I don't know why anyone calls it pop, when labels clearly call them soda.
Sprite: Lemon-lime soda, Orange Fanta: Orange soda, etc. Do people who love to be wrong call cream soda "cream pop"?

    Shots fired

Lol. And don't even get me started about people calling everything "Coke."

Did you know in the south people call soda coke?

Went on a date to a movie theater, and my date asked me what I wanted to drink, I said a coke, they said what kind. Last date.

I'm living in Georgia and I haven't heard it yet. Admittedly, I don't get out much. But you know, people also used to call the world flat.

    Excellent point!

I call it all under the umbrella of pop but now I'll have to reconsider that. Also then is club soda unflavored pop?

This I really can't comprehend. Coke is Coke. Nothing else is Coke!!!

Well.... at least it's better then calling soda, pop.

Lots of the country appears to disagree....

Is that a list of all the countries that are wrong?

You call it supper, I call it pop. Who the *kitten* cares?

    Ohhhhh this should be fun

I dad and grandpa got in a very heated debate over supper about soda/pop one time

    *dons internet battle armor*

its just coke. its all coke.

"ay bro what kind of coke you want?"

"thanks man lemme get a pepsi"

also i don't call it dinner or supper tbh i usually just say "im gonna eat later" or "what ya'll wanna eat later" or something like that

Coke is coke....this is the most confusing thing I've ever heard. It was news to me until I learned that some people call every kind of pop coke.
So like Sprite and grape crush is coke?

    Just say "drink" instead.

I think it's cute when people say supper instead of dinner

    I say Tea ..

That's awesome! How do you differentiate between dinner (tea) and tea (the drink) I wonder?

    Breakfast - 7am.
    Second breakfast - 9 am.
    Elevenses - 11 am.
    Lunch - 1 pm.
    Afternoon tea - 3pm.
    Dinner (Tea) - 6 pm.
    Supper - 9 pm.

But if you call a meal "tea" how do you differentiate between eating "tea" and drinking it?

Open challenge to anyone to find a soft drink clearly labeled "pop" and anything other than products in the Coca-Cola family that have the word "coke" on it.

Isn't supper actually a different meal than dinner entirely, like before or after dinner...

Where I'm from, only rich people use supper... Everyone I know would accuse me of acting hoity toity if I said supper lol...

This is really interesting...I always equated the idea of 'dinner' with a wealthier, more cultured social set, whereas 'supper' always seemed more working-class to me.

Sometimes its just fizzy ..but if you were asking in the shop , of course its just lemonade, coke, sunkist, solo etc .
The word cordial on its own means the flavouring you put in water .. also referred to as (makeup cordial)
