What 'healthy' foods did you ultimately give up on?

I quit eating the low fat alternatives, after I started reading labels I noticed that most of those low fat options are loaded with added sugar.17

Quinoa, I hate it in every form I have tried. Also flax seeds, avocado, green powders, halo top ice cream, and frozen yogurt.4

Kale. I despise it. When I'm out to restaurants I usually get it and every time it's a huge regret but forces me to eat it since it's being paid for (huge believer in not wasting anything, especially money, LOL). Also, anything with chia seeds or quinoa. Just no. So gross.5

Chia seeds
Protein powder/bars
Brown rice
Plain Greek yogurt
Getting so tired of frozen veggies and chicken breasts too sadly (might be why it's much harder to keep a deficit).
Might have to put Halo Top on that list soon.2 -
Kale. It always tasted so strange but I can deal if it's hidden.0

chia and flax seeds, whole wheat pasta, cauliflower crust pizza, halo top ice cream, kale, fat free anything1

I hate sweet potatoes! Won't eat them, yuk!5
-
Alfalfa sprouts and all the other sprout varieties.
Almond Butter! I LOVE PB, I tried to eat almond butter for variety, but every time I had it I just choked it down wishing it was PB, so I thought why?
Beans of any kind. I keep wanting to like black beans, but it's not happening.2 -
All the ones I didn't like.1

Do you have any foods that you started eating when you started your weight loss efforts because you thought that they were 'healthy' or helpful but then ultimately abandoned once you realized that you didn't really have to eat any specific kinds of food to lose weight?
For me:
Carrot sticks (I struggled with raw carrots and the carrots won)
Brown rice (especially when I learned that it's not all that much healthier than white)
Sweet potatoes (just give me a good old russet or yukon gold instead)
Packaged breakfast bars (I realized that I'd rather take 10 minutes and make an egg sandwich for not that many additional calories)
Ironically, there's not much difference nutritionally speaking between a sweet potato and regular potato either...not sure why the sweet potato is such a darling. I like them from time to time, but much prefer a regular baked potato most of the time. The nutritional difference is negligible at best...11 -
I am so sick of oatmeal. I've given up on it for the time being. I decided to make healthy breakfast burritos and have one with fruit in the mornings.2

Sweet potatoes.
Chicken (when I cook it myself).
BCAA's.2 -
This hasn't really been any one big thing for me, but I tried to learn to like a few meat substitutes and ultimately said forget it. Seitan, tempeh, Boca burgers, Gardein "chicken" and the like. gag. I'd rather just have beans, lentils, or more veggies instead of those! Seitan is the worst to me. I've tried it several ways. Just no.
I really do like tofu, Morningstar veggie patties, and TVP, though!
(I'm not vegetarian or vegan, maybe "flexitarian" which I think sounds silly...but my husband is pescetarian and cooks all of our meals)
Early in my years on MFP, I made an effort to eat WAY more salads. I don't really love salad, it's just okay. Now I'm more likely to just eat a ton of different vegetables (different ways) than putting them together raw in a salad.

I used to juice like crazy! I loved it while I did it, I even blogged about it! Lol! But then one day, bam! I had enough! I never juiced again.
Also, I tried the vinegar-cayenne pepper-water mixture and I HATED it. Yuck!

Kale. Kale is the most vile and disgusting tasting thing I ever intentionally and voluntarily put in my mouth.
Beets. I've tried them every way possible but unless I buy prepared beet chips ( which I think are quite delicious) I can't figure out what people are talking about when they say beets are sweet. Because to me they taste like mud. Not even good mud, but like sewer sludge mud.
On the flip side, because of the healthy reputation, I have added baby spinach and fennel to my regular diet. Yumm.5 -
Courgette spaghetti. Not worth it.6

1. Liver (unfortunately because it has such an awesome nutrition profile!)
2. Kale and rocket. Love spinach raw or cooked but cannot stomach either of these!
One that actually I used to hate but have come to enjoy over time is avocado! I seriously used to dispise it but over time I've been slowly incorporating it to up my fats and now I have it a few times a week1 -

My husband is British and he detests kidney anything...but he will eat the steak.Kale. It always tasted so strange but I can deal if it's hidden.
My husband goes into a major rant "It's a weed. It grows by the roadside so it's full of toxic fumes, a badger pissed on it (well they do! they don't have toilets), you should put f---ing Roundup on it, not balsamic vinegar! It's got chlorophyll and f--- all else"
One nearby restaurant adds kale to mac 'n' cheese. uh what?8 -
yogurt, celery, kale, sweet potatoes, turkey bacon1
