1) LPN at the largest asthma and allergy practice in the US and love it!
2) Home care nurse for a pt suffering from traumatic brain injury, tough sometimes but great family to work for!
For those of us whose jobs are being forever protrayed on TV(MD, nurse, police officer, firefighter or paramedic in particular) the public's expectations of what we do will never match the actual job description...fortunately the portrayals are more exciting and less than accurate than our daily grind, because who wants to see an enema being given for the constipated person who shows up in the ER, or the person who pulls over when they see the lights in the rear view and just talks to the cop, or the doctor who states that they have run all the tests they can and there is no reason that they can figure out for the ________(insert condition here).
We all know what we do is importan. Yes it is sometimes thankless, often stressful and underappreciated but I know in the end I do it for my own self satisfaction of knowing that the job was done right because I was the one that did it.
To those current and former servicemembers thank you all for your service(from a former US Navy corpsman)!:drinker:0 -
I'm an internal auditor. I hate it...so much. I'm a CPA with a double master's but I'm thinking about going back to school to be a dietitian. I kind of hope I find my groove with this before I completely switch though. Ugh. I dunno.0

Do I love it? Love is a strong word. I love the pay. Does that count? It is a very stressful job. I am currently working on not giving a crap and just doing what I can and not letting it be so stressful. However, this is just not in my nature and am having a real hard time just not hulk smashing my computers and everything else...0 -

I'm a newspaper reporter, and I like it...for the most part. My job requires I deal with all sorts of personalities and sometimes I enjoy it very much, other times I want to pull out my hair or I have to stop myself from smacking ppl. It has it's ups and downs like any career, I guess. I do enjoy it more that I'm allowed to work from home, really, it makes it harder for "complainers" to track me down and yell at me. LOL0

I am a fundraiser for higher education. I have been raising money for 22 years. I love my job because I get to hang out with generous nice people who want to help students. It is long hours and it is hard to spend 10 hours a day with very wealthy people -- you start wondering, why am I making about 1/10th of what this person makes? We both are smart, went to good schools, creative, etc. It is kinda like hanging out with fitness models all day and feeling fat even when you are in decent shape...
Ideally, I would like to be a CEO of a family foundation and be on the other side of the desk for a little while.0 -
