For anyone in the UK who feels as if they're missing out here, I'm thinking about introducing the Pot Noodle Diet. (Takes me straight back to my student days).

    iyn3jrkxi4i6.jpg

I'm in! I haven't had a Pot Noodle in years, but back when I lived in the UK I think I ate one almost every day.

My sister and I also ever used milk or butter when making Kraft dinner. We didn't use water either, just drain the noodles and add the cheese powder. It would solidify pretty nicely, lol! My husband adds butter and milk and it's too weird for me. Way too loose for my liking.

No not at all. I post pictures on my Facebook of everything I eat. Not trolling. No time for that.

This app has an ignore button
    Facebook you can unfriend

Both platforms are flexible, just like the easy mac diet.

Haha I'm just a grumpy old cow today

I really don't get it either. I don't hash tag anything

Lol. Don't your friends get bored with your pictures of Mac and cheese

I tend to unfollow (not unfriend) people who post delicious food constantly. The only food porn I allow on my feed is Daym Drops.

Easy Mac...I thought you might be interested...

DIY Easy Mac from Kraft blue box

Pour 1/4 cup of noodles into a large microwave safe mug

    Add 1/2 cup water

    Microwave 3 minutes

    Stir

Microwave 2 more minutes, then drain. The mug will be really hot, so please don’t let your toddler(or your dog) help take it out of the microwave!

Measure out 2.5 teaspoons of the Kraft cheese, pour on top of the drained noodles

    Add 1 tablespoon of milk

    *Add 1/8 TBL butter

    *Optional

This idea could save you tons of money...

I take it you're speaking from experience... in both cases

I actually do something similar (just with a higher quality cheese) for lazy work lunches. It's not bad for being lazy.

Nope...never had one of those Easy Macs...and it has been a long time (many many years) since I have had a regular box of mac and cheese. I can't do those types of foods because of the sodium content.

I see nothing wrong actually with someone including it in their diet...maybe just not so much of it. I think it would be a great option however for say like someone in college or even someone that longs for the college dorm life.

However...many years since I had a toddler...but my last dog would have been glad to get that mug out of the microwave even if it meant burning his tongue. He was a bit on the lazy side until it came to sneaking food off of the kitchen counter then he seemed to have this burst of adrenaline...strength and power beyond belief. I had 2lbs of chicken sitting on the counter...went to get something out of the bedroom...gone maybe 2 or 3 minutes...came back...every little sign of that chicken had disappeared...even the container had been licked clean. I have no doubt that he would have been thrilled to have some of that Easy Mac.

Okay Easy Mac...Cost per serving depends on how much you pay for the box. At my store it sells for .88. Each box has 3 servings of 70g. Slightly more than your Easy Mac at 58g.

Now in case you find yourself stranded in the middle of the jungle...

    http://www.thesodacanstove.com/trail-foods/mac-n-cheese/

Okay...this would cost a little up front but in the end you would come out cheaper. Just make your own little meals that all you have to do is stick in the microwave. Take a container with your pasta and a little snack sized ziploc with the rest. Cook pasta according to the directions I already gave you then add powdered stuff...stir and lose weight...maybe.

Barilla Pasta, Elbow, 16 Ounce (Pack of 16)

Powdered Cheddar Cheese (this is the same stuff that Kraft uses) I use it on my popcorn

    Powdered Butter

Powdered Milk (you might can find it cheaper ???)

My dog and the two cats work together to clean up the kitchen counter... That dog takes lazy to a new level but also has that amazing burst of speed where food is concerned. It did NOT like the prepared chicken breast I left out for it. Who would have thought that dogs don't like garlic stuffed chicken when it's raw... :innocent:

Even if he is I would say he is fairly harmless. He has at least provided a little entertainment for us.

Easy Mac (at least in my opinion) is better than one of the 100 daily threads about sugar...or that evil white food...that seems to fill this place up.

The Easy Mac thread reminds me of a thread a few months ago about some guys container diet...it was pretty weird too.

It's entertaining. What more can you want out of a Mac&Cheese thread?

    Don't fight the feeling.

I don't see this thread as ridiculous as those worked up over 52% carbs vs 48% like they are entering a bodybuilding competition.

LOL. Yes Mr. Easy Mac, hopefully us unsophisticated rabble will someday develop a morally superior taste for virtuous and respectable food choices. Until then, we will have to wallow in this lowbrow fare. So sad

@brewerfan13 Have you ever tried the Velveeta version? I know you started your hashtagged diet because you had a bargains worth of Easy Mac, but I was curious if you had an opinion on other options? I had always been a Kraft girl growing up, but I recently tried the Velveeta version and was impressed. I may have to do a side-by-side taste test.

Yes I enjoy the Velveeta very much. Especially with some A1 and bacon bits.

However the convenience of Easy Mac (water/microwave) is making this real simple for me. It took me longer to pack my sons school lunch this morning that it did to whip up my breakfast.

I can't eat wheat due to an autoimmune disorder, but I was able to find this. Not as easy as Easy Mac, but it actually had protein, a little calcium and a decent amount of vitamin B6 in it. Tastes pretty good, too. Now everyone can join the mac n cheese diet revolution!

I have celiac. This is what I eat when I want quick and dirty boxed mac and cheese. It has a lot of protein:

Dinner - Easy Mac with a dash of Sprout's seasoning, a few pieces of teriyaki chicken (not breaded) and a couple hot banana pepper rings. I'm going to finish off the chicken for breakfast as I'm feeling kinda full tonight. #easymac

Easy Mac day #10 in the books. I felt full and somewhat bloated ever since lunch (which was delicious). It was difficult to count calories today as I was eating foods provided and therefore I was not able to see the label. I'm being conservative at saying 1410 calories consumed. Had a good workout tonight. 21 laps on the indoor track alternating laps carrying a 25lb weight. Then I did 15 minutes of LIT cardio hanging out in the Sauna. Another great day the Easy Mac way!!
