself – even knowing that to starve myself to lose faster is to doom myself to failure. I KNOW this.
And I can SEE the seeds of the body I want... Buried under the flab, there are baby biceps. I have discovered I have ribs – who knew? – and my collarbones are just beginning to cast a shadow. I can see where it is all going... and that glimpse of what could be just makes me want to push the fast-forward button in the worst kind of way.
It is killing me that there is no Easy Button for this. The urge is strong to get a little crazy – find the latest “miracle diet” and completely go off the rails. (Eat black beans and sardines to lose 5 lbs a week! Drink cinnamon tea every day to melt the fat away!) *sigh*
Patience is SOOOO hard. Harder than exercise, harder than eating better.
I am going to give myself a little slap now. It’s what you do when people get hysterical and crazy, right? I really hope this mood passes with the departure of our beloved Aunt. I am hoping this is just some by-product of the hormonal flux and that my rational brain will be able to overcome the madness, soon. In the mean time, I will just have to grit my teeth and hang on.

NYKaren – I hope your DD is enjoying herself. College really is a growth experience... the first time you are truly on your own for any length of time, the “being responsible” for everything from laundry to what you eat for dinner, in addition to the whole student/studying thing. It’s a whole new world, when you know that there is no immediate safety net. Glad your girl is a sensible one. I am sure you had a lot to do with that. :]
Liz – Even if you can’t eat the casseroles, at least you don’t have to worry about what the family is eating. So awesome. I am cheering for your November goals... there is nothing like breaking out of the 300’s – simply nothing better... at least, nothing I have experienced, yet. I hope breaking out of the 200’s will be even more satisfying – but that is a few pounds off, yet. Perhaps in April or May – unless I find some magic beans... *grumbles, smacking herself, again*
Janet – ‘Ware the Aligators! I am going to plant one in your refridgerator!
Charleen – I think those higher calorie days reassure your body that you are REALLY NOT going to starve it to death – so it heaves a sigh of relief and drops another pound or two. Of course, I am not saying to go crazy and eat 4000 calories – but, you know, a few more than the 1300 for a day or two. Hope that it works.
Margaret – I was trying to be tactful – lol. But, it really is hard to deal with folks that have no internal filters, sometimes. If you know that going in, and you expect it, it’s easier – but still no picnic. If you DON’T know it, and don’t expect it, it’s a bit like a slap in the face.
Kim – Your winter garden sounds like you will be eating well when everything is ready for harvest. And my Mom took her phone OFF the hook, yesterday. She couldn’t take another “survey” call, or a call to vote for one thing or another.
Lenora – Relieved to hear your BnL is gaining. And who thinks they can sell their land, but still get to hunt on it? Sheesh! Hurray for a happy scale day!
Sherry – I hear you on the budget. I have the same issue. My income is all there is and it isn’t that much. And your soup sounds like a winner. I am going to try it – since I have – not a polish sausage, but a smoked one – and a cabbage in my fridge right now. And of course, the cupboard always has some Cream of Mushroom in it. Hurray for another Quitter! I quit a long while back. For several years afterwards, I would smoke a “social” cigarette – at a bar, with friends that smoked – every several months or so... and every time I did, I was reminded of why I quit! Lobelia? That’s a lovely little flower. I had no idea it was used as a medicinal herb. Yay!
Cheryl – Taking care of a friend trumps exercise, anyway – but that you were able to take care of your friend AND exercise is a bonus!
Joyce – Sorry about the bruising. Those blood thinners are tough on the system. I always box up half the restaurant food, too. I love getting a second meal that I don’t have to cook!
Rori – Hurray for 5 months Alcohol Free!! That is a real accomplishment.
Diana – Welcome – the wagon is a busy place, these days. There is usually some good company to be had. Visit, often.
SueBDew – Renewed Determination... that sounds about right. I am trying to find ways to keep the weight loss train rolling – no matter what – regardless of the holidays. I SO want to see the back-side of the 200’s asap! 28 pounds to go, darn it! *sighs* Did I mention patience is hard?
DancingChicken – Welcome to another PNW girl! The sedentary life does tend to get hold of a person... and since it is easy to get sucked into sitting at a computer for 20 hours out of 24, it doesn’t seem to be an easy task to escape... At least you live in a GREAT place for outdoor pursuits... if you don’t mind a little rust. *grins*
Pip – Still inspiring us all to more activity, I see... GO PIP, GO!
Barbie – I am so glad you are doing well and I can’t wait to hear that your doc has released you to dance, again.

