Note to self: more squats. Thanks OP!0

I have been walking for about 4 months and do squats (not even heavy 65-75#) for about 2 months and notice that I actually have an *kitten* that sits on top of my thighs, not a big, lumpy pillow that starts at my waist and end 1/2 down to my knees.0

stairs
squats
deadlifts
stretching
pilates & yoga
walking on incline
caloric deficit for months
and a partridge in a pear tree
BTW Chelle thanks for the unexpected NSV I got out of your thread. I'd had a pair of pants sitting on the chair that I'd been trying on daily to try to get into since I was so close to fitting them. As I rifled through my clean laundry pants in search of something form fitting enough to see my butt in, I realized ALL my pants are too loose? Or at least all my clean ones. I had some shorts that would show it but they were in the laundry. So all of a sudden I was like..."I wonder if those pants will finally fit?" And they did!
Congrats again Chelle, this thread was great to focus just on your changes in that area. Thanks for being brave you made me a little bit more so today. You made me a lot bit happy though with the smaller pants NSV. I will now proceed to wear these to death until I can't wear them anymore and have to dig some even smaller pants/shorts out of hiding. I already know which ones and I can't effing wait!0 -

High five on the smaller pants, and may I say you are filling those out very very nicely. So nice in fact I quoted it so it could be seen by everyone again.0 -

Does anyone know if bodyweight squats/lunges/etc will build me an Azz, or does it have to be heavy lifting?
Body weights are effective but it's important to make sure you progress via harder moves, pauses, and elevation to continue to challenge yourself. I do body weight things 2/3 days a week (started 4 weeks ago or so, so I can confidently say most of my body changes are via heavy lifting.) mostly to help with my flexibility. I'm using Body By You/You are Your Own Gym as a guide.
^^^ This. I do Body by You but I just read this article by the Glute Guy, at the bottom there is a video with at home booty firming exercises. http://bretcontreras.com/glute-secrets/0 -

Interesting. Adding to my list of "Butt workouts to rec to people who don't have access to weights." Which is an actualy list, saved to my computer. I take butts very seriously.0 -
Oh man! Well done! And nice *kitten*!0

These are my before and afters. This was done with a calorie restriction (9 lbs between the two pics) and mainly a regimen of body weight quats and lunges. I've only been doing weighted squats for the past two weeks and can't wait to see the difference after doing that for a while.
Everyone, you all look great! Love the beautiful booties!

I have not been brave enough to post undie pics before, but squat booties are too important!
I apologize for my extreme pastiness which makes some pictures difficult to read.
First picture is February 2013 after loosing about 20 lbs with running as my only exercise.
Since then I have been lifting with much less cardio and recently none at all (taking a break due to injury.) I've not got up to lifting really heavy yet but just hit 100 lb. on my squats before I had to take a break from that, too.
Not a huge difference but the booty is definitely tighter and higher and there is better distinction between the booty and thigh instead of that gradual slide.0 -
Some amazing booties here!
May 2012 around 185 pounds, and 6 months into heavy lifting :
Taken last night at 157 pounds :

@Brower: I kind of want to bite your butt. Is that weird?
@Kimmy: Looking very nice, and I like your description of the change that's taken place. it's sometimes hard to explain (beyond using the words 'lifted' and 'risen' over and over) Reduction in the "gradual slide" is going into my lexicon.
@Wobbs: That's a serious booty right there, and very much moving onward and upward! Also super cute bikini bottoms.
And now for some outside booty action!

Good timing for the post, I have been stressing a bit as I am struggling to pull some pants up over my butt now and my hips are still up an inch on what I would like them to be. My butt is solid though. Squat just slightly and it is rock solid. Nothing to pinch off it. And yes, it has lifted. I cycle up hills a lot as well as squats. It has not taken long for the shape to change, in my case. But... I have not adjusted to it yet, as in the past I had a fairly flat butt that I had no issues pulling my jeans up over, lol.0
