I have jury duty coming up and my boss has given me a predated written excuse to get out of jury duty because she doesn't think "regular people should have to serve on that level of jury duty." I'm offended in so many ways that I didn't ask what she meant by the statement.11

Good grief. 😳😳
Sorry that happened or was ever said. 😞
That kind of mindset is so infuriating.
I'm sure you're valuable, capable and doing a great job at what you do regardless of what people like that ever say.1 -

completely outrageous. i'd rip up the paper and find a new job. *ideally*.

Well in England, they have professional jurors...
It's like they regular job, so in many respects, not a trial by peers...
Maybe that's what she meant, but tactles nonetheless...0 -

No, whichever case you get assigned to. You get a summons in the post and you have to respond or you get fined. There are discrepancies in the way courts are run across the UK, ie I think Scotland and Wales have bigger or smaller juries. I don't think we have 'professional jurors'... *heads to google* 🤔0 -
Please tell us that's not your house?? Oh if it is...nice place ya got there.
But OMGawd says it all. Now my closets don't make me feel so bad.
It's Friday everybody!!! Celebrate!! Have some extra carrot sticks on me.
Not yet....but im bidding against 12 others to get it! Yup, thats right, this beauty is a hot commodity!
Boggles the mind. Not for you though ... These challenges and post flip possibilities rev you up.1 -

This makes me wonder about a “jury of peers.”
Do people with titles (do we still call them aristocracy?) get a jury of the same?
Is there a (nowadays theoretical) difference in the juries of nobility versus commoners?2 -
Am looking after my friend's sick baby ... Trying to not get sick is on my mind. I refuse to get sick. 2 years going and not even a cold. 😷 Just watching her little body fight the bug is so heartbreaking.😦5

I can’t wait to get my life back in order. I can’t believe I get so tired by just sitting. I’m so used to being super active. The pain has been constant. The bed rest drives me insane. I can’t even do what I love which is to work.6
