So my goal is to be 175-180lbs. I want to get back in soccer shape but my major goal is keep up with my two kids. I want to feel comfortable this summer . Sounds stupid I know. But I hate wearing a shirt to the pool. You know typical stuff. Is there anything you do at night if you have food cravings?
I usually grab some raw vegetables at night if I'm hungry. Hardly any calories, make you full fast and great fiber and viatamins4 -
5'5" here and been weight lifting for over year. back on MFP. Happy to friend for support.3

I'm 5' 1 1/2" and currently 140. I was 180 but got down to 127 a year ago. That weight likes to creep back on. I've realized I have to log my meals - probably from here on out. Us shorties just don't have much wiggle room. Feel free to add me. I'm happy to provide some encouragement and I need support too!5

How did you loose it , if you don't mind me asking?0 -
5'3"and 140lbs. Starting weight was 208. Goal is 125 lbs and fit. I'm fine being curvy and a little muscular, but I just want to be a little less squishy in spots. I get a lot of the "don't lose anymore" talks, especially from my family, but I'm learning not to let it get to me. Last time I did I slacked off and gained 7 lbs. I just got that off.
Sending you a request.7 -

I'm 5'2(and a half) it counts!! Anyways I'm 22 years old and a mom to a beautiful little 2 years old and trying to become more healthy. I have never been "skinny" . I have always since i remember been "curvy" . Everyone always says "oh your so big boned" or "your so thick" "you'll never be skinny". I want to prove everyone wrong and become "fit" not "skinny" . my starting weight was 181. I finally am now down to 166. I gained 6 pounds in water weight yesterday, and lost 2 so im at 170 until this excess water weight will go down. Us short girls have so much of a harder time loosing weight than taller girls do.
If any of you fellow shorties would like to add me for motivation and support that would be great. I'm at day#50 and i would never want to go back.

Hey, I'm 5'2.5" too!! That extra half inch totally counts!!!
I started at 212 and now I'm maintaining between 122-127 (that's the maintenance range I gave myself). I was always overweight and "curvy" as well. Now, people call me "tiny" which is so bizarre! I'm also in awesome shape, thanks to lifting! Sometimes maintenance kind of sucks as a short girl, because my maintenance calories are lower than I would like them to be. But increasing my activity level helps so I can eat more, plus the added benefit of just being more fit.
Good luck! You can do it!

I'm a little over 5'. Started in the 230s (good God!) and now 120. My goal was 125, but am continuing to lose as I feel I should. I saw 118 a couple times but keep bouncing up. I think I should weigh 105ish. Will know when I get there.
How'd I do it? Like someone else said, I also net 1000-1200 calories. Any more than that and I stall. When you're little and close to goal, there is no wiggle room for error, so I am pretty strict now and weigh / measure everything so I am as accurate as I can be.
Don't listen to others when it comes to your weight. As others have said: 5 pounds on me is awful whereas it may be barely noticeable on someone several inches taller. I haven't looked at the BMI chart in a while, but the range seems bizarre to me. I think for my height it's 99-127 lbs is "normal." Nearly 30 lbs? Anyway, you have to stop losing when it's right to you.14 -
I'm part of the shorty category at 5'2", my starting weight was 162 and I'm currently 136 pounds. My goal weight is 130 and then I'll start toning up! Feel free to add me, I sent you a request2

I'm working on being stricter and not getting set back on weekends - do you mind me asking what your average loss is when you stay strict?

5'4" here! I started just a week ago weighing 217.6 lbs...I would like to get down to 130-135 (or a size 4/6). I weighed 125-130 and was a size 2/3 all through high school. I got married young and started having kids at 22 and by 25 I was close to 165 lbs...then had my last baby at 29 and have gone up and up from there. I feel like I finally have the mental mindset to LOSE THE WEIGHT!12

Need to lose my belly pooch its been real hard after I had the kids. I have lost 23 pounds in all since last year. This year has been going so much better super motivated mfp app helps tremendously. Would love to follow all of the ladys to their journey. We got this2 -
I am 5'. My starting weight was 142, I am down to 138 now. My first goal is 125, which would put me in healthy BMI range. After that I may try to go for 110-115. I don't want to be too thin though. I was the 99lb girl who every one told to "eat a cheeseburger" for years and years. I was 117 lbs at nine months pregnant, if that gives you any idea.
I gained all of the weight after a few significant life altering events. I carry most of my weight in my face and tummy - which is an esteem killer. I have started taking lots of vitamins (B12, D, and multi) and tracking my food on here. I have a hard time getting to 1000 calories every day, but I make myself. Also, I have a set bedtime, and got a 32oz mug to drink water from. (two big mugs is easier than 8 small glasses) If anyone wants to add me, feel free. I only have my sister and fiance as friends.6 -
Hi! I'm 5'1" and have about 80 lbs left to lose...I am currently down 7 lbs.
SW: 220
CW: 212.2
GW: 130-135 or just feeling fit and healthy and good about myself!
I have been at a lot of weight ranges...about 6 years ago I was down to about 95 lbs on a very restricted and unhealthy diet...my first few years of college I turned my attitude around, got educated, and was in a really great place with my health and fitness...last few years of college I got lazy and gained a good amount of weight...I lost 30 lbs for my wedding...now almost 3 years later I have gained that back plus some.
My husband and I decided to make a big life change and get healthy for ourselves and our future family. I am doing lower carb/higher fat & protein, it's what makes me feel best, I have workout videos (21 Day Fix) and I go to the gym (Pound and Spin) - my goal is to work out 4-5 times a week and stay active in general! I would love to get to know some ladies who are as vertically challenged as I am!8 -
5'3 here. I started at 234 and am currently at 208. I definitely try to ignore people that say I'm good. That was my issue before. i became comfortable due to the feedback I was getting, even though I was 189. This time I'm going to accept the compliments and keep working. I'm a pear and my stomach tends to be flatter, but even at 189 i was obese so...
People can add me! I'm semi new but have started inputting my foods.6 -
5'3" here. Started at 232 the end of December, and currently I am at 214. I would like to end up somewhere around 140. Right now I am focusing on portion control, making better choices, and trying to get some activity in every day! Feel free to add me4

I'm a pear as well so our bodies are more porportianate. So when we loose weight it is a little more dramatic because we tend to look thinner in our stomachs and upper bodies. It's frustrating because your weight never really reflects what it looks like on you and in the mirror.1
