I’m a dirty old man. What can I say

I feel bad for the guy. I say much worse on a daily basis.

Too many friends being emotional about this approaching Mother's Sunday. Blended unions with "excited eruptions" over this, it's one day... Omg!

Come to Canada. It'll be like you're living in a nightmare unless you go to Quebec.

I think we belong together. You have no idea how many times a day I say "I'm sorry"

I’m afraid I’m stuck firmly in the center of the US. I can’t stop saying “ope” no matter how hard I try.

Ok, I am probably just dumb, but what is "ope" ?

Like when you bump into someone, it's a fill word, 'ope, sorry'

Ope, sorry  - been out hiking and just got back here. What others have said, though. Or when you need to get around someone who is blocking the aisle and say it instead of or along with “excuse me”, or instead of oops when you you drop something. It’s an endlessly useful dumb little sound we make out here on the prairie.

I sort of felt this intuitively but I never wanted to actually discuss my feelings on the matter because I didn't want anyone to think I was a preoccupied with this sort of thing.

But could you please tell us what sort of things you got away with and the personality profile of the individual(s) who allowed you to swan around town with them on a Tuesday and then forget to call on a Wednesday?

If only I was actually serious would I give you a serious answer......

So my intuition was WRONG? No sirree bub. I say you're large.

Well, I guess it's subjective. To some maybe.....however, I guess my lack of seriousness may be along the lines of me saying I get away with a lot. I do not, because I do not try to.....;)

Other, lesser-used terms include ‘dope’ in the Carolinas and ‘tonic’ in and around Boston, both fading in popularity. Other generic terms for soft drinks outside the US include ‘pop’ (Canada), ‘mineral’ (Ireland), ‘soft drink’ (New Zealand and Australia). The term ‘soft drink’, finally, arose to contrast said beverages with hard (i.e. alcoholic) drinks

I grew up calling it “pop”

I only knew it as “pop” for most of my childhood. I thought “soda” was the way Italians said it because I figured they didn’t know any better. Lol

Even the Romans called it soda. (don't look that up)

Did you think this because you can buy Italian Soda? :p

I think it's safe to say that 95% of the world calls it soda.

I'm part of the 5% who call it pop. :sunglasses:

So, my mother's boyfriend has been in ICU for almost a month on life support. The removed the tubes and conducted a Tracheostomy. So, my heart is breaking for my mom. We lost our baby sister last year on May 20th, and now she feels that she is about to loose him. Too much too soon.

So sorry. I hope he surprises her and recovers well.

I only shave when I’m going to compete. I don’t shave when I’m training. I just hate shaving my underarms the most. It is so uncomfortable.

Correct, but it DOES filter his last name, Dick Van *kitten*. Of Mary Poppins fame.

Plus once it didn't let me say *kitten* so I had to spell it scroetum.

It wouldn’t let @Clever_User_Name use the word *kitten* either when commenting on a picture of mine that had a rooster in the background.
