24 Hours of Exercise per Month Challenge - December 2016

Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for December. Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!

The goal is to accomplish at least 24 hours of exercise during the month of December. Any type of activity that you log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training).

And for you hosses and hossettes out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal. And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).

There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.

    Hi! I want to join please. I really want to get motivated to exercise this month. I've been idle for a month already. My goal is 24 hours as in the title. I will start today, Dec 1. I will post again later for update. It is still morning in our place and I can only exercise at night while my son is sleeping.

    This is awesome :) and exactly what I need right now! I'm in week 5 of couch to 5k run training, and I've been trying to figure out what to do on rest days. This will give me an extra push to find something.

    Haven't tallied my total exercise bedore, so I'll keep the 24 hour mark as my goal and see how it goes.

    I'll read through November's thread to see how things progress through the month. Thank you for organising this!

    Welcome to the fun @maicap22, @pdo27789, and @tigernikki! I can't take credit for this thread. It was started long ago by others, and over time various folks restart the thread monthly. I'm just the lucky one to get to post it this month, but it has become one of my favorite challenges, so happy to continue it.

    BTW, 24 hours doesn't sound like much, but it's essentially an hour of working out for 6 days over 4 weeks, which is a good amount of activity. It can be easy to fall behind if you don't strive for at least an hour most days. But you can do it!!

    1 December: 125 min SUP (5.25 miles); 18 min Load/unload Board; 3 min Planks (3 x 60 sec - straight arm) = 146 minutes

    Total: 146 minutes out of 2160 minutes (36 hours)
