9/16 141.5 no exercise, over by about 750 calories! After a year of doing great with logging most of the time, I am suddenly having days of just not wanting to do it anymore. I need to get back on track. It's stress-related I think. Both work and home have been extra challenging lately. Also, I just miss eating what I want, when I want. My weight is fine for me I know. I have a very large frame, so 140 looks pretty thin on me. Maybe it's time for me to just focus on maintaining at this weight, instead of getting to the magical 135 number that I set in my brain?? I'm 5'6 and wearing mostly a size 4, some 6, and mostly size small. Maybe I am just trying to get to too low of a weight for me? I have my daily goal set at 1300. When I do the elliptical, I add 350 calories (my machine says that I am burning about 530 calories, but I doubt it's that high). I just don't want to start putting weight back on. I started at 193 pounds about 13 1/2 months ago. I don't ever want to go there again. I think being 47 (probably nearing menopause) with TOM happening every 3 1/2 weeks now, my cravings for junk are getting intense the week before. I can tell it's about to start, and all I want is to eat.
I understand where you are coming from. I have a very large bone structure and am 5'6" also. There is absolutely no way that I will shoot for a weight as low as 135. I have been that weight before. It was at a very stressful time in my life and everyone kept telling me I was too thin.
I also hear you on the food logging. It gets to be a drag after a while. Why don't you try not logging for a week, but instead just plan your food for the day on a piece of paper so you know roughly what you are going to eat. Leave it in a place you can see it to remind you. Then, eventually you don't even need to do that and you'll have food freedom.1 -

Started R6 @ 177.1
First Goal: 170 ✔️
Next Goal: 159 ... At a slow rate
End of R15 - 158.8
Goals Try and maintain while SO is here and start running outside again (it should be getting cooler)
9/10 - 162.6
9/11 - 163.3 Well SO has arrived we spent the whole weekend siting and have dinners and luncheons etc. Which I knew was coming. I didn't eat 15,750 extra calories in 2 days so I'm ok with these numbers. Today is another get together and then he's gone again on Wednesday and hopefully I can get back on full track. Only thing I'm kind of disappointed about is I didn't hit my step goals (too much time in the car) What I have learned is enjoy these days celebrate within reason and then get back to it. As long as I don't throw in the towel and give up I'll be fine.
9/12 - 163.6 Way less moving and lunch out also snacked on a few Jelly Bellies (excessively)
9/13 - 165.1 ...... I've got this, just watch me!!
9/14 - 165.8 ..... Maybe don't watch today. Busy stressful day. Packed my lunch and have preplanned dinner. Have time for my lunchtime walk today and will do some kind of activity after work.
9/15 - 163.8 .... 14,000+ steps, hit calorie goal and packed lunch for work today. It's pizza day at lunch today, I will either have a small veggie slice or skip altogether. Usually I have (1) small slice but I have been eating way above calorie goals so skipping may be the best option. It's funny how "free food" seems to pull you in. Cost you nothing dollar wise but you could pay for it in your hips!! Lets see how I do. The weekend is coming my goals are to either hit 40,000 steps in a day or challange myself to walk the hills in a very steep area of town or find something else challenging (like get on my 5K). Everyone is away for the next 2 weeks so I can't hike
9/16 - 162.6 10,094 steps. I did have a small piece of pizza after I ate my salad and fruit. I didn't crave anymore after, that was nice. Today's goals are to move and hit my calorie goals!! Have a great weekend!!

There's nothing wrong with taking a break as long as you set a date for when you get back to measuring food. Set a period of time. I took four days off during eclipse weekend where I ate with reckless abandon. I didn't lose 20 pounds in 4 days, I certainly wasn't going to gain 20. Yes, my weight went up about 5 pounds but a good portion of that was water weight and a week or so later I was back to where I had been. So, give yourself a well-earned vacation if that's what you need. It's better than beating yourself up and quitting. Just tell us when to expect you back. We'll be here for you.3 -

9/10 256.8 -- Same as yesterday. This is the low from last round. Let’s see if we can make it the high for this round!
9/11 258.2 --Bah humbug!! Blew through sodium and calorie deficit with late night snacking. Don’t snack off diary! Go to bed, Heidi! You’re not really hungry!!
9/12 257.2 -- I must have been self-medicating with food all my life. I started to feel the barometric pressure changes yesterday afternoon as Irma blew through and my immediate response was a big snack attack and then a nap. Very interesting. Stayed within calories by having a very low cal supper.
9/13 259.4 -- Gack!!! Let’s see … take-out Chinese, late night snacking … that’ll do it!
9/14 259.2 -- I’m having difficulty getting back to the new normal. I’m falling back into old habits. I must nip this in the bud. I need to take back control. I will start this morning. I know I can do this.
9/15 258.2 -- Stayed within limits yesterday. My sole goal right now is just to do that for the rest of the challenge. CICO
9/16 257.4 --Another day of CICO doing exactly as it ought. Maybe the first day won’t be the lowest day of this challenge after all!

