Good morning and happy Tuesday! A quick post because I have to get on my work grind. As I stated in a previous post we are under a very tight deadline. I decided to workout at the gym today instead of w/a dvd. I completed 20 min on the treadmill and 20 min on the elliptical. It's amazing how you can lose things if you've not done it in a while. Running on the treadmill was very difficult today so I know it's going to take a minute to rebuild my endurance.
  • good morning ladies just a quick hello, before i get my workout in. TOM will be paying me a visit soon, because he's starting the symptoms. besides i have a major cold, but i'm not letting that or TOM beat me up. lol. plus i'm going for a walk later. i walk at a either of the the three parks. i like walking around this one park it's peaceful and hilly.

Choco - Thanks for clarifying the insanity workout. My knees have recently recovered from tendinitis, so I should probably avoid that workout. Sounds like fun though!

I kept to my plan today. Woke up at 5 am, did 40 minutes of exercise and jumped in the shower. I got out of the house on time, and felt great all day. Those kindergartners are soooo cute. Only one crier today. That's pretty good!

I didn't eat before my workout, and was really dragging through it. Then I took my vitamins on an empty stomach - BIG mistake. So I'll need to eat a little something before I work out. Any suggestions?
  • hi ladies, i have a terrible cold, TOM is paying me visit soon, plus i hit my eye on the trendmill, while i was putting our little dog in his cage because the ups was coming. which is my stupidity. i just feel terrible.
  • good morning ladies, even though i still have a cold i still did about an hour of very low impact workout. good luck everyone.

    hi ladies!
its been a little while. I haven't given up...rather i'm feeling quite confident in my progress and haven't felt the need (as i sometimes get obsessive) to check out my food/exercise online. i have still been logging it in, but i needed a little break.

after completing my Half Marathon Aug 28th, we went on a week long vacation. it wasn't a full vacation, as I was mostly traveling for business for a few days, but it was fun to get a few days off and enjoy Salt Lake City, Utah. There is a lot more there than in my little town. I was also able to see my sister and brother who are attending college, and my sister who lives in Las Vegas came up for the weekend. It was a fun sibling get-together. We tried to make as much food as we could, but with that many people it was easier to go out to eat. My food choices were mostly healthy. My husband and I took the opportunity to view the beautiful sights by jogging/running. One day we ran up into the canyon and were able to see some beautiful water falls, it was a nice 7 mile run...no headphones, no heart rate monitor (i become obsessive with that thing sometimes!). Just me and my husband and our running shoes hitting the trails. It was so fun!

I'm starting ChaLean Extreme again next week. I'm going to start where I left off 2 weeks ago and start with week 3 of the Burn Phase. I did a full month of the Burn Phase when I was doing my half marathon training, so I figured it won't be too bad to only do 2 weeks. I am excited. I'm also looking for a new winter purchase for exercising. Either Turbo Fire or Insanity. I'm trying to figure out which one would be gentler on my elbows. I know it sounds weird, my elbows, but after years of volleyball, fastpitch softball (pitcher) and being all around athletic... I've had some issues with the nerves in my elbows. I can only do so many pushups before my arm literally gives up and goes numb and pain from my nerves shoots through my arm. I can't even do any tricep pushups on the floor for that reason. Its weird. I can do tricep bench-ups, but not pushups. Weird.

Anyways, so glad to hear you are all still doing well! I hope to keep in touch more frequent!

Good morning and happy Friday! Today I completed the Burn It Off dvd from the Chalean Extreme program. I took a quick break at work in order to post but have to get back to it so I hope to catch up with everyone over the weekend.

    Morning all
    Hope everyone is well.
This week I am challenging myself to run and swim three times each (the last few weeks I haven't really been keeping up with it)
Last week before I go back up to uni and I'm really hoping SOMEONE notices my weightloss when i get there as meeting up with friends at home has been mildly depressing as none of them notice. So I won't hold my breath ha ha.

    Hi everyone -
I've been a bit lax over the past couple of days due to the Jewish New Year celebration. I cooked for both nights, and prepared healthy food, but I didn't have time to exercise with all of the preparation. I'm planning to get on my bike later this morning, and have a long, invigorating ride.

This week is my first full week of school. I'm spending lots of time preparing for my lessons, as I have new responsibilities this year. I intend to stay a bit late each afternoon to set up materials for the next day, so I can have time outside of school to exercise, plan meals, and care for my family. I'll get to bed early and wake up at 5 am to exercise before school.

    Wish me luck!

Lu, I'm sure your university friends will notice your weight loss. Your friends at home have witnessed a gradual change, so it may not be so obvious to them. Your friends, who have not seen you for a while, will see the difference.

Today I was feeling very fatigued. I really think this work deadline is slowly beating me down. I'm getting up at 5 am every morning to get the workout complete and head to work and then i'm working 12 hour days. Since my back continues to hurt and i was extremely tired I decided to take it easy. I walked 25 minutes around my subdivision.

Yay did my run today and was great. need some new music for it though... any suggestions?

laniv: 5am! Wow thats early, good on you!

Chocolickkyss: ooo hope your back gets better soon. Taking it easy sounds like the best idea. I hurt my knee a couple of weeks ago and had to decrease my exercise which i absolutely HATED! But i think overall It was smart to take it easy as my knee is better now

Good afternoon all! Today is my rest day so once again I kept it light. I completed 2 miles of the Leslie Sansone Fat Burning Walk dvd. I held 3 lb weights in each hand and used my thigh toner to make it higher impact. In addition to completing my workout, I washed, conditioned and styled my hair, ironed my clothes for the week and did some work from the job. Now I'm going to chill out and enjoy the first week of football season.

Lu: Thank for the support. I have arthritis in my lower back and in one of my knees so I definitely have my days. I agree that it's hard to take it easy but it makes sense b/c if we go hard and really injure ourselves then we would be out of commission a lot longer. I'm glad your knee is feeling better.

Good evening ladies! I have just finished working (had to bring work home) and am exhausted but have to get up at 5 am in order to get tomorrow's workout in. Today is week 1 day 2 of the Push Circuit of the Chalean Extreme program. Since today is considered a rest day in the program I decided to do a little cardio instead. I completed Turbo Jam Fat Blaster.
  • hi ladies, i'm so sorry but i haven't be doing that great. i've been hurting really bad. but i'm back into starting it today even though, i'm still hurting. i went to a chiropractor thrusday and everything on my right side was messed up and plus i fell yesterday and i'm sore today, but i did about 30 min of a workout and painted alittle bit and i'm going for a walk. i'll be on here more often now since i'm back into the grind, slowly.

Good morning everyone! Please know I am with the group in spirit and committment but this work deadline is beating me down. I'm on the computer so much with work that I don't even want to look at one once I'm through for the day. I usually try to log on first thing in the morning to at least document my exercise but don't usually have enough time to read the thread. Please charge my absence to my body/job responsibilities and not my heart. I soooooo can't wait to have a few weeks of working from home.

Anyway, yesterday I completed the Fat Blaster dvd from the Turbo Jam program and today I completed the Burn It Off dvd.
