I remain skeptical, mostly because they've said that numerous times this year and it always seems to veer off toward the LA/TX border (poor them!). Aaaaand at worst, so far.. this is predicted to be a Cat 1, which isn't too bad to sit through.
Be safe. We’ve got more back and forth banter to attend to. 🙂
Heh, I'll be surprised if 1.) this this actually comes here like they predict it will and 2.) it actually manages to knock out my power. So chances are, I'd still be around. Everything here is closed/locked down already in preparation, so I can't even go anywhere.
I had issues with lightning knocking out power and blowing the fuses to my well pump. Took 3 times before my insurance followed the electricians recommendations and replaced the fuses with breakers.
Now, imma have fuses again but to the entire house. The mains in are 600 amps. Good lawd they cost a small fortune but should never blow.
600 amps split to 3 200 amp panels. Imma have a full 200 amp dedicated to my workshop. 🤙🏼2 -
Laughing because an mfp friend sent me a video on ig that reminded her of me, but what she didn’t know is that the girl in the video was my cousin’s wife. Completely happened by chance ☺️7

I am in such a slump. Every time I seem to start making gains, I get hurt. Knee, ankle, shoulder, back. I am freaking falling apart. (Thank you 40s)
I used to love running, but my knees and ankles don't let me anymore. My quest to complete 250 miles this summer (which I completed) killed my ankle and now I can't even hit 6k steps til that heals.
I may try to get back into lifting, but I'm just struggling so hard to find motivation. I have been there/done that on logging food and exercise (and had the 6pack to show for it), but over the past three years, I've found 15 pounds, and lost any progress I gained.
My problem is caring enough to do it again. I don't like how I feel, I oscillate between - hey you STILL look great - and - gawd I feel horrendous - but I just don't have the energy to fight.
It's just... eff all this stress. Ya know?7 -

Totally feel your pain, I have a laundry list of injuries that seem to happen just as I'm getting back in the saddle. We just gotta keep on fighting the good fight.
Hope you get back on track soon.3 -

I feel sad that they cancelled the annual Christmas food drive where I live because of covid. Thinking about those families that depend on that to have a nice Christmas dinner. We can bring food at the shelter but I'm thinking it won't be as successful as usual because some people won't go there.4

"Sorry boss, I can't come in, I have folliculitis" only works once.2

I knew that I was tired at work and now I’ve slept roughly 9-10 hours. I did wake up at some point but not for long. 😴2

Clearly you're not thinking 2020 strategies.2 -
I just wondering why a gallon of milk can cost so much more at a convenience store compared to a grocery store.
This convenience store milk... is it magic milk?
I think somebody needs to be taken to the wood shed for this convenience store milk.
Damn them.2 -

Not to be a douche to you, but IRL my typical response would be something like...
“A lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. Thus, I can charge whatever you’ll pay”.
My response to PMs with last minute, ad-hoc requests is something similar.
Hope you got your milk at a reasonable price and can plan better in the future. 🙂

.... is that too much to ask ?4 -
My netflix went from holloween horror to Christmas romcoms overnight. Holloween hasn't even happened yet...4

I am now divorced. Not how I planned my life but we're still friends, my kids have a good relationship with their Dad and his new partner. He gets on with my new partner. We all get along, it's all good.
Congratulations. All that sounds so wonderful!
Well... not the divorce and things not going according to plan part. I get it totally. It's hard when your vision of the future isn't even remotely close to where you ended up, but to have happiness at the end is a lovely thing!
May you continue to experience this for many years to come!2 -

Underwear can stay the same...I don't want to buy a size 27.
Can they do waist, hip and length? Cause I have a butt and I have to buy pants that are cut to accommodate. That way I don't get stuck with pants made for women with no butt.

YAY for Reiki!
Tis a wonderful holistic healing modality. Anyone can learn it.
I became a Reiki Master in 2013. Absolutely love it.
I hope you continue with it. 🖤🖤

I'm trying different things that may be able to give me some relief. I will be going again for sure, I have nothing to lose 😊3 -

I had that happen. He hoarded me right out of the house and got emotionally abusive. We're still friends, but I'm much happier away from him.3 -
I would do sketchy stuff for a Snickers bar right now.5