Round 12: 174
Round 13: 171.4
Round 15: 166.8
Round 16: 164.6
9/10: 164.6 I was holding at 163-something for a few days in the past round, but it's jumped back up. I ran on the treadmill yesterday, and did indulge in some ribs last night for dinner. I also am holding on to some stress. Just daily life stuff, but I have a hard time sleeping when I think too much. I am so happy with the downward trend, though. Typing in those #s above: I've lost almost 10 pounds!
9/11: 166.3 I figured as much, based on my comments above. Had some rich food and a glass of prosecco last night, too. It's Monday, back to my routine.
9/12: 166.3 Was able to get back on track yesterday. Went 100 over in calories, but got in a good run last night. Rethinking some of my food choices, as every night I am too high in carbs. Need some more protein. Today so far, so good, although I am craving fish tacos from the taco truck on our campus, and not the lunch I brought!
9/13: 166.3 It's almost 11pm and I am just now remembering to track my weight from this morning. Busy busy day!
9/14: 164.4 We had a storm here yesterday, so was feeling very cozy. Made a roast chicken dinner for the family last night. Kids thought it was Christmas... Up to 30 mins of running now on my C210K app!
9/15: 164.4 No exercise yesterday and some sugar in the evening. Which was way too sweet, so my tastebuds have changed. Friend's birthday party tonight and someone signed us up for line dancing. So that will be my exercise tonight!

Thanks!! It's been over 10 years since I've been sub 150, I got close about 4 years ago and then some injuries got me down and i fell back into the couch potato groove...Now I feel better at 45 than I did in my 30's...best shape I've ever been in. I'm going to make it stick this time...I love being active with my boys and now they're getting older active means some very adventurous activities so it's a lot easier to do those without hauling around an extra 35 lbs!!!

Starting weight (Nov 2016): 202.2
Round 16 SW: 159.6
GW1: 142
9/10: 159.6 /I'm very disappointed with this weight. Ate very poorly yesterday for the first time in over 40 days. Yesterday I was at 158. Ate well and went swimming today. Hopefully, I'll be back down tomorrow!
9/11: 160.2 /Still disappointed. I feel like I'm paying the price for poor eating on Saturday. I ate under my goal yesterday and will be just under my goal today. Hopefully, things will start looking up again.
9/12: 158 /Finally back to where I was on Saturday! Hopefully it's onward and downward from here! Ate under calories yesterday. Need to go to the gym today!
9/13: 157.8 /Really loved the WOOSH yesterday and glad it's sticking around! Did make it to the gym yesterday but only did weights. Didn't have the energy for cardio. Will try to do both today! Stayed within calorie goal but went over by 50g in carbs yesterday. And had a square of apple pie today . I'll make sure to stay in my calorie range today despite the treat!
9/14: 157 /Started weighing everyday for this challenge, so I downloaded the Happy Scale app to track the trend. I'm curious to see what it'll show once it has more data points. Stayed within calories yesterday but didn't go to the gym. I will go today! Packed my gym clothes and everything. Did a tad better with water but have to drink more today.
9/15: 157 /Stayed at 157...I'm glad it's not going up! Ate well and did both weights and cardio yesterday. Ate all right up until now today but going to a work bar thing which may deadly. Fingers crossed that I don't go over in calories too much, especially because I have a reunion brunch on Sunday with grad school friends.
9/16 156.2 /This is crazy...I actually expected an increase because I had alcohol and pizza yesterday (just 20 over my calories, but expected water retention). I imagine it's a fluke. I guess I'll see tomorrow...before going to brunch, eek!

Day/Weight/Comment
9/10 151 this morning. I'm carefully measuring everything and plan on doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred once I submit my grades.
9/11 151.8 30 min eliptical - under calorie goals
9/12 150.6 Back to School night, so I won't be able to get a workout in. Maybe a walk. I just missed my step goal by 500 steps.
9/13 150.0 Met step goal. Did 1 hour of pilates and 20 minutes of elliptical. Under calorie goal.
9/14 149.0 Within calorie goal.
9/15 148.6 A little over calorie goal but got a short walk in.
9/16 147 Whaaaat? I think I need a new battery for my scale. I went on it 6 times and got different readings including one as low as 143. Anyway, 30 minutes spin class and my legs felt like jelly. 10 minutes on the elliptical.

