mine doesn't usually have a preview unless i'm viewing the desktop version via the mobile site, vs the app. i always have to make sure i'm using the desktop version for the preview in my phones browser esp when i post a gif or jpeg too otherwise i'm paranoid i'm going to post the wrong thing.

It is the browser, then it showed up once! Like magic. After I press post I get it...useless!

yeah if your browser has a "request desktop site" button or checkbox, try that, you'll prob have to reload the page but doing that typically makes it look just like you're using an actual desktop and you'll have the preview button then. i do at least.

Always learning on mfp...todays lesson was how to not humiliate myself posting pics/gifs!