Kate – Back on track is good... Life happens, and we just have to move on. Never even heard of Konjac Flour... I had to google it. Interesting... My DH has Type II Diabetes. I might need to ask his doc about this.
KJ – I imagine there is a fine line between getting rid of the candy as fast as possible, and having a house full of children all wired up on sugar... I am glad you are feeling better – I am the same, whenever I am sick – I just want to curl up and eat something warm and creamy. But, you are better now... and ready to get back to it. ((Hugs!))

Judy – MFP is great – you can make it whatever you want it to be. Folks here do all sorts of different things – lo carb, Keto, “clean eating,” Intermitent Fasting or any other program you can think of. You just tell it your stats and how much you want to lose, and it gives you the calorie goal. How you use the calories is up to you. Welcome!

Well, as it turns out, the Walmart stuff wasn’t ready to be picked up last night – so it was leftover Poblano Chicken Stew. So good – and even good for me. I get a gold star! Of course, the expectation is that the items should be ready for pick up, tonight... so – fast food. Pre-logging to mitigate any possible damage.
I am off to eat some boneless chicken wings!

Question: Does anyone know how to post pics to this forum from the Android App? I have a Samsung S6 and when I am in the Community Section of the app ready to post on the forum I do not see the Icon to post pics. I'm sure I'm missing something simple but....help please!

Re - I can sooooo feel you on wanting to push that fast forward button and wanting it now! I've struggled with weight problems all my life and just want this to be over now! I am soooo tired of being fat. So I know right where you are coming from, there's got to be an easier way, right? I just try to take it one day at a time (sometimes one moment at a time, lol!) and do the best I can for myself each day or moment. Eventually time goes by and soon it becomes longer than you think it's been and you have made progress and can look back and be proud of what you have done for yourself. You just have to get through those tough moments one at a time and stick with it. You can do it! I have faith in you!
Barbie - everything seems to be OK with the tablet now. Just not sure why I can't post Smiley's. Maybe it's got to do with me accessing everything through the app instead of the website. Somehow they are getting lost in translation between my keyboard and the app.
Missy went for a walk today with me. I had to change up my route as I don't like her being anywhere close to the main thoroughfare by my house. So we stayed within the neighborhood and she "went on Safari" with me. The neighbors get a kick out of it when they see her walking with me. She is a dandy little walking partner and she loves to check out all the different smells around the neighborhood. Of course she crashed out on the couch as soon as we got back! I will have to take a pic of her soon and see if I can post it on here.
Had the left over soup from last night for dinner again tonight. Always seems to be better the second time around! Had quite the big lunch today but stayed under my calorie goal for the day. Looking back on the last week or so I noticed I am doing a lot better on carbs than I thought I was, which makes me very happy! Sometimes it's the little things that bring us joy!
Well, I should go. It is time to kick back and watch another movie or two again tonight. It's time to "medicate" and take my shot. You ladies have a great evening!

This is my Melody, a rescue cat like a lot of you have. Didn't know it would be so big and would have date and time!
Loved choir practice tonight, wish it would have lasted longer. A lot of Christmas music and most of them are arrangements of some of the old classics.

Our two dogs and the dog we had before are pure bred, purchased from a carefully chosen breeder. Bernie, our cat (see above for photo) was one of a litter of kittens born to a stray rescued by a friend....I love cats that are a mixture of many breeds. On my own, I'd be the crazy cat lady with a house full. Cheri and Joyce, I love the cat pictures.
I am staying up later than usual because Jake wants my company watching the last of the World Series' games4 -

Well Wednesday is almost over, and it is my longest day of the week – 5:15- 6 walk Levi, 6:32 a friend arrives for lattes and a chat, 7:15 leave the house for the camp garden with lunch packed, and a change of clothes, 7:45 arrive at camp, work until 11:30, change clothes, hop in the car with my lunch sack next to me, drive to an embroidery shop that I am helping out at – arriving by noon, eating my lunch as I drive, work there from noon to 3pm, leave there for home, arrive home at 3:30 – play with Levi, empty the car, and change into yoga clothes, 5pm leave for yoga, arrive home at 7pm, fix dinner – 9pm drop into bed… but here it is 9:40pm and I’m typing to you with a cup of chamomile tea - both camp garden and yoga were tough workouts today, think I’ll brush my teeth and take an alieve so I can just fall asleep not find it hard to get comfy..
November Goals:
Write Christmas letter, and have all cards ready to send by Dec1…
Read and report on a book
Log everyday to the best I can, over if need be.
11,000 + steps everyday
Work on water consumption -