Ultimate goal - 135
R16 Goals: eat well, ~1830 cals, walk 60+ and stretch daily, weight training 30 min/3 days
5'3", 64 yrs
R15 (R1 for me) ave 151.8
Round 16
9/10 - 151.6
Last week I didn't get my usual exercise due to smoke/hazardous air quality from forest fires. My calories averaged 1830 and weight stayed steady, so this round I'm going to keep my calories at that level but get back to my usual walking 60-120 min/day and see what happens. I find these daily check ins inspiring and motivational, so thanks!
9/11 - 151.6
I went about 200 over my calorie goal, so ok. :-)
9/12 - 151.2
Back to walking (90 minutes yesterday) - yay!
9/13 - 151
Getting my daily walks and sticking to my calories goal (~1850). I've also changed my macro goals a bit this time around to 25-30% protein, 30-35% fat (heavy on healthy fats), and 35-40% carbs (mostly non-starchy veggies, fruits, and a teeny bit of whole grain and/or legumes and/or nuts and seeds). Increasing the fat and reducing the carbs slightly makes me less hungry - yay! I do indulge in either a little good chocolate or some licorice - no more that 100 calories, to be eaten slowly and savored! Because all things in moderation, including moderation. :-)
9/14 - 150.8
I had an extra 200 calories yesterday, but all good, healthy ones, and they don't seem to have hurt me so far. It's a gorgeous day here, so I plan to backpack my laptop to Starbucks (30 minutes), work a couple of hours, and backpack home. I've been trying to walk anywhere I need to go within 2 miles (unless I'll have stuff to carry!). I'm a writer and often write in coffee shops, and luckily there are several within 1-2 miles. I just wish my laptop were a bit lighter! But I remind myself that the extra weight = more calories burned. :-)
9/15 - 151.2
Ah, the time lag. Yesterday I ate 1850 and walked 90 minutes, so this small uptick is from Thurs. I think water is also a factor, since I did have more sodium than usual. I won't be walking today (the smoke is back), but I have today's food all planned. I sometimes consider cutting back on calories, but I don't want to mess up my metabolism again, so I'm learning patience. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
9/16 - 151.2
Mexican yesterday, so I didn't expect to lose any. Smoke/air quality is "unhealthy" today, so no long walks again. We're supposed to get rain tonight or tomorrow, so hopefully it will help with the fires and the air quality. Happily, I just put a week's worth of my overnight breakfasts in the fridge - yum yum!

This will be my first round.
SW on April 9, 2017 #268.2 Started the Ketogentics Lifestyle
Lost 30lbs with no weight loss (stalled) for 4 weeks..
RD1/SW 9/9/17- 238.6
9/10= 237.6 Wow..I haven't lost any weight in a month. I've been bouncing up and down with the same dang 2lbs. It was driving me crazy. You guys are my lucky charm! Thank you!
9/11= Well back to that same old ugly #238.6. I swear my scale must be broken to stay that # for 4 weeks. I know I lost 1# yesterday but here it is again!! Wth!! Oh.. I'm not giving up yet! Stupid scale!! You are just not my friend sometimes
9/12=238.6 OMG..Really? Really? At least I know how to maintain?? grrrr!! Don't want to maintain..I want to get way past this number. I think I'm going to try Intermittent Fasting. See if that will work on getting me past this number...finally. I will start tomorrow since I've already had my Keto Coffee. Yummers!!
9/13= 237.0 OH YEAH!! Haven't started I.F yet. But I did eat a lot more protein yesterday but net carbs was only 3. Hhmm?? Maybe I need more protein and even less carbs. I will do the same today and see if I lose again. Interesting!! I will soon have no more diabetes. I quit taking my metformin 2 weeks after I started Keto when I knew this would be my new life style. Just would like to stay in the 80's for this round. Welcome friends!
Day/Weight/Comment
9/10 - 190 this is what happens when mfp posts the big red warning that the food you are about to eat will put you over your salt limit for the day.. and you ignore it! On to the water bottle. Lol
9/11 - 188.8
9/12 - 188.8
9/13 - 188.4
9/14 - 189 Ate horribly yesterday, sushi for lunch and 4 black Russians for dinner but came out of it under calories because of the huge amount of walking I did yesterday. Still slightly hung over, arrgghh. I'm going to eat well and drink all my water today, I'm due for a woosh.
9/15 - 189 I'm still at 189, sigh, I ate great yesterday, had a glass of wine at dinner. This is the day I weigh in for the biggest loser blah.. was hoping for a little drop. I'm happy where I am though.
9/16 - 188.8 been hanging around this weight for all this round and half of last, time to let it go body!

