It's like turning on a light switch.
I'll keep you posted if thinner me get more attention. I'm guessing yes.
Wow..thnx
I just meant a lot of times it's presentation.
Doesn't have as much to do with your actual level of attractiveness as a lot of people think.
In my opinion, presentation is more important than your level of attractiveness.7 -
Uhh... I don't know if I'd say attractive but I look happier I think..

I didn't, but I was never attractive to begin with.
Some people can go from Zero to Hero/Heroine with weight loss because it changes how they view themselves (self-confidence, I guess) and/or it changes other peoples' perception of said Hero/Heroine.7 -
I like bigger dudes, I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Nonetheless, it's what's inside that counts. I don't think I'd kick my fella out if bed if he changed.7

@Look_Its_Kriss that's why I made this thread to motivate other people to exercise and my self too. But I think some people didn't understand the idea behind this thread!!2

SMH. I can't even.16 -
Look_Its_Kriss wrote: »Motivating someone to exercise to lose weight in hopes of finally becoming attractive is absolutely heart breaking to me. Any person Before, during and after is attractive because of the reasons outside of their weight, because they are good, honest, loving human being who would give the shirt of their back for someone they care about. They are a person who can give love and accept someone else for who they are regardless of their size. They have a great personality and can make someones day simply by existing and the people who have had the pleasure of meeting these people are incredibly thankful to have them in their lives.
I spent 29 years of my life being told i was a waste of life because i was fat.. i was not a waste of life, i was not ugly and i didn't become attractive after i lost weight, i was always attractive..
This thread really breaks my heart.
Maybe i am over reacting, but i feel like there are betters ways to motivate.
Wait! Don't get upset. Its not meant for breaking someone's heart!! Sorry if my thread hurts you.2 -

No, you made this thread to ask if people had experienced something that you heard about. The general answer is, "no", you don't suddenly become attractive when you lose fat. As @Look_Its_Kriss says, the notion of losing weight just to "be beautiful" is ridiculous as looks are just one small aspect to a greater whole. If people start treating you any differently after your weight loss journey, this is not necessarily a good thing, you know?10 -

IMHO, this is not the reason you made you this thread.. in observing ALL the responses, if you wanted to motivate others to exercise including yourself, you should have started with "what motivates you to exercise".
If you are trying to motivate others to exercise including yourself to be pretty or attractive, this is the wrong reason a person should exercise.. ever heard that exercise is good for your health and maintaining your weight?
this thread too, made me a little sad..10 -
Not sure about more attractive... just not as blobby!
Now down to 124lbs.34 -
WOW what a question - I'm sure it's going to open a firestorm however here is my thoughts. Do they become more attractive???? Yes I think they do BUT look at the difference in the photos. In the before they usually look miserable, don't really smile, wear clothes to hide in and appear to be trying to shrink away from the camera. In the after, they have (usually) huge smiles, have dressed in really cute clothes, stand with pride and obviously feel better about themselves. THAT is what makes them more attractive - the confidence and how they present themselves.22

My impression was the OP is hoping for reassurance that he will become more attractive after losing weight.16

I think Op meant well.
I kind of feel bad for him right now, but that's because I'm codependent.
I think he's coming from a different cultural mindset. I'm going to take a stab at it and guess he's from India. (Sorry if I'm wrong.) If he had grown up in a western country then he might have picked different words to conform better.
And... I'm going to be honest. Part of the reason I'm losing weight is so I can be more attractive! I think I'm fairly attractive currently... (with makeup, haha). And I have grander, more honorable goals of being healthy and fit, but I'd also like to enjoy a picture of myself in a group of friends.28 -
