Don't feel bad, English is my primary language and I still have no clue what most of them are...

Seriously, American English is weird. We have words, but we don't use them. We like to abbreviate everything into convenient tiny text, make up words when we already have words and half of the people here don't understand the other half even though we're all speaking the same language either due to accent, annunciation or slang.
