It came back as Lymphoma, and it came back with a vengeance.
He was at Stanford university cancer center being treated and he did not respond to the treatment.
He had sepsis, and lost most function of his nerves in his head. On Saturday he decided to forego treatment and go home. I don't know if he made it home, because I just found out he passed away yesterday.
I'm a mess.. I still remember the look he gave me after one particular day I asked him for help on a case I left on his side of the desk. It was ugly, and his expression when I came in the next day was the look of, I" have a bone to pick with you". No matter what he was always available for questions. He was always so patient.
On his side of the desk there's little things like world's best dad, and a white ribbon that says cancer survivor. I can't face that today.
My condolences for your loss.1 -

So is it "cheetle" fingers then? Cause "cheelte" is the residue and not the actual thing?
...and this has me wondering if there should be an official name for doritos dust/staining too
I'm not sure how Don feels about this.......
My thoughts exactly. Lol0 -

I'm falling apart.
The stresses of being in charge of employees where I'm not familiar with the work, and learning it with them.
The stresses of not being able to see their screen when they call me over for help.
Work crush drama..
Ex work crush drama..
Coworker passing away.
I can't take much more.
I'm taking a bouquet of flowers to leave on his side of the desk tomorrow. I'm also going to leave him a candy in his paper clip jar. I used to leave him Hershey's kisses. Give him one for the road.10 -
I feel like the universe keeps trying to teach me to only focus on that which I have the power to change. So, although it is difficult, that's what I'm going to do.7

Today is world Cancer day. Alot of research is going in to finding suitable cures to beat it. However, apart from treatments, 2 things are critical ; a strong will to survive and a equally strong support system. I have both ❤

i've finally made the connection why i can barely get out of bed in the morning regarding my knee. i've had plantar fasciitis after years of dancing and running. i believe now it's gone up my leg, as i haven't been wearing shoes in the house at all, and now i'm back to shoes, heel cups, and all the rest of that... i have to go get athletic tape today to tape my feet so everything is stable. all i can do right now is yoga and even that is agonizing...9

Your wife is probably going to find out... again. You should just give up or get a divorce.9

Patients are always sending in goodis for the holidays... Cookies, cakes, candies. Why never a fruit basket??
Maybe because they're indulgent and decadent not an every day food item so symbolically implying that you are very special and such pleasure to be in the realm of your acquaintance without using stalker, creepy, or sappy words.
But yes, I empathetically bemoan the irresistible temptation getting such calorie sinful gifts of appreciation from students.1 -
And while talking sledding...anyone have a GT snow racer back in the day?!
We had a "GT hill" where you had to dodge trees and stuff...there was a base skinny little path...miraculously I was never seriously hurt on it...
...damn kids are crazy!2 -

I'm really disappointed in myself. I had three days of staying on the diet and then a week or two of getting stoned and eating too much. I don't think my birthday present is good for my goals. 😕 I lost one lb just to gain three. 😢 Today is a new day though and all I can do is try to do better. I need to be thinner for the warm weather coming when I can't just live in my jacket which let's face it, it's not magically covering up the fat. I'm legit mad I let myself get this big.7
