I’m thinking about being a child listening to a stack of my mom’s 45s.

Now I’m thinking about listening to a stack of 45s

It’s a lot of fun. Those records were lost during a family drama. I still have a record player and albums, but no 45s.

Time to go thrifting Mistress! Usually see a bunch of 45s when I'm out

I don’t know why I never thought of that.

Where I used to live there used to be record stores (think Hi Fidelity). *sniff*

Yes definitely start looking and garage sales when they start up again. I actually wouldn't be a bit surprised if actually record stores came back one day/exists more so for the collector types.

I can honestly listen to those 45s with a bottle of vodka and a box of tissue

Y’know, I never did the adult listening thing. You may be onto something.

I meant to say I can't listen to actually...

    Motown? Say Motown....

Yes, Motown among others. I can still see the labels. There was the one with the green apple, one with a pastel colored city, an all yellow one, a couple of black ones.

If I didn't have to work tonight...
It would so be a drinking and oldies night lol...

But I can't go down that road when I got to work

Smokey Robinson is the greatest songwriter of all time... And one of the best singers

And this does not belong in the unpopular thread, so here it is...

I love that you mentioned this. I spent hours alone as a kid listening to vinyl. My father got rid of all of it years ago without telling me... I felt like he just threw away gold! There is one album in particular that I have been searching for for years. It was a mixed album from the 70s English and Latin music... songs that were the backdrop of my childhood... the good times mostly 😊
I would do anything to find it but I have no idea what it's called. I only know it was either a Portuguese or Spanish title... there are a handful of songs I actually remember from it and the cover was a lady in lingerie wearing super high gloss red lipstick a top hat and holding a cane. Lol.

i was bored at 530 this morning. searched abum covers on google with no luck. what songs do you remember on the album?

😊 Thank you! I've searched far and wide... I remember 2 songs specifically...
No me hables by Juan Pardo and Love me tonight by Luisa Fernandez.

Here's the no me hables video... posting it cuz it's just too hilarious not too! 😅

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness

or sometimes so comfortable it feels like home

Studies have shown people who are sad to be more artistic, forgiving, generous, willing to help, empathetic, sympathetic, and kind...

It's one of the main reasons why we care about helping one another 🤓❤️

And love bluesy music so much

idk idk sometimes i’d rather be a happy *kitten* who likes edm

That's what the purple pills are for 🤷🏽‍♂️
