Wonderful that you joined us---it's great that you are here at this time of year---keep setting daily goals, come on here every day (I've slowed way down in coming here daily, but I can tell you checking in here frequently has been a huge part of my 30lb weight loss this year) and by January 1 you will be off to a good start!

    Recap W 12/19
    1) Walked dog before work ~ last time before sunrise this year since I will be off work starting Friday ~ yay! 3.61 mi 1:04:40 / stretched = happy dog & happy me :smiley:
    2) Move hourly / stairs breaks at work / 5 somethings = Fitbit 19,449 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 boom! & 70 floors :smiley: Very active in evening again (see #4).
    3) Meals & snacks prelogged / stick w/ plan / net calories green / 14c water = Meals and usual snacks are fine, but extra evening snacking is happening. I do it b/c I've been so busy/active in evenings after a full workday, and getting tired before I'm done w/ to-do's. I know this busy-ness will end soon, so not going to stress about it. I'm happy that I haven't let workouts slip. Net calories -212 :/ , sodium -236 (not bad), sugar -15, fiber & protein ok, 14c water (yay).
    4) Evening: bank ~ pay property taxes & cash for gifts :smiley: / put out snowman decorations :smiley: & found the one item I've been looking for ~ so happy / WASH DISHES :smiley: full dishwasher plus hand washing ~ wow / other? 2 loads of laundry & everything taken upstairs AND put away! Many trips upstairs at home. :smiley:

    JFT R 12/20 ~ My last day at work for the rest of the year! :D I am off with Christmas & New Year's holidays, weekends, vacation & personal time. After tomorrow, hubby is done working until next year too. <3 We're not traveling except for day trips during that time. My daily MFP goal will be to post using my computer at home ~ I don't mind logging food using my phone, but dislike posting on my phone.
    1) Meals & usual snacks prelogged / net calories green / 14c water
    2) Workplace mindfulness hike at lunchtime ~ hoping the drizzle ends

    Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut
    1. Go to Mac store and see if they can retrieve the files off the iMac. Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" at thrift stores.
    2. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Regular: needs practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me).
    3. Find out if a second masters pays the same as an EdS (email HH). Revise Machiavelli Prince Analysis - Part 1 paraphrased explanation, Part 2 quote & leader choice & explanation, part 3 reflection. Connect standards to assignments and include them in titles and in gradebook.
    4. Develop writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell.     Pretty stoked! Asked the therapist about starting running again and she went WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?! but when I pointed out that I was asking because my appointments this week are closer together (going back Friday) and that it's supposed to be cold and rainy so I'd be inside on a treadmill, she had me get on the treadmill there to check my gait. I walked for a little at 4.0, nice quick pace, and then did 5 minutes at 5.8. WOW that was tough! She said that if I started to get fatigued to dial it back to walking so that I could make sure I wasn't favoring that foot again. So hopefully tomorrow I can run a little! :D

    Did NOT get all the grading done. Just couldn't get through it, alas! I'll have to do more tomorrow. Maybe I can finish it off then...

    Ugh. Just had to redecorate the WHOLE tree.
    Baubles, tinsel, beads, lights.. THE LOT.
    Darn kids.
    The bottom branches were a mess! They actually managed to tangle the bottom branches to the one above. There were gaps everywhere where you could see the "stem", it looked haggard.

    Anyway, It's now decorated beautifully if I do say so myself! I'll post a pic in a sec! And it's all even with no gaps :D
    So I'm happy.
    And ill be on tree watch until Christmas day LOL.

    Only 2 more projects to finish! I feel like we have accomplished so much this year with little stress and no arguments!!!!!

    I delivered one ladder today and my daughter took hers home last night. I’ll post pics shortly. Making one for myself is one of my remaining projects.

    I received my access code and was able to put my first EI report in today, I am praying this means I’ll have a deposit before Christmas. It sure will help with the last minute things and groceries!

    We went to our Grandson’s Christmas concert today, watching children perform is one of my favourite holiday rituals.