Day/Weight/Comment
9/10 - 185.8 - not good!! Tomorrow will probably be worse or about the same. I ate like crap today and didn't drink enough water. I always relax too much when I see a lower weight on the scale. Oh well.. it's a process!
9/11 - 187 - I was expecting this. I feel bloated and dehydrated. I ate a lot of sugar and carbs yesterday. Back on track today so this water weight should come off quickly...i hope!
9/12 - 184.6 - That's much better. I can't believe how sensitive my body is to high sugar/sodium and not drinking enough water. On Sunday I still drank probably 70oz of water but not enough to keep the bloat at bay. I usually drink 3-4 32oz bottles of water.
9/13 - 184.4 - Slow and steady I guess. It will be interesting to see how tomorrow looks. I didn't drink nearly enough water because I worked all day and forgot more water from home (i hate city water!).
9/14 - 183.4 - Yay!! Finally below my R15 ending weight!
9/15 - 182.6 - Well, look at that! Woohoo! I'm so happy to see this number...way better than the 187 I saw on Monday!
9/16 - 183.2 - whomp whomp whooommpp....so far today is not looking great but I'm going to eat better and drink more water!

Starting weight 2012: 201
Starting weight 2017: 184
9/10: 175 lbs. I made worse food choices today than I have in over a month. I did log everything, at least, and stuck to no sugar.
9/11: 175 lbs. My day off, I lazed around. The day isn't over but so far I'm staying well within my calories and no sugar. Not enough protein, though.
9/12: 175.5 lbs, ugh, still paying for Sunday's cheese binge maybe. Well, I'm under my daily calories again today, no added sugar, no impulse eating. Been doing well on getting enough water. Haven't been eating after 8:00 pm.
9/13: 175 lbs. Staying in my calories, no added sugar, no impulse eating, plenty of water, decent amt of protein, it's early yet but no reason to eat after 8pm. Boring work day but decent diet day.
9/14: 173 lbs. I know it's a fluctuation, but I'll take it! I was stuck in a 175.5/175/175.5 loop for 10 days so I needed a win. I'm now officially 10+ lbs down from when I rejoined MFP this time.
9/15: 174 lbs. I knew yesterday wasn't for real, oh well. Stayed in calories, no added sugar, no impulse eating.
I'm a little concerned about tomorrow, I have a physical event at work and there will be lots of snacks. Bringing nuts and dried apricots for an energy boost so i can avoid the sugary granola bars. I might be very hungry if I stay in my calories for the day but it won't really be loggable exercise. (A lot of standing in the sun & carrying things around.)
9/16: 175 lbs. Nooooooo not again. I'm eating fewer than 1500 calories, not sure what's going on.
Work event went fine, tired but I didn't need to snack.
Side note, It's been more than 6 weeks since I quit *almost* every form of added sugar or sugar substitute, and I've been patting myself on the back about not having sugar cravings. Then last night I had a detailed dream about eating a giant tray of cookies while drinking a sweet liqueur. So maybe I haven't quite beat my little sugar addiction yet.

End R15 (my first round): 189.6
Goal R16: 186
UWG: 120-130
9/10 - 189.4 -- happy to see another loss! Woke up With sore muscles though; might need to pass up the dancing session today if I don't get better 'til later. Supposed break is for tomorrow, might take it today instead.
9/11 - 190 -- yesterday was quite a disaster. My housemate, who was quite a good cook, made spaghetti. The sinful aroma, that creamy sauce...ok, I gave in and had some, went over my calories...
9/12 - 188.7 -- nice. Just need to continue with my current diet.
9/13 - 188.7 -- ok. Still looking good, at least it stayed the same and didn't go up.
9/14 - 187.2 -- yey! My all time low for the past months!
9/15 - 187.2 -- steady, steady! Slowly but will surely make it to my goal.
9/16 - 190.7 -- I blew it! This is even more than my end weight last round! Weekends are really horrible! Why is it so difficult to control myself during my day off? Oh well, at least I knew where this weight came from. Pizza, pasta, and lots lots of salt. Got 3 more days before this round ends. Got a lot to fix!

Day/Weight/Comment
9/10: 165.6 Ewwww. The 165s reared it's ugly head. I'm sure this has *nothing * at all to do with yesterday's Mexican food.
9/11: 165.6 Whew. Could have been worse. Planned to ride my bicycle to watch football but woke up too late. Ate too much. Drank too many calories. First day over 2000 calories in nearly two months, so it's OK.
9/12: 165.0 Alright self, three days of crap eating is enough. Get back to business!
9/13: 164.8 Creeping back down.
9/14: 163.2 Oh please, oh please 163s, stick around for my Friday team challenge weigh-ins!
9/15: 162.8 Thank you, Scale Fairy, for delivering this gift of a new low on team weigh-in day. Yay! Going to do the 162 dance all day today!
9/16: 162.4 Ggggooooaaaalllll! Apparently burned extra calories doing the "162 Dance" yesterday.
