    Good morning. Happy Tuesday. I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas/Holidays. My holiday started out with a swollen ankle. I was at the emergency on Friday afternoon. I wore some new boots that had a belt around the ankle part and I never adjusted it. Then I walked all over town with them and my feet were hurting by the end of the evening. You all know how it is to break in new boots/shoes. I feel better today. I did stay off of it for most of the weekend and the swelling went down with meds. Today I plan on taking it easy. I will go to the gym and see if the spinning class doesnt aggrevate it. No standing for me. Just sitting and spinning.

    I had sugar over the holidays and what a remarkable weight gain for me. So back to my no sugar. I like results not set backs. Sometimes we have to have a setback in order to have a comeback.

    Catching up from the holiday weekend. I was able to do quite a bit of walking, and actually a bit surprised at the distance walked in the three airports this weekend...but happy to log it. Looks like some great weather at home to get some paddling in tomorrow and maybe Thursday!! So looking forward to getting some water miles in after being nearly constantly cold up in VA all weekend.

    I did take it easy at the gym yesterday. I told my teacher and I was able to sit for 1/2 on the spinner. I wanted to go to the gym today and they sent the members a email saying no hot water. That will not work for me. I need hot water after a workout. I can visit another location but that is like all the way over on the other side of town and by the time I get there my lunch hour will be over. I will just walk around and check out the stores and see what they are trying to give away after the holidays.

    Looking forward to the next challenge for 2017. Count me in. YEA!!!!!

    I just looked up # of step to miles, and I'm so impressed with all you folks doing 10K steps a day (averages to 4-5 miles)...which means you are getting in about 124-155 miles per month! That's pretty amazing! Well done all of you!
