    Net daily goal = 1,430, for a theoretical loss of 1/2 pound/wk
    Total average over the past week = 1,542/day
    Net average (total minus exercise cals burned) over the past week = 1,134/day (a little low this week)
    Workout 6-7 days/week, usually either 30 or 60 min/day of cardio (have cut back on weights due to carpal tunnel syndrome); otherwise fairly sedentary

    150 has always been my "comfort weight" and is just inside healthy BMI -- Once I get there, I want to maintain that for a while to see if I want to lose anything more. My main focus is on sustainability.
    Current body fat (via Accu-Measure calipers) = 29.2%, which places me at the upper end of "ideal" for a woman my age.

    Male 29 (30 on Thursday) 6'0" 212.4 lbs on my last weigh in.
    Net daily goal = 1480 C to theoretically lose 2lbs a week (980C deficit per day)

    I workout between 6 and 7 days a week, burning on average 1500+ calories from exercise (distance runner)

    Intake usually around 3000C

    maintaining, but having trouble losing inches off my waist. happy with everything else, except that.
    exercise: pilates for 32 minutes at least 3 times a week, sometimes jog for 30 minutes

    I try to eat about 1400 calories per day. But I usually eat anywhere from 1,000 calories through 1,800 calories. It depends on the day and how hungry I am.

    1800-2100 kcals a day. Some of you people need to eat more. You should only cut 15-20% of your TDEE.

    If you cannot sustain what you are doing for the rest of your life, it isn't going to work.

    The more weight you have to lose, a greater deficit is allowable.

    I eat between 1400-1600 calories a day, depending on how active I've been. Sedentary days are 1400 or so. I use a fitbit to monitor how active I am since I work from home, and allow it to adjust my calories here on MFP.

    Dietician recommends a NET for me 1650 to lose

    I've been eating about 1200 total(Not net).. I normally exercise 1 & 1/2hrs to 3 & 1/2hrs daily so I'm usually way under calories(I don't recommend!)

    Depends on how quickly you want to lose and if you're able to maintain without feeling starved. 1200 a day with fruit, veggies & protein is adequate and with all you're doing you should lose quickly.

    AWESOME WEIGHT LOSS. You surely don't have a job and still get in that much exercise do you? Is there a particular reason you're doing so much exercise?

    Exercise: Cardio 5-6 times a week (interval training normally, but right now I'm doing 5K training. Lifting 3x a week. Skating/hockey training once every two weeks.

    1300 calories a day.

    GW: 115 What I'm really aiming for isn't so much of loss of weight, but getting fit enough that I lose the fat around my midsection. So whether it fluctuates or not is irrelevant.
    Exercise: Meditation once a week for an hour, sit ups 5-6x a day for 5min. and walking 30min.

    My daily calorie goal is set at 1480, but I try to aim below it.

    I try to NET about 1300, but anywhere between 1200-1400 is fine.

    However, I exercise a lot now that I belong to a gym so sometimes it's hard to eat most of the calories back. I do give it my best effort though.

    So even though my NET is low, I'm eating much more usually.

    currently eating 1600-2000 calories and would be exercising 6 days a week but the last 2 weeks it's been considerably less due to illness

    My job is moderately active on an average day so that substitutes just keeps me in check then exercise is a bonus.

    Well it is good to eat less calories in a day specially for those people who want to loss weight. I eat below 2500 calories in a day. I think it is enough to eat 2500 calories in a day.

    MFP says I should eat 1200 cals. @ day, but I think I have hit that goal only once (when I went0 24 cals. over.
    I always end up eating under ( I am working on it).

    Wow...am I the first Male??? I'm finally number one at something!!

    Im 6', 184 lbs

    Monday thru Wed = 1840 cals/day
    Thur -Fri = 2300 cals/day
    Sat - Sun = 2800 cals/day

    I average about 1 lbs loss per week on this. This was set up for me by a sports nutritionist. The idea is to not cut back so much that your body slows down it's metabolism and it's a great way to slowly lose fat. My goal is to be at about 13% body fat by Jan 2013 for the Houston Marathon.
